This is the place for anyone new to the guild to introduce yourself!
A little about me:
My name is Misakyra. I'm from Fort Worth TX, and this is going to be my first NaNo. I'm writing a science fiction novel this year, which makes me very happy. I'll finally be getting an idea out that's been in my head for years.

Hello, all, my name is Journey. (Yes, that's my real name.) It's also my username on NaNo.
As to me: I'm 18, taking a year off from school before I go to college and major in Politicla Science with a minor in Women's Studies. I'm very liberal, a vegetarian, pro-choice, pro-gay rights lesbian. heart I'm currently on a Sailor Moon kick, but really my favorite TV shows other than that are "Law & Order: SVU," "Crossing Jordan," and the favorite of favorites, "Criminal Minds."
As to NaNo: Like I said in the thread, this is my second time doing NaNo, and hopefully this time I'll finish. My novel fits into the YA/GLBT category. I'm a huuuuge activist for students' rights, so the subject holds a place in my heart and will be the main point of the novel. It's actually about trying to get a gay-straight alliance -- as well as relationship developments, self-discovery, you know the usual YA stuff -- but I'm hoping to sneak some other students' rights subjects in there.

Goooo new people. I'm Ryuunohime's boyfriend and we'll be spending the month of November trying to keep each other motivated. lol

Hey, great to be here!
I've been looking forward to NaNoWriMo since last spring, I think, when I first started thinking I was going to make a serious go of it this year. I got up to 12k words last year and I was actually on target for a while, but I knew it wasn't really a priority for me, because I had so much else going on. I'm really going to try to finish this year! I did finish my novel in 2002, and it's just very cool when you're able to look at the finished product and see what you've accomplished.
This year, I'm going to do something a little tougher than I've tried before. I'm going for something a lot more internal and emotional... we'll see how it goes. I've got 2 distinct storylines planned out, and half the story will be told in dreams... I think I've still to make a more concrete outline, though, just so I don't get lost and overwhelmed. Long fiction really is difficult for me!

Hey everyone! Please call me Zii... ^^ I'm new to the guild. I only made it to about 17k last year, then had to stop for personal reasons, so I'm hoping to make this the year that I successfully complete NaNoWriMo. I'm trying to finish pieces for my art portfolio for college applications as well-- so we'll see how it goes.
I have a pretty good grasp of a plot for this year's story already, and I'm going to make some notes over the next week or so to get ready.

Hello everyone!! This is my first NaNoWriMo and I am EXCITED!! Everywhere I go I've been contemplating my novel, and I had a great breakthrough driving home under the streetlights tonight... and it led to the perfect transitional plot device. ^^

Eh yes.
Well, this is going to be my first year doing this, I wanted to join last year, but I didn't have the time nor real motivation. (I don't have the time now either, but I'm still going to try!)
I'll be writing a fantasy story
Hmm, my name in there is obvious oxymoron like here, so that's fairly easy.

Hi, this is miraiyouko, and this will be my first year doing NaNo too- I blame misakyra for daring me to do this. blaugh I'm thinking about several ideas, but I guess I should choose one soon, ne? Whatever I choose, it'll be considered sci-fi/fantasy, I'm not sure which. Wish me luck!

'Ello everyone! I'm Allisande, or Alli, on both Gaia and nano. This is my first official one, so I'm kind of keeping my fingers crossed. I've tried unofficially twice before this, and I've always had to stop. Grrr... Ah, well. Maybe I'll do better with a better support group.

Hi there. I'm [=Moonlight=] here, Jahkari Owens on NaNo. Call me what you like, I'm fairly flexible. =3
This is my first year doing NaNo, though I've contimplated doing it for three years. Finally getting around to it... My Freshman year of high school.
Okay, yeah, THAT was poor planning on my part.
For my novel I'm torn between a Fantasy idea I have and a Young Adult idea I have. The YA one might be easier (you can put super-trivial things in there to eat up the word count, after all! =3)... So I may just go with that, just for the ease factor.
Oh, and thank you to whomever invited me to the guild... Thought I'd throw that out. XD I'd ramble more, but I've a math test to study for.

Hello! I'm Phiso on both sites. ^_^ I've participated twice already, but have never won. crying Oh well, it's still fun. ^O^
Since I'm afraid I don't have time, I'm caught between either doing a fanfiction I've already started but know will take ages to finish, or doing what I've always done and make something up. Oh well, either way, I'll try my best. ^_____^
