The sun was setting on one of Miki's better days. Him and his best friend, Michael, had gone to the local fair. Miki wore black jeans with a black, v-neck tank top. Michael wore a deep blue t-shirt with regular blue jeans. "That was so fun!" Miki yelled. In the emptiness of the street, he couldn't contain his excitement in any longer. Michael laughed and nudged his friend. "I can make tonight better…if you want," he said, almost a whisper. Miki quieted down and blushed. Michael took a step towards Miki, putting his right arm around him. With his left, he ran his hand through Miki's deep red hair. He pressed their lips together and shared a passionate kiss. "No, stop it!" Miki yelled. He was shirtless, and his pants were ripped down the right leg. Miki took a step back, hitting the back wall of Michael’s house. Michael slammed his fist into the wall just above Miki's left shoulder. With his other hand, Michael caressed Miki's bare chest. Lifting his head of pale blond hair, he looked Miki directly in the eyes. Miki returned the gaze, his red eyes filling with tears as he noticed the empty stare Michael had. "Stop it!" he repeated. Michael threw a beer can to the ground and licked Miki's cheek then forced a deep kiss. Miki pulled away and in frustration, pushed Michael to the ground. After a few deep breaths, he ran towards the door. Just as he had reached it, the doorknob turned slightly. Miki’s throat clamped shut. He could breath. He stopped abruptly, watching the door open and seal his fate. In the doorframe stood a tall and slender middle-aged man with long, flowing blond hair. His wore a business suit of charcoal gray, a red tie, and a white shirt. "Is this the boy?" He said. His voice was light but deep enough to offset his looks. The man took off his jacket. He took his black dress-shoes off and stepped towards Miki. Stunned by his only way out being torn away from him, he hesitated. The man placed a hand on Miki's shoulder and embraced him gently. "Was he being a bad boy again?" he asked, referring to Michael. Miki was scared. There was no way he could escape now. Michael walked over to him. "Bad boy? You're the one who paid for him, Anthony," Michael said as he walked to the door. "I was just warming him up for you. He's all yours now." He took a step out the open door into the night and looked back. "Have fun..." were his last words as he shut the door. Miki felt tears rolling down his cheeks. Anthony raised Miki's head to look at his. Miki blinked and more tears came. "I'll be gentle...little boy" Anthony softly. He slowly lowered Miki to the floor, kissing his neck. Miki closed his eyes. The next day, the sun rose and shone through Miki's window. The light pierced into his dreams, waking him. Remembering the night before, he almost began to cry but held it in, knowing it wouldn't help. He got up slowly. Placing his feet on the floor, he realized he was naked. Miki had never felt dirtier. He removed the blanket, revealing his smooth body. Miki stood and walked over to his closet. He picked out normal jeans and a white t-shirt. He opened a drawer and took out a pair of boxers. Miki continued to his bedroom door and opened it cautiously, not wanting to alert anyone in the house of his wakening. When he looked out into the living room, there was no one. Aside from some clothes and a dozen beer cans or so, it was clean. He adjusted his grip on the clothing and walked into the bathroom quickly. Placing the clothes on the sink, he turned on the shower and stood beneath the cool liquid. Why? He thought. Why would he… Miki lifted his head. The water poured over his face, running down his body, caressing it with its cool touch. Why? he repeated. Miki dried off and put his clothes on. He walked out of the bathroom, rubbing his hair dry with a light blue towel. The house was still empty. He took a deep breath then let it out quickly. He turned around and walked back to his room. Miki quickly ran a comb through his hair and grabbed a bag. The bag was oval in shape, yellow in color, and the single strap was black. The bag itself had a black horizontal stripe around its middle. Miki walked into the kitchen and put some small foods, bottled water, and some fruit in it for later. He placed the smooth strap over his shoulder and jogged to the front door. He put on his shoes and opened the portal to the outside world. The smell of fresh, morning air hit him. He took a deep breath and gave a half-smile to the world. He closed the door behind him and walked to the sidewalk. As he walked off the property, he looked to his right for any on coming cars before he crossed. As he looked, Miki noticed Michael's blue Mustang make its way in front of him. Michael rolled down the window; Anthony was in the passenger's seat. "Where you going?" he asked with a smile. Miki looked away, an angry expression showed. "I'm just going out. I'll be back in the evening." He then proceeded to walk off as the car pulled into the driveway. Anthony stepped out, then Michael. Miki looked back as Anthony glanced over. "I'll be awaiting your return...little boy" he said, tipping the small black hat he wore in addition to his suit. He gave a malevolent grin and followed Michael into the house. Miki took a few steps forward then stopped. His anger was throbbing inside him. His heart hurt from betrayal. He took a ragged breath and ran as long as he could. By the time he reached the town's center, Miki had labored breathing. The city was majestic; most of the buildings were made with yellow brick or shining silver cement. Signs were everywhere, advertising all sorts of small businesses. Miki took a few more steps and sat against the town’s fountain's one-foot-high stonewall. In side of the wall, there were golden, metallic spouts that intertwined with each other, circulating the water. Aside from the pipes, half a dozen orange, medium-sized fish swam around. When Miki caught his breath, he stood up and took a moment to take in the fountain's ever-lasting serenity. He gave a deep sigh. Despite everything, he couldn't overcome his depression. Why would he do that? he thought again. He took a deep breath and walked forward. The crowd in the city wasn't too much or too little. The amount of people made it feel like a peaceful world to Miki. After what Michael had done, he didn't want to be alone. As he walked past a bakery, the sweet fresh smell bread and sweets swept over him. He inhaled the scent, holding it as he passed. He turned at the next corner and slowly exhaled. The street he had turned onto was empty and hollow. There were a few stands selling fruits, nuts, and other snacks. . He took his bag from around his shoulder and dug around in one of the outer pockets. He pulled out some coins and picked out a rolled tortilla that was filled with sliced strawberries. As he handed the merchant his coins, Miki spotted two people from the corner of his eye. Miki turned his head quickly, confirming his thoughts. Michael and Anthony had followed him. "Thank you" he said hurriedly to the merchant. He threw his bag strap back over his shoulder and ran away from the pair. As Miki zigzagged through the many buildings, he was beginning to feel dizzy. He took a quick look behind him, making sure he was being followed again. In that quick second of absent sight, he bumped into a boy, about the same age as him. The impact surprised Miki; he lost his balance and began to fall backwards. The young man acted quickly, putting his arm around Miki. The fall was broken, but Miki had dropped the tortilla. Some of the strawberries spilled out. The young man helped him to his feet and apologized. "I'm sorry," the stranger said. His voice was light with a slight mature-ness to it. Miki blushed. This person standing right in front of him had the kindest smile. His hair was dyed white with scattered red streaks. He wore tight blue jeans, a blue jacket and a black shirt, which he wore tucked in. He also had a pair of small, silver-framed glasses. Remembering why he had ran, Miki looked behind him and saw that they had nearly caught up with him. "Excuse me" Miki said. He rushed past the stranger. Before he was out of reach, the young man grabbed Miki's hand, stopping him. "You're in a hurry." he looked towards Michael. "To get away from him? Come back to my place." Miki looked into his eyes. They were like blue metal. Cold, impenetrable steel blue. He blinked out of his enchantment and continued struggling out of the grip he was in. "please, let go!" he said. The stranger looked back at Michael. "You better come with me quickly or I'll have to hand you over to the bad man." He looked back at the still struggling Miki. He gave a swift tug, pulling him into an embrace. "I'm not letting go of you unless it's in my house or handing you over to him. So, which is it?" Miki stopped struggling. "Good boy. The name's Roy, by the way. I'm not giving you to him, but if you try to run away, you might just lose an Arm." he let Miki go, keeping hold of his hand. Miki gave one last look at Michael and Anthony then to Roy. "Thanks" he said. Roy then led him into a vast crowd. The crowd, once in it, wasn't really that thick. There were a lot of people, but they were spaced out which made it easier for the two boys to pass. Roy led Miki down the street with a smile. Miki, worrying about Michael, looked back. No one was following. He closed his eyes, feeling a bit more freedom. Miki stumbled, slowing them down. Roy looked back at him. Miki blushed slightly. "I'm sorry," he said. Quickly, they regained their speed and turned a corner, exiting the town. "This is the business district." Roy stated. There were a lot of cars parked on either side of the street. Few were being driven. People crowded the sidewalks going in and out of various buildings. Miki was amazed at such a place. He'd never really been past the shopping district. Roy started walking again, leading him to one of the taller buildings in the city. "This is where my apartment is," he said, opening the door for Miki. The inside looked like a royal house rather than an apartment complex. He took a few steps inside, followed by Roy who instructed him toward the elevator. When it stopped, they were on the 25th floor. "I hope you're not afraid of heights" Roy said with a smile, unlocked the door right across from the elevator. As he opened the door, the room was revealed to Miki. It seemed glorious in its simplicity. Almost everything was white; the furniture, carpet, even the walls. Everything else, such as counters, entertainment system, appliances, were black. On the farthest wall, there was an enormous window, which overlooked the entire city. Roy and Miki took off their shoes. Miki walked over and sat on the couch while Roy went into the kitchen. Miki put his knees to his chest, hugging them. "You like strawberries, right?" Roy asked. Miki looked over. Roy walked out of the kitchen with a bowl of sliced strawberries. "Oh wow, thank you!" Miki said with enthusiasm. He grabbed one and took a small bite. Roy grabbed one as well and sat next to him. "So…" he said, looking into Miki's eyes. He leaned in, kissing Miki's cheek. Miki pulled away quickly. "No!" he yelled. He put his hands out in front of him, trying to push Roy away. Roy smiled and sat back. "He tried to rape you, didn't he?" he said. Miki moved his eyes to the floor. "He didn't try…" Tears began making their appearance but he pushed them back. Roy felt his heart sink.. For a quick moment, he could hardly breath. "It wasn't him, directly." Miki said in Michael's defense. "His friend did it. But… Michael sold my body to him..." Miki closed his eyes tight, keeping the tears in. Roy went to hug him but Miki struggled, pushing him away. Roy grabbed his hands and pulled him into a gentle embrace. "It’s ok. You can trust me. I'll protect you from them." Miki was crying silently now. It was too much to hold back any longer. Roy let go of Miki's hands and ran his own down Miki's back. Roy lied down, resting his head on the couch's arm. He closed his eyes, still rubbing Miki's back. Miki rested his head on Roy's chest, trying to stop his crying. Before long, they were both asleep. In his sleep, Miki began to dream. He saw himself tied to a wall by his wrists. His bare body was covered in small cuts. A shadow loomed over him. His dream self struggled against the rope, blood trickling down his arms, tears down his face. The shadow got bigger as the person got closer. His mind's eye turned towards them. It was Anthony. Michael stood behind him. In his right hand, Anthony held a whip. He raised it in a striking pose. "Say it for me, little boy" he said in a snake-like tone. He lowered his hand quickly with a slight twitch of the wrist. The tip hit Miki's ankle, drawing more blood. “Forever yours” he whispered. Anthony continued with his barrage of attacks. “Forever yours” Miki repeated.
