The small calico-coated femme sniffed the ground delicately as she began to search for a few rats or small rodents to feast on. It had been only a few days since she had wandered away from her packlands and she already felt lonely. She lifted her head up quickly as she heard a loud noise from far away. Twitching an ear, she dicided to ignore the sound as she continued on looking for something to eat.

A small giggle floated through the air. "Hungry?" A sweet, flute-like voice asked. A wolf stepped out nearby. Her jaws were tightly clenched around what looked to be a rabbit. The brown wolf trotted foward and smiled at the young pup. She was so pretty and had such amazing markings. It was really a wonder to the young female how she hadn't been spoted with all that white on her. Maybe she ran from home?

The pup canted her head to one side and lifted her head up as she heard the voice rise up nearby. She glanced at the other femme curiously, noting that the other wolf was an adult. She was expecting other pups to be nearby, but she had saw no other on her littler trek far from her packlands. She glanced down at the rabbit in the jaws of the adult wolf and she pricked her ears up high, nodding her head. "Starving!" she said happily, bounding over to the adult. Not caring about her manners, she began to paw at the adult's foreleg to get some of the rabbit from her.

Dance let out another soft giggle and lowered the rabbit to the ground. So egar, she hoped she hadn't been abandoned out here. "Go right ahead." The older female nodded with a smile. "Are you alone...?" She questioned trying not to phrase it in a way that would upset the young one.

She jumped slightly when the older wolf put the rabbit down. Quickly, she buried her maw into the flesh of the food that she had just been given and began to show down. She pricked her ears up at the sound of the femme's voice. Slowly, she raised her head up and looked at Dance curiously. "I wasn't alone at first, but now I am," she told the older femme in an innocent voice.

The female frowned and glanced up, surveying the area. "Where is your family? Or your pack?" She asked quietly. The wolfess lowered her head and ran her nose through the young pup's fur. The poor creature, left alone to fend for herself. So young and so hungry. The innocence reminded her so much of the black shadow that haunted her mind. Dance gave a rough shake of her head. "What is your name, little one?"

She scarfed down on the rest of the rabbit quickly before turning her attention on the other wolf in front of her. She canted her head to one side and sat down on her haunches. "Family? I don't remember my mother or my father. as for my pack, it is the Blitz pack. I wandered a little too far away from there, but I think I remember where it is," she said to Dance in a chipper voice. She lifted a paw up and began to clean the blood off of it delicately. "My name? It is Arisella. What's yours?" she asked her, thumping her tail on the ground.

"Dance." She replied with a solemn smile. "If you remember, how about I lead you there? I don't want you lost." The kind wolf replied standing and stretching her forelegs. The collar around her neck gleamed in the sunlight. She was glad this pup wouldn't feel the pain of loosing someone so important to her. It was really heartbreaking... again that shadow made itself known. His piercing yellow eyes, burned into her memory as a constant reminder. She shook off and bounded forward. "Come on little one. Show me the way!"

Aris nodded her head slightly and stood up slowly, not caring about the blood on her maw. "Alright!" she bounded forward in the direction she had came from, her tail and head held up high. She glanced back at the other wolf to see if she was coming before picking up her pace slightly. She didn't want the Alphas in her pack to get too worried about her.

Dance let out a small bark and joined after the pup. The playful girl was a welcome relief from the loneliness of the lands. She made sure to keep pace with Aris. Perhaps her pack would be the one that would accept her. She wouldn't mind being around this pup more. After all, misery loves company. She too held her tail and head to the sky. Silently thanking her lucky star that she'd found someone to ease her pains.

Aris glanced back at the older wolf following her and she smiled sweetly. "So, how did you become an adult?" she asked Dance curiously. She never saw any other pups around, just the adults. Flicking a tail slightly, she picked her pace up slightly to a quick walk, hoping it wouldn't mind the older femme.

Pain washed through the older wolf. Another kick. She would be having her puppies soon. Very soon... another haunting reminder of the dark raven that stalked her very existence. "How did I become an adult? Well... I suppose I just grew into it. You will too one day." She replied soothingly. A wince. "How far is your pack? I'm afraid I must return to mine soon. I'm from the Lowlands." She didn't realize the packs were enemies.

Arid flicked an ear slightly and pointed to the mountain. "It's over there, I think, but if you must leave due to unavoidable conflict, I understand. The pack alpha informed me to never talk to a Lowlander, but I don't understand why the two packs are enemies." She stopped in her tracks and sat down on her haunches. "I heard of a pack that has to enemies. Is that true?" she asked the older wolf curiously.

"No I can't say I have heard of them. I know only of our two waring packs." Her ears pinned against her head. Why were they enemies? She nuzzled the younger wolf and smiled warmly. "Yes, I should be getting home. They will smell the other pack on me and I'd rather you not get into trouble. Howl anytime you need me. Despite the differences in our packs, I'm happy to have met you."

Aris nodded her head slightly and smiled when Dance nuzzled her. "Don't worry. I will," she said to the other femme before standing up slowly. She bounded a few feet away from Dance before turning back around slightly, stood there for a few seconds wagging her tail, and then she turned back around and started heading towards her packlands.
