~ Continuation from the Main Thread, page 2,806 ~
Aikou pushed open a book that had a buldge in it. The 'supposed' book mark was a sharp hand knife that should 'found' in a locked box back at home. She just couldn't take it anymore. She put the knofe to her thoat and pushed down a little, tears rimming her eyes.

Ty Jr. was wandering around for the first time in a while. There had been some.. matters to deal with back at the Post which had kept him occupied for many weeks. He had discovered that Deyna was actually related to him in some way, though he wasn't sure where her markings had come from.. He also had had to explain why the only cat that stayed there mysteriously never came back. He blinked sleepily as he traveled the hallways of the shop. The familiarity of them came rushing back as he recognized corners and doorways, bookshelves and pictures. Excited with nostalgia, he began to run. One direction for a while, then he'd go another way. As he was running, he saw a red blur. Freezing in place, the fox realized he had lost his breath, but not because of the running. Remembering the fox he had met with so many times before, he wondered if it was his imagination.
"Aikou?" he called, stepping closer. "Is that you?"
It had been so long.. Would she even remember him? He felt much older now, though it hadn't been nearly as long as it felt. The fox hadn't had a choice when the head of the household.. left. Continuing his movement forward, he saw a reflection of light.. Like metal. This creature had a knife! Not only that, but it was moving it towards itself.
"Aikou?!" he ran forward, his eyes burning. 'No,' he thought to himself. 'Not now.' Jr. grabbed the paw with the blade and tried to force it away before checking if it was truly her.

Aikou heard the voice of someone she knew. 'So Familiar...' There was now a small cut on her neck, but not enough to kill her.
Something was pushing against her paw, so she let go of the knife, letting it clatter to the floor. Her body shook with a sob.
She looked a Jr, not sure of anything anymore. She wasn't sure it was him, but she now knew Ty was dead, and he wasn't coming back. The only explination was that Jr. was before her, and not Ty.

Jr. growled slightly and kicked the knife, sending it spinning in the opposite direction. Only then did he look up and see that it was indeed Aikou.
"What're you doing?!" he asked, forcing her to look at him. "..Why?"
This wasn't how his first trip back was supposed to be.. This wasn't how anything was supposed to be. He cursed silently and stomped one paw on the ground.

Aikou chocked out something resembling 'I'm Sorry,' though a shaken sob. She didn't mean for anymore to see. A little bit of blood dripped onto the floor, and she rubbed her neck. What would have happened if she had succeded?

"But why?" he asked, his voice holding a note of frustration. "I know I haven't been here in a long time, and I'm sorry for that.. But I was busy.. I had to explain to everyone about Ty, and I.." He swallowed hard. She was trying to kill herself, and he was making excuses. Jr. watched as she touched her neck. "Let me see," he said, moving closer.

Aikou wouldn't force him away. She was tired of forcing everyone away. She lifted her chin up, so he could get a better look. Was depression really the best reason she had to try and kill herself? It wasn't...

He lifted a paw to move some of the fur out of the way so he could see the injury. Luckily it didn't seem too bad. He sighed and spoke again. "You should get a bandage for that.." he suggested.
Since she didn't seem to want to talk much, he pulled her closer, being careful to avoid her cut. He hugged her gently and remained silent. What would have happened if he hadn't come today..

"I'm sorry..." she murmured again. In a way, she was grateful he came and stopped her. She wasn't really ready to die, was she?
She snuggled up to him lightly before whispering another apology.

"Why didn't you come find me? We could've talked about it," he said. "It didn't have to.. You didn't have to.." the fox fumbled for the right words. How could he express himself? There was no way for him to tell her that the shop wouldn't seem right if she was gone.

"I-I don't know..." Aikou admitted. She didn't know why she didn't tell anyone. She honostly didn't anymore, and she regretted it.

Jr. frowned slighty. "Will you promise me that this won't happen again?" he asked. "I need to know that I won't lose you." His voice was solemn and quiet. He didn't think he could bear explaining another death to anyone, nevermind dealing with it himself.

"I'm glad," he said, smiling slightly. "If you don't want to talk further, then we won't," he continued. "No one will know if that's what you wish."

"What do I do now....?" she asked, not taking any note to Jr's any other words. He crying had calmed to a silent sniffle now.
