- Protocol - Rules and Guidelines Quote: 1. No harassing will take place in this journal. If you have an issue with myself or another individual, take it to PMs. 2. Do not ask for my Aerandir or any offspring that he/she may produce... this should probably be an unwritten rule, but I'll put it down just in case. 3. Please do not post without my permission. Those who are omitted from this rule are any Aerandir owners and/or close friends. If you are included in neither of the aforementioned groups, drop me a PM before posting. 4. This is a roleplaying area only which means you are required to post in-character. If you accidentally slip up, I will kindly ask you to alter your post. Also, chatspeech is evil and makes my brain fizzle, so please don't use it. 5. I reserve the right to change these guidelines/rules at any point in time, but I promise to be fair about it.

- Natural Habitat - Home On the outskirts of the civilized sector, the house sits nearest to the forest and is therefore able to reap the benefits of the rich, planter-perfect soil. A tiny, wild garden of flowers has settled up against the rear of the building, tenacious red velvet and bolero white roses beginning to sneak with slow grace along the wooden planks and bobbing with whisper-soft taps against the windows. The front yard is a little more contained; the grass well-manicured but lush and carpet soft for any who dare to lie down under Nathaniel’s watchful eye.
The patio is large and spans out in front of the house, an elegant outdoor table with matching, wrought iron chairs spray painted the color of deep jade take up a mere corner of it. The other end contains a porch swing firmly attached to the awning by two thick, metal chain links made to look less severe with the same painted color as the remainder of the furniture; the seat itself is made out of hefty wood with green-brown cushions for added comfort.
A square of the roofing has been chiseled away and replaced by heavy laminate-tempered glass to allow a generous amount of sunlight free reign of the living area as a way to conserve energy in the day lit hours. Cleverly arranged, heavy-duty blinds on the outside of the house can be pulled from indoors to block out the window if it is found necessary for one reason or another.
The den itself is spacious and comfortable, the flooring cherry-colored hardwood with the occasional faux-fur throw rug dispersed both near the hearth and center of the room to imitate comfort. There is very little in the way of furnishings, in the typical Spartan image of any old soldier. The couch with seating enough for three or four is accompanied by a rocking chair and a large shelf filled with odds and ends that appear to belong nowhere else. A table with an odd number of chairs rests nearest to - but just outside of - the kitchen, which converges abruptly with the living room but stops the constant, wooden boards of the floor and changes it instead to grey-colored tile. An oven and a burner top as well as a refrigerator combine to take up a great amount of the space, but there is counter room enough for a toaster, a cast-iron sink, and some small cabinets as well. Most of the non-perishable food is left in the pantry, which is a tiny room cut off from the rest of the kitchen by a door nearest to the fridge.
A single room is available on the bottom floor, and it is reserved by Nathaniel, who abhors stairs of nearly any height due to his bad leg. As such, he has claimed the tiny room, and decorates it only with a bed with a firm mattress, a bureau, and a wall that displays both badges and old military weapons that have been disabled and mounted for child-safety purposes.
The bathroom takes up the last available bit of space on the first floor, and is as simply arranged as the bedroom it connects to. With only a standing shower and a tiny sink, it is the least frequently visited section of the house.
The upper level is reserved mainly for private rooms and can be reached by a narrow case of somewhat creaky stairs. Although smaller than the bottom floor as it only is allotted the area above the kitchen and restroom, it is still divided up into three distinct areas, separated by a claustrophobia-inducing hallway. The rooms themselves vary in size; the smaller nearly as sparsely decorated as Nathaniel’s living space, but does not yet appear to have an occupant. The next room is larger and tailored specifically for guests with its floral patterned bed sheets, powder-blue carpeting, and soothing paintings of neutral colored landscapes.
Adjoined to both rooms is yet another bathing room, this one substantially more relaxed and friendly in appearance. An old-fashioned bathtub with beastly feet holding up a large porcelain basin sits contentedly near a small window that lies close to the ceiling. The toilet is made to match, though without the clawed appendages, and the sink is a dark marble that has a tendency to crack if not attended to often. Although the floor is hardwood, a plush rug has been instituted to cover a great deal of the space.

- Melding Spirits - Leopard and Shrike Type: Carnivorous Mammal
Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Family: Felidae Genus: Uncia Species: U. uncia
Weight: Males 50-70 kilograms/female 35-40 kg Length: 4-5 feet - close to 6.5/7 feet including tail
Brief explanation: Protected by the thick fur of their uniquely rosette dappled, silvery coat, these large cats prefer to lead a solitary life. Their lengthy tails are used both as a limb for balancing as well as method for conserving warmth in cold weather by coiling the extremity around their muzzle to heat their mouth and sensitive nose. Opportunistic eaters, they will both kill and scavenge to suit their needs and the needs of their cubs. Known for their extreme agility, they are well at home in the mountainous terrain they tend to inhabit. Type: Carnivorous oviparous vertebrate
Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Aves Order: Passeriformes Family: Laniidae
Weight: 78 grams Size: 20-22 centimeters
Brief explanation: Displaying the hooked beak of a predatory bird, the shrike has a unique method of capturing and dissecting prey which involves impaling the bodies of insects (as well as small birds and mammals) on thorns. They come in a variety of colors and types, including the Tiger Shrike, the Lesser Grey Shrike, and the Crimsonbreasted Shrike.
