The only kinds of hats I ever see people wear are baseball caps. Baseball caps are dumb. In the words of a well known sociologist known only as Keith, "anyone who wears a baseball cap all the time is a dumbass." While there are exceptions to the rule, a new study done by sociology students at a community college in Kentucky shows that there is in fact a correlation between dumbasses and people who wear baseball caps. This might explain why nobody wears hats.
People should wear more hats and move more zig.

Well I wear my Jesters Cap (done in blood red and black) and a nice metal hat. Do those work?

I have a newsie-style cap that I would definitely wear more often, should I have the proper attire to match it. Perhaps this weekend I will wear my cap a bit. ^_^

Hats do often need an outfit to go with.

No. I do that often enough for my tastes. However if you want to go out in public they do need at least a couple scraps of cloth to go with.

My guess is 'politically correct'.
on topic: Hats make me look doofy so I err more on the side of bandanas if I do wear headgear.
