THE STORY

The Fiend (Fiends include all types of monsters, creatures, beasts, and demons) population is out of control on the planet Orrb. Additionally the spirits of dead fiends continue to roam the world of the living. On top of that there are few people trained in the arts of spirit-capturing.

In the past Hunters and Guardians would protect their Home towms, cities, and villages from the ravages of the fiends. However in the recent wars between the five major world powers, three on the Eastern continent and two on the Western, many Hunters and Guardians were lost in the fighting, there are now far fewer left to fend off the fiends.

The new Nation of Duality formed from the nearly defeated neighboring nations of Anaria and Camica. The two nations were on the brink of destruction in the five way free-for-all war untill they signed a treaty uniting under a single banner. Through their combined forces they were able to push the competing armies back to their own continent. Shortly thereafter the war was ended though Anaria and Camica bacame the Nation of Duality permanently. The remaining nations of Calivert, Donaliag, and Taolizohrn are left in poverty after none of them were able to claim a victory.

On the Eastern continent the Northern Nation of Calivert, a nation that is continually becoming poorer due to the ravages of the aforementioned fiends and spirits, has finally managed to arrange an organization of Hunter-Guardians willing to accept payment in exchange for roaming the nation and eradicating fiends and spirits alike. There are now a total of a dozen squads of three Hunter-Guardians, and very soon the next squad will emerge from their training and join the others in roaming the countryside and doing what they can to save what is left of their nation.

Imperium Trilogy Members / Character Profiles

Please PM all character profiles to me, Hanyouman.

Since their are going to be teams I would like it if you submitted what team you are on somewhere in your characters profile. (Team 13 is full)

I should also say that I would prefer if the characters were mere Humans or at least Half Human. I will allow a few non Humans but not many.

I also have three premade characters if anyone is feeling so lazy that they do not wish to create their own character...

Shiv Nagasada
Roleplay: Imperium Trilogy
Name: Shiv (Sheev) Nagasada (Nagasayda)
Age: 19 leaning on 20
Gender: Male
Birth Date: exact date is unknown
Sexual Preference: straight
Race: Human with a slight mix of shadow demon blood

Appearance:
-Eye Colour: intense gray
-Hair Colour: black
-Hair Style: short crew cut
-Height: 5’7-5’8
-Weight: (oh for the love of…however heavy he has to be…I don’t know weight to height ratios!)
-Other Features: A hawk-like nose and a light scar upon his forehead.
-Clothes: A simple black shirt that allows free movement and pants of the same kind, all covered by a black cloak
-Shoes: worn sandles that are minorly enchanted to having an improved grip on walls.
-Gloves: Two black fingerless gloves with better grip for his daggers on both hands
-Other: He has one belt under his cloak across his chest that holds five daggers, two are sheathed on the outside of his right and left leg. Two are in a spring trap inside his sleeves, and one hangs on a mythril chain upon his neck.

Social Standing: Assassin of some renown

Occupation: Hunter/Guardian Team 13

Hobbies: Killing, reconnaissance, meditation, honing his skills, and playing his pipes

Likes: Money, a good meal, the sense of a job well done, feeling that he is at the peak of his strength, and good music from his pipes

Dislikes: A target that surrounds himself with people constantly, talk about his past, feeling that his job is not complete, and feeling his life is worthless

Strengths: Assassination in all its aspects, especially combat, acrobatics, stealth, and spying tactics, and playing magical songs upon his set of pipes

Weaknesses: Unable to open up, desensitizing toward death, removed from society, unable to cooperate well with others, and vivid, paralyzing night terrors.

Personality: Cold and efficient, he is a man of few words and much action. He likes to fight but talking leaves him withdrawn and sullen, having never developed the skills needed for true vocal communication. Mostly he is just a shell of a person…suppressing emotions deep inside in order to best use lethal force against an opponent. Inside however he is just a boy who never had much of a family. The only way to keep sane is to balance those inner and outer energies through music...his flute is a magical construct, stolen from a legendary bard long ago...its music is the only thing that truly calms him and can bring out his less-prone-to-kill side.

History/Background: It is unsure where shadow demon blood got incorporated into his family line, but a well known fact is that he is from a line of assassins. His father, father’s father, and his father’s father’s father were assassins. They belonged to a special organization known as the Unseen Hand and his family line was renowned for the assassins they produced. Unfortunately when the Nation of Duality formed, most assassination work became hard to find. Thus Shiv went about killing for small pay and to keep his skills up. A quiet yet determined man, Shiv will go to all lengths to receive what he wants. He has no more family as he lost them to the jaws of beasts, but he harbors no feeling of revenge. He has been desensitized to death and now thinks little of it. Such thinking could make one assume he was callous, but underneath his ‘tough, quiet, assassin’ act there is still a boy who lost his family and really has nothing else to live for other then the dance of death he weaves around his enemies. His strengths are without a doubt is efficiency and offhand attitude toward killing.

*Misc: : Shiv is an assassin and a very powerful one. He has never missed his mark nor left any target alive, his natural physical abilities, sharp eyesight, and patience can account for that. Having a demon’s blood within him allows him better masking within shadows. He draws strength from the darkness to boost his prowess and if he is concealing himself he is nigh undetectable in the darkness

Weapon of Choice: Shiv has twenty daggers hidden on his person. The vast majority (15) are no more then well forged daggers and only five hold any abilities beyond that. His first and favorite special dagger, Nosferatu is a dark weapon and without a doubt his most powerful. Longer then the other daggers, to the point where calling it a dagger is almost ludicrous, the silver blade wrought with red gemstones and a curving hilt is a strange weapon to look upon. It has the ability if Shiv so desires, to drain an opponent’s life force into his own…healing wounds and strengthening him. His second special dagger is a ceremonial black dagger that has no name. It is the last remnant he has to the guild that disbanded long ago. It was passed down through his family and if it did have any special powers…they have remained dormant. The third, fourth, and fifth blade are known as Chill, Burn, and Shock and have their own respective base element chiseled into their construction. He carries a rapier as well but apart from it being well made, it holds no special abilities.

Misc items- All items needed for assassination including grappling hooks, lengths of rope, lockpick kits, other simple tools, poison, and his set of pipes. The pipes themselves are a legneday item known as the Pipes of the Gentle River and endow their possessor with the ability to awaken feelings or subconciously suggest things to those he is playing to. He is unaware that the set of pipes have any power...and he unconciously uses the magic on himself to balance the boy and the killer within his soul and retain his precarious grasp on sanity.

Weaknesses: Far too polite, even to his foes.

Personality: Somewhat mysterious, friendly, mature, very wise and intelligent, but can become very serious, vicious, and violent in the heat of battle. He is a good listener.

History/Background: Modified at birth by Axis, a scientific military group (the same one that worked to modify Kiro). Zekai's mother and father were both scientists that worked for Axis. When Zekai was undergoing his modification development stages, which were supervised by his mother and father, the Axis CEO Alvis Axis gave them specific orders as to what kind of modifications could be made to Zekai. Alvis ordered for Zekai to be built with war weapons, to be equipped with advanced blades and axes that were part of his body. Alvis had envisioned the perfect modified being; a boy made of steel and weaponry, a boy whose arms were swords, and his body was natural armor. The mother and father obeyed the orders, and worked to perfect Zekai. They worked for seven straight years to mold Zekai into the perfect military weapon. It was at this point that Alvis, satisfied with the work, announced that Zekai would be used under the military's forces as the grand weapon.

This began to upset the mother and father of Zekai; they began to fear that their precious son would be turned into some sort of mutant. Their parent instincts kicked in, and they suddenly no longer wanted Zekai to be used as a toy for the military. They wanted a better future for their only son. So they came up with a solution. First, they decided to have the blades and weapons removed from Zekai's body. These operations left scars on Zekai's body, marking where the weapons used to be attached. He no longer resembled a mutant, and they were quite satisfied. So the final modifications were complete; Zekai became a boy blessed with the magnetic blades to suit his abilities.

The mother and father worked for a year to finish. However, the entire extra operation was kept secret from Alvis, who would surely be indignant to find out the military blade attachments had been removed. So the two decided to help their son escape without Axis knowing of plan. They parted ways with their son, praying for him to find a better future in the outer lands. They returned to Axis, acting oblivious to the entire situation, insisting that Zekai had miraculously disappeared. Distraught, Alvis decided they needed another specimen to replace the mysteriously absent Zekai. It was difficult to try and recreate the perfection, but they pursued the dream nonetheless. It was then that the operation on Kiro began.

Since then, Zekai travelled town to town, exploring even as a young boy, always eager to meet new people. His swordsmanship was admired everywhere he went, and he was quite well known as the "young hero", for he worked to protect the towns he came across, always holding strong pride for his nation. For fifteen years Zekai grew up wandering the lands, always meeting new people and facing new struggles. Now, a twenty-three old grown man, he has come across the town housing the Calivert Hunter Guardian Corps. Eager to enlist himself under the Corps' regiment, he continues to pursue justice.

*Misc: Zekai's battle performance is quite powerful, for he is blessed with great speed with his blades. His running speed, however, is only average. Zekai is also said to be very powerful, strength-wise, though he uses his power in moderation.

Zekai also possesses a useful magic skill known as Menos, with which he uses to give his enemies a negative magnetic charge. The spell is activated by holding up his palms outward towards the opponent then shouting "Menos!" while his eyes are closed. It requires heavy concentration. The effects of the spell last for an hour. If Zekai misses the enemy with the spell, the failure results in a loss of energy in Zekai.

Weapon of Choice: He uses two swords, each one charged with a magnetic property. The Minus Blade has a negative charge, and is designed to repel enemy attacks, that is, if it is of metal. Zekai uses this blade in his right hand. The Plus Blade, serving as the positively charged sword, is used for offense. He manuevers this sword with his left hand.

Blank

Roleplay: Imperium Trillogy
Name: Blank
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Birth Date: Forgotten/ not celebrated
Sexual Preference: Straight
Race: Human

Appearance: Blank's slender frame belies an efficient strength and quickness inherited through lifelong practice and discipline. She holds her body erect, but with an odd tension, akin to that of a poised snake, or, perhaps a hyper-paranoiac. Her pale skin creates a contrasting pallet for a pair of dark eyes, too often narrowed in unconscious scrutiny.
-Eye Colour: Brown
-Hair Colour: Black
-Hair Style: Long and straight, often kept back in a tight ponytail for convenience.
-Height: 5'7
-Weight: 130lbs
-Other Features:
-Clothes: Most often found wearing simple, dark, tight fitting clothing. Her sleeves are kept long and full in order to disguise subtle movements and allow for the concealments of objects.
-Shoes: light, but tough, soft-bottomed boots which are often removed.
-Gloves: None
-Other:

Social Standing: Uncertain

Occupation: Works for a lord, or benefactor who has had a hand in her upbringing and training. Jobs vary.

Hobbies: None

Likes: Challenges, competence, strength, ability

Dislikes: Anything she perceives as a weakness, contradictions, indecisiveness

Strengths: Efficiency of motion, a relish for battle, selfcontrol

Weaknesses: A very flawed or incomplete understanding of self, problems relating to others, cruel nature

Personality: Sharp eyed and critical, Blank despises all that she judges to contain weakness. In herself, she believes emotions to be a flaw which only distract her from her goals. By attempting and succeeding at suppressing many of her own emotions, she has denied herself a clear understanding of any impulsive actions or reactions which are allowed to break through her mental walls. And, as a result of her upbringing and self -imposed mental blocks, Blank has developed a increadibally skewed sense of right and wrong.
Conversely, Blank admires ability and excellence in others.

History/Background: Brought into an academy for children with "special" abilities at a young age, Blank's life has been an almost constant montage of training and studies. Cut off from any outside ties (any existing family members were killed upon her entrance into the school), the girl's soul focus had been her training. The head of the academy began to show particular interest in Blanks continuously developing, but already considerably ability, and, at the age of 16, she entered his personal service. Since then, Blank has completed any tasks charged to her by her benefactor. Unfortunately, several of these have required her to do things that have only served to further misplace her inhabitions.

*Misc: Blank possesses the ability to, upon eye contact, render a man's mind to go completely blank for a matter of a few seconds. This power seems to be dynamic, continually growing and apt to evolve in nature.

Weapon of Choice: Long sword

Mumui Kirakon

Roleplay: Imperium Trilogy
Name: Mumei Kirakon
Age: Roughly 17-18
Gender: Male
Birth Date: Unknown
Sexual Preference: None
Race: Half-Fiend

Appearance: Tall, rangy and broad shouldered. Clean to the point of being immaculate.
-Eye Colour: Dark brown, red if the light hits it wrong.
-Hair Colour: Silver.
-Hair Style: Worn down to his shoulders, always kept clean, shining, and perfectly brushed.
-Height: 6'6
-Weight: 200 lbs
-Other Features: Multiple scars covered by clothing.
-Clothes: Wears loose-fitting silk clothing for ease of movement and durability. A white silk shirt, grey pants, and an inky black cloak.

-Gloves: Palms wrapped with dirty, ragged strips of orange silk.
-Other: Polished, undecorated steel bracelets, a sheathed katana which he carries at his back, and a meteor hammer wrapped around his upper body. A polished white mask, completely devoid of any detail besides two eyeholes. He almost never wears it, usually keeping it in a pocket sewn into the lining of his cloak.

Social Standing: Pariah.

Occupation: Currently awaiting assignment.

Hobbies: Reading, meditation, philosophy, art. Plays flute.

Likes: Peace, bettering himself, the ocean.

Dislikes: Having to kill humans, loud noises, rodents.

Strengths: Extremely intelligent and well learned. Has almost reached the state of true Zen.

Weaknesses: Never lies, and thus, has trouble perceiving it when others do so. Due to his blood and training, if finally pushed to the point of true anger, loses all control.

Personality: Usually quite calm, and seems quiet, but that is only because he does not speak unless he feels he has something important to say. Kind, loyal to the bone, but will not stand to be put down, pushed around, or discriminated against without reason.

History/Background: There was once a village, small, peaceful, idyllic, on the shores of a slow-moving river. The daughter of the mayor grew up from child to beautiful young woman bathing, playing, washing her clothes and drawing the most basic need of all living things from that river. As she neared the age of marriage, she began, as was the custom of the village, going apart from the other people to contemplate those who had made proposals to her, so better to choose whom to wed.

However, not long after she began going to the forest, a man appeared to her, silver of hair and crimson of eye, with a face so beautiful it nearly hurt the eyes. He told her he was the spirit of the river, and that he had watched her all her life. She fell in love with the River God, as she thought of him, and they were wed by his will that very night.

The next day as she returned to the village and told her father of her news, he was not happy for her as she had thought he would be. He, not blinded by beauty and kind words, knew that such a creature could only be a foul demon, and he paid for Hunters to come from all corners of the land. Using the girl as bait, they drew the River God out into the open, and set upon him, 20 to 1. However, as the monster fell into a rage, the guise of beautiful God fell away, revealing a monstrosity that sent half the forces immediately running. When the battle was concluded, only one Hunter remained to collect the bounty. The girl was horrified by the sights she had seen, moreso because she knew she had already quickened with the demon's child.

Two years passed, and the girl, despite attempts with herbs and less pleasant methods, grew more and more visibly pregnant, until one night when the full moon showed crimson in the sky. The babe was born, seemingly human but for his hair and eyes. Unfortunately, his mother did not survive his birth.

The child was raised by his grandfather. Mistreated, starved, beaten frequently, never even given a name, only called "Nameless." As soon as the first hair grew on his face, he was cast out of his home. Even as his heart was hardening forever with anger however, he encountered a Priest travelling through the countryside. The Priest, even knowing the boy's background, took him in. Taught him philosophy, music, to read and write. Taught him to defend himself, and more importantly, to defend others.

As the years passed and the two travelled the land, alternately acting as Guardians, priests, doctors, peacekeepers, and yes, sometimes assassins, the boy grew into a young man. One night, as they battled a hive of monsters, the Priest fell. And as his dying wish, bade the boy become a true Guardian, telling him that it was his destiny to use the monster inside him to destroy the monsters of the world.

But more, he charged his young apprentice with a far greater responsibility. A katana that seemed to whisper to all the dark places in him, and a small, tarnished bronze badge reading D.O.H.P. He had long known of the existence of these objects of power, but his Master had refused to answer all questions. With his last few breaths, he charged the young man with keeping both from the hands who would seek to do ill with them. On his last gasp, a name, a name which the one who has none seeks as he travels along the road to becoming a Guardian.

Dr. Moran.

*Misc: Has a reserve of dark power from his father's side. Most often this is manifested either as psychokenesis or bolts of dark energy, both of which are draining for him. However, if he is pushed beyond all reason into true rage, his demon blood takes hold. At that point he shifts into the true form of his father, an eight legged monster halfway between tiger and spider, black as homebrewed sin with poisonous jaws, larger than a horse. When he reaches this state, he can no longer differentiate between friend and enemy, and begins attempting to kill anything within reach. Each time this happens, there is the danger he will never regain his human self.

Weapon of Choice: Carries multiple weapons. Most often uses his meteor hammer, but keeps several holdout daggers secreted about his body, and lengths of razorwire in his bracelets. The katana is a relic passed down to him from his Master, a powerful object with a past streaked with crystals of frozen blood. He only uses this weapon as a last resort, and those who see it drawn are usually dead before the blade has stopped humming.

"William Daarkwulf. Exemplary job in the completion of all tasks. We hereby promote you to the rank of Hunter/Guardian. We also note that you are trained in the art of Spirit Capture. Congratulations."

"Thank you, Sir." William said.

William Daarkwulf stood in The Calivert Hunter Guardian Corps. Headquarters assingments office. He was dressed in the full gear of his new trade. He wore a pair of black denim pants and a white shirt, those were his. He also wore his fathers jacket and his fathers broadsword, The Howling Blade, was strapped to his back. His mothers katana, which she had not named but William ahd already begun calling Legacy, was sheathed at his left hip. He was ready to begin his new life.

"Soon you will be assigned two teamates and the three of you will comprise Team 13. I know you have been told this a hundred times, but I'm going to say it once more. When you slay the fiend, attempt to seal its spirit before it fully emerges from its body. It's vulnerable then. If you allow it to emerge it can then attack you, and while it will not injure your body it will injure your spirit and those injuries are twice as painful and take twice as long to heal. Report to the Equipment Office, they will supply you with a basic travel pack and scrolls, parchment, ink, and brushes for your spirit capturing. That is all."

"Yes, Sir." William said.

He then pulled an abrupt about face and exited the room swiftly and smoothly. The guards closed the door behind him.

Thank Gan that that's over. Now I can actually get started on this thing. Who knew that they only held their promotional meetings once a year. Damn. Oh well, may as well go get my equipment and see what all I'm going to have to add to it.

William began to navigate the corridors of the large complex in search of the equipment office thinking that he might go down to the training rings afterward...

Zenobia stared up at the building for a long moment. Her expression was blank but she was irritated to the extreme. So much noise, so much chaos, there wasn't even the saving grace of seeing happy children running about. All of the children she'd seen were those who were begging, stealing, moping on street corners, too weak to do anything else, to depressed to do anything. She coudl barely stand it here.

What did keep her rooted in her spot in front of the Headquarters was what she'd be doing over the next interval of time. She'd be eliminating those abominations that had ended not only the lives of those she loved but also of those she did not love, thos she did not know but her innocent nonetheless. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, stopping abruptly becuase it stunk out here, her senstive nose picking up a cocktail of not so appetizing smells.

She opened her eyes, "Alright." She murmered out loud moved inside. She hoped she didn't stick out like too much a sore thumb with her clothes, which she'd made herself. One thing she had problems with was others underestimating her because she was a "Pretty Lady" who looked like she should be locked away in some castle sewing. She rarely got upset this and she found it a benefit when she was facing an enemy. It became a problem when those she was working with or working for did it. She prepared herself for the same type of reaction here because whenever others saw her in action they never mentioned her sex to her face again.

Turns out that William had to add quite a bit to his travel pack. It was basic survival gear, a few field rations, and, of course, his spirit capture gear. He ended up adding quite a few personal touches, such as soap and a razor. After adding his things, plus a few personal affects, he headed to the training rings. It took him a while but he finally gained authorization to train against one of the Corps. captured fiends. A senior gaurd and a spirit capture artist accompanied him to the ring and stood on a platform set above the ring where they could observe the training yet still remain apart from it.

"Alright. If you're sure, we're going to release the fiend now." Said the guard moments before he threw a switch that released a panel in the wall of the ring.

The thing that emerged shuffled out on six short yet very muscled legs, it also had a short stubby tail and a ridge along its back. Its head was also short and boxy, it was bisected horizontally by a wide maw filled with jagged and crooked teeth. Four yellow eyes rested in its head just above the jaw.

The moment it saw William standing there it charged at him. William drew Legacy and sidestepped the beast letting the blade drag across the three legs that passed beside him. With half of its legs gashed it fell to its side. William shook the blood from his mothers sword and sheathed it. As he walked towards the moaning fiend he drew his fathers sword, The Howling Blade. He walked around to the beasts side and hefted the blade up. He brought it down swiftly into the fiends neck, he then tore it out chunks of gore dropping off backward facing points of his fathers broadsword. The monster died in moments as its blood poured out. An instant after it died a spectral version of it began to emerge from within it. William reached into an inner pocket of his jacket and drew out a folded sheet of parchment, he shook it out to reveal a mark of sealing. He thrust the sheet forward and it connected with the spectres head as if it were solid. In an instant the fiends spirit was drawn into the seal. And a black and white sketch of the fiend appeared beneath the mark of sealing.

"Here." William said as he handed the sheet of parchment containing the sealed spirit to the spirit capture artist.

"It is not wise to be overconfidant," Said the Spirit Capture Artist, "Overconfidance breeds arrogance. And while the spirits may still harm you you can not cause them physical damage unless your weapon is enchanted, and even that only lasts for a short time. Also keeping a mark of sealing beforehand is not always wise as its power will also fade if it goes long without use."

"I know. I know all of these things. It's just that I knew that this type of fiend would not be able to manuever well so I thought it would be easily disabled. As for the mark of sealing, I intended to make this quick and I had intended to disable it all along, so if the battle had lasted long enough for the mark to fade I would have had ample time to create another." William said.

"Very well. But please try to be more cautious. Not all battles will be this certain."

"Yes, Sir." William said, and began to head for the cafeteria.

She walked into the main building, ignoring a few stares, looking for someone who looked like they knew their way around. She found a young man with a thin stack of papers in his hand and snagged him gently so that he turned to look at her, "I'm sorry ma'am, can I help you?"

She smiled down at him, she was about half a head taller than he was, "I'd heard there was a need for Guardians, I'm answering the call. Who is it that I speak to?" She asked.

He paused, seeing him resist the urge to look her up and down. He managed a smile after schooling himself, "Right this way." He said and turned and hussled away.

The young Man led her to The Calivert Hunter Gaurdian Corps. Headquarters Assingments Office.

"Here you are Ma'am, this is where you can find the boss." The young man said before hurrying down the corridor again.

William was in the cafeteria finishing off a bowl of stew when a guard approached him.

"Sir, your prescence has been requested in the Assignments Office." The guard stated.

"Alright," William said as he pushed his chair back and stood up, "Lead on."

The guard began to escort William back to Assignments Office.

I wonder what this is all about... Maybe they changed their mind about me. What if they decided that I'm really not good enough to be a Hunter-Guardian...

William continued on to the Assignments Office in an increasing state of anxiety.

She nodded in thanks and knocked twice on the door before opening it and peering inside, "Hello, sir. Might I come in?" She asked politely. The office was not extraordinary, probably to keep from distracting him or anyone inside from their assignments.

"Alright, I'm here. What's going on?" William asked as he walked up to the Assignments Office.

"They need you inside. That's all we know." Said one of the guards as they opened the door for him.

William stepped inside. The first thing he noticed was an extremely good looking woman standing before the boss. He walked up to and stood next to her.

"You called for me, Sir?" William asked while trying very hard to keep his attention forward and not stare at the woman next to him.

Zenobia wasn't so polite. She didn't stare, but she looked him over thoroughly before returning her attention back to the matured man sitting behind the desk. She was wondering why the young man was called as well.

"I would like you two to get aquainted with one another. You will be working together as part of Team 13. I highly recomend that you two try to get along because you will be seeing a lot of each other. We are still looking for a third member for your team. When we find someone you will be called again. You are dismissed."

The two members of Team 13 exited the Assignments Office together and the guards closed the doors behind them.

"Hi." William said, blushing slightly and trying hard to keep his eyes looking straight into hers.

"I'm William Daarkwulf. It's a pleasure to work with you." He said as he held out his hand.

She responded with an open smile and a firm grip, "I'm Zenobia and I'm much obliged." She smelled food on him and realized that she was hungry as well, "You don't mind showing me where the cafeteria is, do you? I'm famished!" Her smile spread into a grin, showing off canines that were a bit bigger and sharper than normal.

William noticed the slightly pointed teeth but chose to ignore them, she was beautiful woman and she was talking to him.

"Uh, yeah, right this way." William said.

He led her through a mazework of corridors and hallways, pointing out the important places, before finally entering the Cafeteria. He led her to an area where there were many different kinds of food set out on small plates and in bowls. There was dinnerware and napkins in small trays off to one side.

"Go ahead and take whatever you want. It's all taken care of for us." William said.

He then picked up a small plate with a hoagie on it and a glass of water and, after Zenobia had chosen something to eat and drink, led her over to a table off to one side of the Cafeteria to sit down.

"So is there anything about this place that you want me to tell you? Oh, are you trained in Spirit Capture?" William asked.
