Problems with Other Players
If you are having a problem with another player, whether you hate their grammar or feel they are godmoding, message an admin! DO NOT post long OOC posts about how bad their grammar is, what you dislike about their posts... whatever. If it's something small and you can be NICE about it, message them. If it's a bigger problem, MESSAGE THE ADMIN!
~Spelling/Grammar
I know not everyone is the best at spelling, and everyone makes a few errors. But when it gets really bad... that's just not acceptable. Everyone has a spell checker and grammar checker available on their word processor. If you can get to this site, you can get to a spell checker. What's really sad is that there are users on this site for whom English is not their first language, and yet they post in better English than some of the native English speakers...
~Powerplaying/Godmoding
*With other players:
Ok, so there are a bit less harsh rules about that on this site, mainly because most of the characters are powerful supernatural beings. However, a few ground rules. Everyone can die in some way. Also, no one has actual power over anyone else.
*With OCs:
Killing OCs just for fun is just not a good idea. It shows that you can't interact wih other roleplayers, only your own set plot. In addition, there are consequences for murder. Think a little, people.
~Pack Acceptance
All lycanthropes need to roleplay their search for acceptance. They need to post some kind of search for the Ulfric, or just wander around the city. You can't just show up at the Castle, or else you will be pounced upon and killed. The exception to this rule is if your character has lived in San Diego all their lives. Obviously, if you've been here that long, and been a supernatural for a while, it's realistic to assume you've run into the pack before. As for humans... there's no magic that keeps them all out of the packlands, but pack law is fairly strict: keep humans out. Guests of the pack are welcome, but make sure you clear it with the Ulfric first.
~Humans and Supernaturals
Some players decide that they want to flaunt their character's fangs, fur, and whatever else they have in front of a bunch of human NPCs. For vamps, that's fine. You don't really have a choice in the matter anyway, since you have fangs 24/7. For lycanthropes, though... it's a bit more complicated. See, it IS physically possible for you to show off. However, it is against pack law, and keep one thing in mind: a lot of humans consider lycanthropes monsters. They won't flee in terror, they'll just call the cops, or open fire if they're armed. The idea is that lycanthropes keep a low profile.
Also, refer back to the godmoding rules: no creating random OCs just for deaths and such!
~Multiple Characters
We have a few people with multiple characters on the site, so here's the deal. Usually, the Ulfric will accept two or maybe even three characters on one apply, if you have a good reason. If you prove to be inactive, though... You go bye bye.
~NPC Characters
Occasionally, it is necessary for a player to post something that people around them are doing, just for background. This is fine, but only on occasion. When every post has to involve NPCs, there's a problem.
