Crunching noises made Paki's ears flick all around, he almost appeared like the lion version of a hummingbird with as fast as his ears moved on top of his head. It wasn't everyday that he was near or around something that crunched. How was the little lion cub supposed to know that he was in the jungle on the outskirts of his pride's lands? Of course he couldn't, Paki wasn't a normal lion after all, he'd been born as blind as his siblings could see. While it irritated his parents it didn't bother him in the least. This was how he was, this was what he was and Paki took it all in stride, his little chocolate tipped paws and chocolate ringed ears moved as he trotted his vanilla body over the fallen leaves on the jungle floor. Oh how his mother and father would yell at him for this. It was nearly enough to make him giddy with happiness. Paki didn't run off or get into any trouble, unlike Nitesh that got in as much as he could. Their little vanilla boy was the epitome of good manners and never acted up. He hated it. So now here he was, though at the time he hadn't meant to be where he was. It just seemed like a good idea to keep walking to him.

A purple tail was wagging from side to side haning down from a big treebranch, the tree was coverd with dark green leaves so what ever it was up there was hided well behind the thick leaves. It had rained much recently maybe that was why all the plants looked and smelled so alive.
A pair off lightblue intense but calm eyes where watching a small lion cub in the distance those pair belonged to a leopard. The female yawned but not in those big and slobby ways she yawned in a very pretty way actually witch was unusual.. The female continued to wag her tail and watch the cub...lions where always so cute specially when they where babies. Suddenly she spotted something yellow on the other side off the cub it was another leopard...no that poor baby would probably be attacked in any second..
The female was right a big leopard male was sneeking up on the lion cub he was probably going to have something for lunch and off he went!

Paki's small paws kept moving, he could smell trees coming up on him and could sense their size when he was beside them. The little blind lion cub could sense everything in the world except the two leopards around him, the one thing that he was most afraid of in his life. Leopards made his entire body shake, probably having something to do with that one that had attacked him in his first week of life.
Sniffing with his small mocha colored nose, the little cub sat down on the ground and ran his tongue over a paw, rubbing one of his cheeks to clean it out of habit for needing to clear his face of dust. If there was anything near his muzzle he'd get rid of it immediatly. That was how he was, though he didn't know what color he was or if the dirt would simply just fade into his fur or not, Paki had been ingrained by his mother with the need to be clean, or at least to keep up self appearances. Wagging the mocha tip of his chocolate colored tail across the ground behind him, Paki turned his head from side to side, not sure if there was anything around him or not, but sure that he'd smell them if they were good. That was how he was.

The big leopard male took some big running steps towards the pup and lifted one off his big paws to hit the pup with but something stronger then him hit him in the side with a real punsh and the male landed on his side growling. The big female took a defensive pose infront off the pup and just looked at the other of her breed. The male was about to attack her too when he changed his mind and just went off again...it was hard to see if he got scared or not he just decided it wasn't worth it..
The female just sat there looking big and defensive not as many leopards would be for something else that wasn't own family or baby but this female did..

Flung into the side of a tree, Paki let out a scream of pain and curled himself into a small ball, the stripes on his sides now the only thing that could be seen because his legs boxed in his head. If it weren't for his vanilla and chocolate coloring he'd have looked like a small lion-like skunk with the stripes. Shivering in the tight little ball, Paki mewled in pain, he wasn't used to the force of being shoved or hit. Even his siblings took it easy on him and while he was no pushover, it was simply that Paki knew when to dodge, because all of his siblings were good, that way he could smell them, but whatever had just hit him and he was sure it was a leopard, had meant him harm, was evil. "Pappi! Mammi!!" Paki cried out pitifully in his small liquidy voice. Fright filled every ounce of the exclamation for his parents, why had he come this far away? why had he disobeyed his parents and gone here? Was Paki a fool now too?

The females ears where twitching a little but she didn't move until she saw that the male was out off sight then she turned her head slowley and looked down at the pup. Was he hit? she tought he didn't get harmed...maybe she got there a second to late...she hoped he wasn't that hurt so he would die or anything that would be horrible.. The female slowly walked up to the little pup, she bended her head down and sniffed at him gently this creature had a very pure aura no one could be born all pure but this creature almost felt like it even if she felt somewhat mysterious too..
" Are you ok little one? the leopard that attacked you are gone now...he wont be comming back " she smiled and blinked with her ice blue eyes..

Reaching up with tiny chocolate dipped paws, Paki patted the sides of the new voices cheeks. He could smell her, smell that she was close and from her voice knew that it was a female. But she didn't smell or sound like his mother, even the hairs on his body that stood when she got closer to him could tell that her aura was much different than that of Tanashita's. Flicking his ears back in embarrassment for how he must've looked to her, Paki lifted himself up from the ground and brushed himself off hurriedly.
"Er... I'm okay I guess, sorry about that. I'm just not used to being out here on the edges of the pride's lands." Paki said in his smooth voice. He wasn't that old, but he'd developed a voice much older than even that of what his older brother Bakari had. "Thanks for saving me. I'm no use since I can't see anything in front of me and I can't sense wicked hearted beings." Putting one of his small chocolate paws on his white chest, Paki sniffed around for the female, not sure of what she was, though she didn't seem like a lioness.

The female blinked and looked satisfied with taht answer she was glad he wasn't that hurt scared probably it isn't every day you are about to become someones lunch. Keilantra sat down infront off him so if he took a few steps forward he could bump into her. She continued to look at him to make sure he didn't had any wounds then she started to wag her tail gently.
" No it wasn't your fault...you are very young you can't notice everything yet because your sences isn't fully evolved.......you can't see? you meen you are blind? " hm what was a blind pup doing all by himself? hm maybe his family abandond him because his handicap? she sighed stories like that was never happy..
" You are welcome....but where is your family? " she looked around...they didn't seem to be here.

Scratching under his white chin with one claw, Paki thought for a long moment, not sure of how he wanted to answer this adult before him. She was an adult after all, he was a cub so she would probably just laugh at his description of his hatred for how he was treated about his blindness. But all the same, for some reason he wanted to open up to her. "They're probably back at the den, my siblings were playing tag and... I just can't. I can't see them to tag them, I can only smell them and they say I cheat. They always treat me weird, my parents don't think I'm strong enough to be by myself and my siblings think I'm like half a lion so they don't play with me aside from Nitesh... but he's just weird." Paki explained slowly. "I came out here because just once I didn't want to be the good little cub they want me to be... I just wanted to do something that would make them realize, though now I guess it was a dumb idea." The small cub hung his head in sadness. He was a fool, he'd nearly gotten himself killed because he didn't want to be treated differently.

She bent her head down closer towards the male pup and sniffed some more on him, poor child it wasn't his fault being born like that but sense he can't see he has to learn to evolve his other sences so he can survive out there but this is not the right way to do it...things like this takes time one in her family had been blind she never knew him that well but he had learned to live anyway..
" Hm well you aint much diffrent from the others...just because you can't see doesn't meen you are weird...but you must learn how to evolve your other sences then you could live a normal life " she smiled hopefully the pup would discover it one day on himself.
" Well parents are always worried...but of course they are more woried if you can't see...the eyes are very important but not that important your nose is a better weapon...hmm i carry you back to your home...you can't sit here " she opend her mouth and grabbed the pups skin in the neck and lifted him up.

Flicking his tail gently across the leaves under it, Paki closed his unseeing eyes and sniffed gently at the air. He could smell most of the forest, hear leaves falling a great distance away, feel every breath she took just from feeling how far away her chest got when she exhaled. Of course he knew that he had to use his other senses, he'd known that all along and he was trying to use them, he'd trained himself so that he could now catch birds from the air just by listening to how close their wings got and how much time was between each beat. He'd caught hare and frogs, when all of his siblings had trouble even managing to catch sight of some of those creatures.
Paki knew quite a few things, but he still didn't know why he couldn't sense or smell decietful and wicked lions or leopards. He figured one day he'd find out. "I'm Paki, it's nice to meet you." He said to her as he was lifted from the ground. "I'll tell you when we get close to the wall of my pride, we're a little ways off anyway. I walked a long way from home." Paki laughed brightly.

She blow out some hot air at him from her mouth..silly male doing stupid things like this that was never good. She never had any off her own yet but she had been babysitting many off her smaller siblings in the past so she was quite good at babies and children she was always so calm and wise so it was hard to trick her or make her angry.
She nodded and continued to carry him after a littl while she put him down to rest some he wasn't really that much off a baby and bigger pups was always harder to move. " I am Keilantra...call me Kei if that feels better ok...all my friends do " she pawed at him to fix his fur she had holded her mouth into it looked a little messy and her paw didn't feel like a lion paw...not cheetah either they had smaller paws...but she was a cat that was for sure.

Pricking up an ear, Paki immediatly rolled his shoulders. She had smaller paws than any lion he'd ever seen... in fact lions weren't as small as she was. The only paw that had ever touched him of that size was a leopard paw but.... why would a leopard save him from another leopard. "You're... you're a leopard aren't you?" Paki asked in a shaky voice. "Kei..." He added to the last part of the sentence the name he would use if she were his friend. Even if she were a leopard she had helped him, confused as he was he couldn't deny that fact. "Why'd... you help me if you're a leopard?" Paki asked. Blowing the puff of mocha colored mane off of his forehead, Paki stood up and brushed the dead leaves from his lower legs softly, his pale eyebrows pulled together slightly.
A leopard had saved his life, a leopard had smacked away another leopard. He could smell her and sense her so he knew that she had to be good, he wouldn't have been able to know her if she were wicked or evil. Frowning softly he bumped a head against her leg and rubbed it back and forth like a kitten. He was almost a juvenile, but he was still a cub at heart.

Kei put down her paw and sat down she streched out her body some so she could be ready to go again but she coulsn't carry him in 1 go from this distance towards his home he was to heavy for that. Then she decided to take a little brake and layed down for a little while.
" Yes...i am born a leopard and i always be one little one...well you where in trubble plus i actually think lions are pretty amasing i tought it would be very sad if you passed away that early " she nodded and started wagging her tail again this time more back and fourth.
" Well you don't seem to be that scared off me now " she laughed and gave him a little small purring sound as an answer to his rubbing..he was still a baby

"Amazing? Us? How're we amazing?" Paki asked in confusion. He didn' tknow much about leopards, but why would one want to be tied to the ground like a lion was? Leopards could fly through the trees at speeds even Paki envied, they could kill something with one blow and use pure muscle to drag it up a ten foot tree. How were lions amazing compared to everything leopards could do? While Paki was afraid of leopards he lived in awe of them. He'd love to be able to climb up in trees and fly over the ground below as easily as that, but sadly he couldn't. "Thank you. Not many would have saved me, at least not because they thought I would live for it. Most would just assume I was already dead, despite everything that I am and can do." Paki's head hung a little as he sniffed out her heart and curled up between her front legs, his back against her chest. Many would have figured that he loved leopards, though he had to admit that he only liked this one, others scared him beyond words, but Kei made him smile.
