Many probably know, and if they don't they should, that Dream Theater's most recent studio release, Octavarium, is "one big nugget." The theme surrounding the album, as well as the different references, add to the mystery of the album. Me and some of the others on the official Dream Theater forum are getting sorta tired of all the nuggets, but maybe some of you might benefit. The site i posted the link to is a COMPLETE analysis of Octavarium, and some will be surprised just how deep it really goes.

I'm doing my senior project at school about the octave, and part of my work is going to involve a complete analysis of Octavarium. biggrin

Well, considering just how deeply involved the album is, and how centered around the octave it is, it falls into place really well 3nodding

Well, i'm obviously going to have to write a paper, so i'll post that up on the guild (if that's okay, of course smile ), and I'll also get a copy of my PowerPoint Presentation for any who are interested. I'm going to request to get it videotaped , and I'll figure out how to upload it on this computer, then if any are interested, I can attempt to send it to them. It's not until next semester, but I plan on making all my preparations now 3nodding
