Where had Kanth gone?
It had been quite a few nights since she had last seen the woman she was originally with, and Medusa hadn't been able to sleep well in the slightest. No one had told her anything, and Tiil'xhin was occupied with her new sister, Altessa, was it?
Medusa gave a yawn, leaning back against her soaking pillows again, staring out the window. The stars were pretty, she saw, and the atmosphere of the room only intensified the beauty.
Not that she understood it... raising her hand, she stared at the veins that glowed slightly, then poked her tummy, where the fish swam around lazily. She was glowing, but she didn't know the word for it. She knew that it looked a bit like the moon, though! The moon was blue and shiny, and so was she!
Maybe... maybe Kanth was lost, and didn't have a light to lead her home! Standing up in her watery bed, Medusa trodded out of the pool and out of the room, glancing around. No one was awake. How peculiar... Tiil and Altessa must have gotten sleepy too.
And out the door she went, not bothering to close the door - it closed by itself behind her - into the night, stepping off the beaten path to look for her caretaker.
She would rescue her! She would... oh, she was so tired. Maybe sleep was the best bet, after all. Medusa turned around, meaning to go back home, but... home wasn't there.
Eyes widening in realization, Medusa frowned a bit before turning and heading the way she was originally going, not realizing how much time had passed, nor that it was growing lighter, and her eyelids growing heavier...
Seeing a place that looked rather comfortable, Medusa sat down under a tree where a large puddle was, soon letting her eyelids slide shut and her body fall asleep.
Hours passed.

Pitch black. The sky was dark just like his skin, chilling too with the fall breeze rumbling along the grass he was wandering along. It had started out as a mere urge to go out and see the world at a time when it was safe, no people. As Haruki had explained again and again, normal people didn't go out at night. Well he wasn't normal, was he?
A soft plush doll was squeezed tighter against his chest at the thought, primastic eyes reflecting the mute light of the moon. No, he wasn't normal. He was bad, he was a bird, he was a Revon to be specific. From bi-colored eyes to the fact he was an odd child that chose to wear the brilliant chades of pink was enough to prove that. His brother didn't always approve of the pink either, but he liked it so much...
A mild sigh escaped the boy as he continued along, arms still cross over his stomach to support the doll that match his clothing. He didn't like to be odd, but how could he change things? Ignore what he liked? That would mean getting rid of his dancing game and most of his clothes now. From the pink stripes to the glittering jelly sandles which occaisionally gave a squeeking noise as he walked. He didn't want that, but he did was his brothers approval.
He'd resigned that it was impossible to get on his guardians 'good side' recently though. That side seemed not to exist. The man chose to sit on the couch or in his room with the door barely cracked open most of the time. If Revon stayed quiet, then all was well. If not... then he was told to be quiet and told to close his door. End of story. Tonight Haruki had been in his room reading something allowing Revon to sneak out to think. The red-head wouldn't have wanted to come along was the conclusion the young bird had made, so it was fine.
Fine enough.
But even accepting that he couldn't be good enough for some people wasn't solving his brother. His brother loved him, so why couldn't he be good for him? Was there some enlightening thing he'd missed? He'd thought about looking in some of Haru's books before, but that just didn't work well. No, he needed a way to solve the problem. Maybe something divine would show itself?
Like that?
The bird paused as he stared at what seemed like a faint light on the ground emenating from behind a tree. He'd only seen fireflies glow at night and whatever this was, it was far too large to be a firefly. Inching closer toward the tree obstructing his view and froze as he caught sight of what was one the other side.
"B-but p-people... do-don't come o-out at ni-night!" Was the quiet exclaimation that excaped the bird before he could silence himself. Oh no, he might have woken it up. He covered his mouth with his hands inching back a few steps.
Please don't wake up, please don't wake up.

Medusa shifted, her grey eyes opening to look at the dark sky, frowning at it. Had it been not that long of time? Little did she know, it had been a day or so since she last set out.
Standing up and making the puddle underneath of her ripple, she stretched and yawned against her will, feeling a bit tired still. It was then that she noticed the other, and blinking curiously, she waved in a kind manner.
He looked scared. Why on earth did he look scared? It wasn't her, was it? She glanced down at herself, frowning. She wasn't that scary... not like Altessa could be.

It woke up.
The boy's fingers dug firmly into the plush in his hands as the thing waved at him. Ebony wings drawing around his figure slightly as if to ward off some harsh attack that might come. He wasn't so worried about being hit. No, his brother sometimes scratched him, caused Haruki to sigh when he had to wrap a new set of white bandages around the wound. Physical pain couldn't compare to the thought that he was bad. To have someone disaprove of you.
But wasn't waving good? Hadn't his friend waved. Thena gain, he hadn't seen his friend since the day he met her. The scaled girl had gone off and seemed to vanish. He let his eyes fall to the doll in his arms seeming to ignore the girl momentarily. His fingers ran across the soft pink fabric as he went through the circular process in again. As usual it led to the same conclusion. He'd done something wrong. Something that made her hate him.
He really was bad. Bad at everything. Just a bad bird.
Bi-colored eyes turned up to the figure before him, though he still tucked his chin as he hunched his shoulders defensively. How could he change for the better if he couldn't remember what he did to anger them in the first place? How could he not be bad? He wasn't pink before with Yeesha, but pink was bad with his brother. Would the pink be bad now?
What to do in a dilemna like this? He didn't want to be near her, not really... but at the same time it would be rude to run away(Haruki kept telling him that, but he would walk away from people he didn't like allt he time in a similar manner), nor did he fancy walking around in pitch black again. He hadn't truly realized it before, but it was really dark out. Something young children tended not to like and Revon was no exception. Which left him stuck.
Then again, upon looking at the situation there was only one plausible and non-rude way to react. He hesitantly raised one of his hands, glancing at it out of the corner of his eye as if surprised at it's movement himself. Then a few jerky waves along with a stumbling reply from his mouth. "H-he-hello." And then he quickly dropped the hand and clung to the stuffed figure in his arms. He'd have to add going outside alone to think at night to that list of things not to do. People still came out at night.

Brightening at the gesture, Medusa walked over to him and the sound of her feet made a soft squish squish sound, before she stopped, mouth forming into a small 'o'.
"Are yew lost tew?" Came her quiet voice, and she wrapped her arms around her waist, making the fish inside of her tummy do a summersault just for show. "I can't fynd hoem..." She seemed curious at the plush he held, and looked at it while leaning forward on her toes, though tried her best to not get into his 'space'. Kanth had explained that before, that people didn't like it when you leaned too near.
She knew firsthand that Altessa didn't like it.

The boy's head almost began to tilt to one side as the noise her feet made. Then rality set in, closer. She was getting closer. Instinctively he started to take a step back until the girl herself halted and merely spoke. At her speak the only thing that came to mind was how Haruki would have had a fit over the accent she had. The usual frown that always shone when the red-head wasn't pleased with something one of the two boys had done flashed in his mind momentarily before he shook his head to clear it. Which meant he'd likely looked like he answered her question too. Just as well too, he didn't know how well he could speak now.
Still, at the statement regarding her home the boy glanced casually over his shoulder as if expecting to see the familiar lights of his own home in the distance. Or not...
Did he know the way home?
A look of new panic drew on his face as he turned back to the girl in realization only to find her leaning forward far too close. He quickly took a wobbling step back, obviously with too much haste as he stumbled and ended up landing on his butt starring at the glowing creature in shock. And then he noticed something else that was particular, as if glowing wasn't enough.
Yes, something that explained why Haruki had had such a fit over the twins getting into raw meat that day. "D-does... is t-that what e-eat-ing raw m-meat does?" He mumbled without a thought, obviously the fact he'd gotten himself lost floating out of his mind for the moment. If that was the case, he'd never eat raw food agian. He didn't want live creatures swimming around in his belly.

"Rawe... meet?" Medusa blinked. She didn't quite get it, but she glanced down at the fishee in her stomach, poking it idly. "Eet was..." Oh, what was it that they had called it? Scrunching up her face as she tried to remember, she instantly brightened, smiling. "A dayr." Yes, that was it! Someone bet that she couldn't do it, and she did. And that was why she had the goldfish in her stomach.
Peering at the kid closely, Medusa seemed to quiet, waiting for him to say something else. She certainly didn't want to scare him!

A dare? Revon didn't really know what that was. Yes, he did know the word, but the context of it didn't fully fit. He saw it moe as a 'you wouldn't dare' sort of thing. Not an 'I dare you.' So the concept was a bit lost on him. Still, he'd avoid these dares just incase it meant he'd avoid being stuck with fishies in his tummy. That just made him queasy to think about and it showed on his face.
Now she was just starring at him. Perhaps making a face like that wasn't a good idea. He quickly tried a nervous smile before looking over his shoulder again hoping to see the towering building. Never leaving home at night again. At least not without Haruki. How could he lose D-Corp?
"Y-you kno-w w-where D-D-Corp is?" Yes, best to ask. Maybe she knew. Haruki would have noticed he was gone by now right? Oh this was definitely not what a good bird did.

"Aer yew cold?" Medusa asked, stepping closer as she thought, grey eyes wide with concern. He wasn't scared at all - just cold! Then, she reached down and unwrapped her yellow bit of clothing from around her waist, putting it over his shoulders to prevent him from getting cold. There, now everything was better!
Thinking for another moment, Medusa looked around, eyes keen on staring at the area. It was then that she answered, slow and soft. "Aye... don't knoe."

Cold? He couldn't quite place where the question might have come from, but before he could say anything regarding it the girl had plopped the cloth over his shoulders. Which was fine really, she was just being nice afterall. Maybe some ok people were out at night...
Her answer was what made him sag a bit more. He was lost then. "O-oh..." He peered around one last time trying to spot out the tall building and shook his head. "H-ha won't li-like thi-s." He added quietly to himself. Then looking back up at the girl he tried a newer question, maybe she knew this answer. "Do y-you kno-w wh-where we a-are?"

Tilting her head, Medusa blinked. "We'er in th'woods." And then, on further glancing around, she squinted in one particular direction. "Theer's a haus over theer." Of course, she didn't know anyone didn't live in it, as there was no smoke coming from the chimney or anything in particular; all she knew was that house equaled people, and so someone had to live there to help them!
The glowing from her stomach lit up the area rather nicely, so they could see where they were walking. Giving a smile to Revon, Medusa started towards the house, placing one foot in front of the other carefully. Kanth told her she had to watch where she was walking, because she was easily susceptible to being cut or things being inserted into her, as her skin wasn't all that tough.

Well, it was fairly obvious they where in the woods. Which woods was the question? He followed the direction she was looking at the m ention of the house and spotted the outline as well. Well maybe that meant a way out, but... he wasn't really thrilled with meeting more new people either.
He wished his brother was there. Keivlos would have known what to do. Instead he ended up pushing himself back to his feet and trailing along after the girl while being careful not to drop her gift of warmth in the meantime. That would have been all too rude. "W-who lives th-there?"

"Don't knoe. Sumone has tew be thar. Tew help us!" She explained, nodding affirmatively as she continued to walk, coming ever closer to the house.
The lights were off, and Medusa walked up to the door, reaching up to turn the handle and peer inside silently.

Revon was even less thrilled with that answer. Still, he had to get home. And the other option was to go wandering around in the forest at random. That didn't seem like a better choice. So he followed after the girl quietly, peeking into the darkness within after she opened the door. He didn't really see anything, but he couldn't see too much past the pale blue girl, so that wasn't saying much.
The boy shifted his wings to shield himself a bit as he inched a step closer toward the door to get a better look. It didn't... really look like anyone was there at all.

Slumping, Medusa walked in and glanced over to the logs and kindling that lay before the cold fireplace, then glanced to Revon with curiosity.
"Do yew knoe how tew maek a fiya?" She murmured softly, pointing to the objects before looking around rather curiously. There was a large comfy chair on the far wall, and a large bear rug that was quite obviously long dead that she ambled over to, reaching out to poke its fangs with interest.
"No one hear." She spoke. "Thay won't mynd if we stay."
