The petite lioness prowled through the tall savannah grass, her belly low to the ground. Her scarlet eyes flashed fiercely and in an instant, her body was a blur, rocketing forward. A shrill cry pierced through the cool night air as Roho's claws sank into her prey - a young klipspringer. A twisted grin slipped over her lips as it fell, struggling, to the ground. She leapt upon it, fastening her jaws over its throat. In a single bite, it was dead, and she smirked. The perfect meal for her cubs.
Roho leaned over sank her teeth into the tough skin in its hide and picked it up, glancing around. For some odd reason, she felt as though there was another presence nearby, but she shook it off. Even if there was, it wasn't something she couldn't deal with. Setting a brisk pace, she began to lope back towards her den.

Mrost wasn't going anywhere fast, he was merely walking, trying to keep himself from just giving in to the temptation to find a good tree and sleep the day away in the shade. He was bitter about the distinct lack of things to do of late and generally took it out on those he met. Mrost in times of peace and Mrost in times of war were two very different lions.
He felt a glimmer of ambition nearby, nothing remarkable but something nonetheless. He turned towards where Roho was walking and set out at an effortless run to go see what he could spy.
As he drew nearer he was hard to miss, his armour as always looking freshly polished.

The warm trickle of blood down her chin gave her the insatiable urge to tear savagely into the carcass, but for once her almost nonexistant motherly instincts took precendence, so she grudgingly continued to haul the klipspringer towards the den. She grumbled inwardly, giving an incoherent growl about how they better appreciate the meal. Her muscles flexed under her smooth coat as she strode forward, and it took a few moments for her to realize the presence of another. As soon as it hit, she stopped in her tracks and dropped the catch immediately. Her instincts took over and she spun around, baring her teeth in a furious snarl.
When her eyes fell upon the perpetrator, however, her mouth closed and she stood quietly for a moment. The blue form itself was nothing remarkable, but never before had she seen a lion coated with armour - or one with broken wings (or any wings, for that matter) - or long horns protruding from beside its ears.
After taking a moment to collect herself, she said simply, "A god, huh?" A slight smirk crept over her lips. "That's something you don't see every day."
Truthfully, she was a bit surprised. She had always stood firm in the notion that gods don't exist and all of that, but the reckless lioness wasn't about to show her astonishment to the stranger, deity or not.
