Watcher's POV

Crying, oh how I hate the sound of crying. Being one who can detect and absorb the emotions of others so easily, the sadness of someone else quickly becomes my own and I am often left alone to pick up the pieces of my heart after the sadness has passed.

Yet there I stood as I looked over this poor creature, whimpering pitifully with watery eyes refusing to look at me, often hiding his face under his cap. The poor thing had been left alone for sometime by the one who was at first destined to show him his life’s path. Even though he was just a babe he seemed to know he was alone, and refused to admit to my presence in fear that I would be like the one before, the abandoner.

Sighing I looked around, trying to find something, someway that I could show him that I wasn’t like the one before, that I was a kinder one, one that would keep in stride with his path and aide him in his steps to become great in what he does. He had that kind of spirit inside him, I could tell the moment I laid eyes on him. There was an odd ball of red and white a little ways away from where he lay. Knowing I myself couldn’t bring the object, of what I presumed to be a toy, over to him I walked over to him and smiled.

“I think your ball is over there…” I said softly as not to scare him. His whimpering stopped and his hat was removed from his face. Blinking his eyes, he tilted his head slightly.

“Baw?” I couldn’t help but giggle slightly at his attempt to speak. It was much too adorable. Nodding, I pointed to where it lay.

“Yes. It’s over there…red and white with a circle in the middle.” He blinked at me again then looked to where I pointed and at once he picked it out. Rolling over on all fours he crawled over and clutched the ball in his hands with a bright smile.

“Pika!” he cried with glee and hugged the ball tightly against his chest. Looking at me he smiled and giggled slightly as young ones often do. “Friend!” Smiling back I nodded.

“Yes little one, yes I am”

((Sorry for lack of me...I've been busy...I'll post something soon though))

[+Smiles+]

So now I have a little furry fellow by the name of Ash to keep my eye on...and I must say...he's a real handful. The poor thing had been alone for so long that all his energy must have been bundled up for so long, and now that I have watch over him he just seems to bound everywhere with his little pokeball.

It's his smile that get's me. His 'I can do anything' sort of smile. A smile of confidence and a smile of victory. Yes, his smile says all of those things to me, and more. In such ways I cannot explain. So for him, I keep on smiling.

For him I stay happy.
