A brief overview (this really is brief by the way so don't complain).
The inhabitants of the Shifter Realm have two unique gifts. The first is what gives them their name, their shifting ability. Now it is different for each class. The royals can shift into any form they want. The nobles can shift into two different phyla(?) in a form’s kingdom and the middle class can shift into the anything of that animal’s kind. The lower class can only shift into one (maybe two) animals of a certain species. When a SHifter shifts, he/she stays in there form untill they shift back. Once they shift, they can eat, sleep and do non-PG13 things in that form.
The other unique gift of the shifter realm is given only to the royals and a few of the noble houses. This is commonly called Mind-Gifts. The royals, and some noble families, all have some sort of mental ability. Telekinesis, telepathy, empathy, farseeing, farhearing, farspeaking, catching (bringing things places with their mind), teleportation and sight. Sometimes one of these traits show up in a noble family, they are codominate and two usually shows up in the direct royal family and in some other people. Their powers are not like the power the fey have because they fey’s can use like the power of the earth while the morphs can only use what power they have in their bodies, this is only for the Mind-Gift. As long as a shifter is alive, it can shift.

Shifting
The royals can shift into any form they want. The nobles can shift into two different phyla(?) in a form’s kingdom and the middle class (merchant, artisan, etc) can shift into the anything of that animal’s kind. The lower class can only shift into one (maybe two) animals.
For example a royal can shift into anything they can think of.
A noble could shift into any kind of mammal or reptile ((if the rp-er so chooses)) or any two types of plants or any to types or rocks. But a noble can not shift into, like, any type of mammal and any kind of sedimentary rock.
A middle class citizen could only shift into any kind of feline, or any kind of avian etc., but only something from the feline family or he avian family, not both.
A lower class citizen can only shift into like two kinds of canine or two kinds of lizard.
When a shifter shifts, any scars, birthmarks or tattoos shift with them. When a Shifter shifts into an animal form, they can speak to any kind of animal not just what they shift into. Real animals refer to themselves as People, shifters as (the) Mixed and the rest of the Underground dwellers as (the) Others.
Forms: Animals (mammals, reptiles, amphibians, avians, insects), plants, rocks, anything residing in the Underground, anything they can think of (royals only)
