Seeing as how Erae and Acia's birthdays are on the FIFTH, we have to have a birthday bash! OMG!! So, I'm demanding presents. xD
.... well, okay, not demanding but Moo, Acia, Erae and I would love them. biggrin So we're holding a birthday party! Come in and ARRRRR PEEEEEEEEEEE!

~~BIRTHDAY BASH~~
"Happy Birthday, Erae!" Murmured Kanth, whom had come to the Velvet shop, boxed cake in one arm and Erae in the other, pleased that it was an important day indeed.
Unfortunately, it seemed that no one was at the Velvet Shop - had they forgotten Erae's birthday? Kanth sincerely hoped that that wasn't the case; Iris was usually good about this sort of thing... wasn't she?
The cake lay on the table, half out of the box, with candles unlit stuck in the middle of the cake. It was an odd number, though Kanth hadn't bothered to count; the point was for Erae to blow out candles.
"I could have sworn I gave everyone an invitation..." She murmured to herself, glancing at the door.

Tripping over his shoe laces, Adrian flailed his arms a bit, trying to keep his balance instead of faceplanting on the sidewalk. Mackenzie and the six large balloons that had been tied around her tail shook as her guardian finally managed to right himself. "That was close," he said aloud, leaning down to fix his laces.
He stood again, adjusting Mackenzie so that she was in the crook of his elbow. He reached for his pocket, making sure that the cards and other small gifts were still there.
Once all seemed to be in order, Adrian took off again, heading for the Velvet Toyshop. He finally made it to the door in one piece and went inside, eyes slowly adjusting to the light. "Allo~" he called out, pulling the balloons in after him before they could get caught in the door.

Standing up, Kanth smiled. "Thanks for coming! Wow, that's a lot of balloons..."
Erae nearly fell off the chair when he squealed in glee, reaching for the balloons. Is this what it meant when it was his birthday, to get boundless gifts?!
He most certainly liked it!

Adrian finally made it through the door without anything popping or Mackenzie falling to the floor. "Heya," he said to both Kanth and Erae. "Hang on, birthday boy, let me untie these balloons, first." He made his way to an empty chair and sat down to untie the ballon strings from around Mackenzie's tail.
"Anyone else here yet?" He asked distractedly, struggling with a knot. "The birthday girl?"

Swinging closed only moments before, the door didn't get much of a rest as it was pushed open once again. This time to allow D and Sidney to enter. D grinned as she looked about at the people who had shown up so far. So many that she hadn't seen in ages! Kanth and Erae obviously, and Yume and Trea. Oh and another guy she vaguely remembered, and he was holding a little shark?
"Happy Birthday! Hey ya everyone!" She called. "Where's the birthday boy and girl? I hope we're not late."
"Yess, it wass the buss'ss fault." Sidney piped up as he slithered and climbed down D's arm and leg to reach the floor. But he didn't stay there for too long, what with there being a few people already inside. He didn't want to get stepped on!
Slithering over to the desk, he promptly climbed up the leg and then the handles to reach the top, then scanned around for other velvets. Yup, he could see Erae! And gave him a wave. There was also the scent of Trea around, where was she.... oh yes, with her 'mother'. And then there was a new but distinctly 'velvet' taste to the air too.

((D'awwwwwwwwwww, so cuuuuute! <333333 Thankies so much, everyone T___T And sorry I wasn't here xD;; I'm swamped this week...and leaving for a trip Saturday. Can make a quick appearance, but I'll have to drop out Friday evening if the party's still going then <3))
Only moments after the door closed behind D and Sidney, it swung open once more and Moo stepped inside, holding it open for Acia, who darted in behind her. Letting it fall closed, Moo shot a quick wave around the room, flashing a grin and heading over to the counter, where she set a gift-wrapped package. "Sorry we're late, the car decided not to work... Happy Birthday, Erae! And hello to everyone else!"
Immediately upon entering, Acia had darted straight for the ceiling fan, where she alighted to look around the room. A few people, a plushie she hadn't met, a mouse she faintly remembered....and Sid and Erae!! The glider promptly jumped off the fan and dove for the chair, catching herself with a gust as she neared the floor and practically tackling the skunk boy in a hug. "Happy Birthday Erae!! It's so good to see you! And hello Sid!" she shouted over to the counter, turning and waving him a greeting. "Thanks so much for coming!"
((And now I vanish again .____. Shall be back later, yes? ,3 I'll post in our RP when I get back, D n_n <3 And I should have a couple of log entries in this evening, too.))

Despite the party already having started, and despite his invitation, Shard paused to knock on the door before entering. If he had a present, it wasn't immediately visible, but that was no sure sign.
Arden stood perched on Shard's shoulder, peering about. His present, it seemed, was a little bit small, but it tidily wrapped in a green box, and secured with a dark green foil ribbon.
"Kupo?" Arden strained to see if he could see anyone coming. He glanced at Shard. "Kupo kupo?"
"Yes, Arden, I'm sure someone will come let us in. It might not be necessary, but it's at least polite. Alright?" Arden huffed a little sigh, but consented to wait.
He's grown... I wonder how much Erae's grown, in just one year?
