Nibal had finally managed to talk Perilas into taking him to the park. On one condition: That the boy ride in a stroller that Peri had bought. The man was tired of carrying the kid around all of the time. Nibal wiggled too much. If he was in a stroller, then it would be much easier. The boy wasn't exactly thrilled about that idea, but if it was getting him to the park, well, he'd just suffer.
So that was how Peri ended up pushing a stroller around the park. They were looking for a good place for Nibal to play. He couldn't play on the swingset and didn't like the idea of the sandbox. Too many things required legs as they soon found out. Nibal frowned, then finally spotted something. The slide. He could just pull himself up the steps and then slide on down, right?
He pointed towards the slide, looking up at his dad with the other thumb in his mouth. "Eh?" Peri turned the stroller and headed for the slide. When they got there, he lifted the boy out, then took the empty stroller over to one of the benches to sit and keep an eye on the kid.

The day was just too nice to stay inside. Anoki had suffered through five hours of reading, writing, 'rithmetic, AND elementary magic tutoring. After Myung-Ki flooded the apartment with smoke, they had decided it was time to go. The park was a pretty obvious destination. It had been a while since Anoki had gotten to swing, and he hadn't been allowed on the slide since the time he'd bumped his head on it. He wondered if the dent was still there.
Sliding down a stretch of metal wasn't Myung-Ki's idea of a good time. The metal itself, however, was slightly appealing. It wasn't particularly precious, and it was an awful silvery color, but it had potential. However as they neared the slide, he spotted others near HIS place. Unacceptable. Inhaling, he let out his most fearsome growl, accompanied by a good bit of hot air. It wasn't a very impressive growl, but Myung-Ki felt it got his feelings across well.

Slowly, Nibal had made his way to the top of the slide. The boy took a moment to gather his breath and glance about before preparing to slide down. But just as he was about to slide down, a loud, nearby, and very scary noise startled him, causing him to shriek a bit as he went down the slide, having lost his grip to keep him at the top.
Peri looked over to the slide when he heard Nibal and spotted one of the D-corp students and the boy's red dragon. Oh joy. Well, Nibal didn't appear hurt, so Peri decided to wait and see how the tadpole kid handled the situation.

Anoki was almost as horrified as the poor child, and quickly pulled Myung-Ki back by one of his stubby horns. As soon as he could he put one arm around the dragon's chest and held as tightly as he could. "Th-that was b-bad, Myung-K-ki! Bad!"
The grip held, but only because Myung-Ki didn't feel like escaping. After all, he had his person wrapped around his claws (and the rest of him). Indifferent to the words of scolding, he looked away and blew a puff of hot air.
Only when he was sure that Myung-Ki would behave did Anoki look up fearfully. Not only had his dragon scared a smaller kid, but his parent- and a teacher, if he remembered correctly- was there too. "I'm s-sorry. He d-doesn't like all p-people."

Nibal looked up, a bit tearfully, from where he'd pretty much landed facefirst at the bottom of the slide. His lower lip quivered for a moment, until his eyes fell upon what had made the noise. Oooh, a dragon. Like the ones P'las worked with!
The boy somehow got himself straightened out and started to wiggle-pull his way towards Anoki and the red dragon. "He yours?" Nibal asked as he grew close enough that the other boy would hear him.

Myung-Ki snorted indignantly, having understood the gist of the question. He didn't belong to anyone, thankyouverymuch! It was only Anoki's grip that kept him from lunging, and he was forced to be content with blowing another puff of air and ignoring the legless runt.
Misinterpreting Myung-Ki's displeasure, Anoki nodded. "W-we're p-partners. But it's h-hard sometimes," he added, then immediately regretted it. The teacher was right there! He wasn't supposed to complain. Changing course quickly, he strengthened his grip on the dragon. "Are you ok-kay?"

Nibal thought over Anoki's answer, then looked down at himself as if to see if he was alright. That wasn't hard, considering how he wasn't wearing anything. "Mm-hmm." The boy stated, nodding his head.
Peri just ignored Anoki's comment and, well, just about everything else. Once he saw that his charge was okay and wasn't crying, he'd pulled out a book (about dragons, of course) to read. He'd found a new one with some rather weird ideas in it.

"G-good." Anoki let out a sigh of relief, loosing his grip on Myung-Ki a bit. Since he'd almost knocked the kid over, he figured it would be a good idea to help a bit, and having someone else to play with wouldn't hurt either. Still, despite his obvious seniority his voice shook a little. "I'm Anoki K-kenelm. And th-this is Myung-K-ki. C-can we p-play with you?"
Snorting, Myung-Ki pawed the ground boredly. Picking on someone so weak wouldn't be any fun. All he had to do to feel superior was ignore the tadpole and he'd be perfectly content.

The boy grinned happily. "Sure! 'M Nibal." Nibal glanced about at the playground for a bit. "Whatcha wanna pway?" Surely the older kid knew a lot of fun games, perhaps even some that Nibal could play as well. And he would get to play with a dragon, too. P'las didn't let him hang around the classroom because of the dragons. Nibal didn't get it. He was going to get a dragon of his own when he was older. P'las had said so.

What to play... that was the question. Anoki knew lots of indoor games, but not too many outdoor ones. Usually when he was outside he played on the playground things, or just walked around. Since they were already in the playground, that was a good place to start. And maybe Nibal would like his favorite part too. "W-wanna swing?"
Myung-Ki wanted to do no such thing. Instead he climbed onto the flattish bottom of the slide and curled up contentedly. It was a sunnyish day, and he would be perfectly happy basking on a big piece of shiny.

Nibal grinned, nodding. Whatever it was, it sounded like fun. Especially if this boy liked it. "Yeah, yeah." He glanced over at the red dragon. "He no swing?" Nibal pointed over at Myung-Ki, a bit unneccesarily.

Anoki considered Myung-Ki's position and shook his head. "H-he's okay." If the dragon felt like staying there, then Anoki would just have to keep an eye on him. In the meantime he led the way over to the swings, taking a seat in one of them. "You ever d-done swings b-before?"
It was around this time that Raven discovered Anoki's absense, and wasn't pleased. He was such a nuisance, making her stop what she was doing! Frowning, she pulled on a sweater and closed the door to their apartment. She had a pretty good idea of where he was, and when she found him, he would regret having left.

Nibal looked at the red dragon for a moment longer, then turned to follow after Anoki, pulling himself along. "No." He answered, eyeing the swings.
Peri glanced up for a moment to eye the two boys, then his attention went back to his book. At least they hadn't run into someone a little more dangerous. Like, say, Simon.

"It's easy!" Anoki exclaimed, more to convince than younger boy than with any real feeling in it. "You j-just sit, and t-to move, use y-your-" He almost said legs, but cut off abruptly. Nibal didn't have legs. Would that be a bad thing? It was difficult to tell.
Finally, Anoki stood and offered his seat. "I'll p-push you. Kay?"

"Oh." The boy looked at the swing. "Okay." He puled himself over closer to the swing and reached up. Luckily, the swings were low, designed for kids, and he could pull himself up. Nearly toppling right back out, Nibal grabbed the ropes to help steady himself a bit.
