User Image User Image The main courtyard leads to the front steps of an old church. It has large wooden double doors. Inside there are rows of wooden pews on either side of the faded red carpet that leads to the altar. A large stained glass window above the altar depicts a winged angel battling a demon. Off to the left, past the pews, are several private rooms. On the other side are the store rooms where various sacred items are kept. Up by the alter you can see Sister Ziara sweeping the floor. She turns around and gives you a faint smile before returning to her work.

After leaving the front entrance of Tenshi, James made her way through the courtyard and stumbled upon the old church. She crept inside past the enormous doors and in the back she found herself a seat in one of the pews. James gazed up at the stained glass window and was reminded of her past. Something about that window struck her subconscious mind so hard the she cried out in anguish and fell to her knees. Images of Michael, her most cherished friend and closest companion, flashed through her mind, bringing her to tears at the thought of his final image; his death.

Kathlyn wandered her way from the courtyard reluctantly as she came upon the chruch. Again a memory flashed through her thoughts to quickly to grasp. She wondered not for the first time what this place reminded her of. Whatever it was it left a good feeling in her; unsual, but nice.

As Kathlyn entered she found a girl on her knees crying. She paused unsure of what course to take at first. don't people have spiritual awakenings here or something? What if I bother her and mess it all up or something? Kathlyn wondered nervously. She watched the girl for a moment and walked towards her, giving a worried smile to the churchs attendant. "Are you ok?" she asked calmly crouching down to be at the girls level of vision. "I know; that's a stupid question to ask when you see someone crying...but I was wondering if maybe I could help at all. I'm Kathlyn." she said with a soft smile.

James' attention snapped up to the girl and the tears left on her face fell down her cheek. In a quivering voice she said, "I'm fine. It's nothing. Kathlyn you said your name was? I'm Jayme." She climbed to her feet and nodded in Kathlyn's direction.

Kathlyn smiled sweetly and nodded, "yep; I'm Kathlyn. I just got here and I was looking around. Are you a student here too?" She asked hoping to maybe befriend this girl; or at least brighten her day.

James smiled back. "Yeah. I'm a student here. Just arrived actually. How about you? I mean obviously you're a student otherwise you wouldn't have said too and I'm rambling on. Sorry." She laughed to herself and noticed the dimming light outside, signifying the near end of the day. James heard her stomach give off a rather loud growl and remembered that she hadn't eaten since last night. "I'm sorry to be rude, but I need to get something to eat before my body begins eating itself away." She laughed at the mere idea of such a thing.

Kathlyn laughed and smiled, "Of course, and don't worry about asking silly questions or rambling to me. I do it all the time." she said with a laugh and a happy smile. "I just got here myself, seems like I'm always late to things now a days. I'll let you go get something to eat. Maybe I'll see you in the cafeteria later. I want to scope out the campus a bit more before I get some food." Kathlyn smiled and gave the girl a big hug, "It was very nice to meet you and I hope your day; or night or whatever gets better. I look forward to seeing you again!" Kathlyn said with a bright smile.

Once again James entered the old church, this time knowing what awaited her inside. She took a seat towards the front and then bowed her head and began to pray. 'Listen. I don't do this ever, but I thought just this once that if you, whoever you are, would just tell me whether or not he is really gone or if he is safe where he is at. I'm not asking a lot here. I just want to know about Michael. He was the only one who ever truly cared and you took him away. Why?' Unaware, James repeated, "WHY?!" extremely loud and heard it echo back to her. 'You took my parents, my brother, my best friend. What else do you want from me? Am I that much of a screw up? What did I do to offend you? Okay, if you just give me some sort of sign as to why I am still here, then I will do anything. Just give me a sign!" James opened her eyes and took a deep breath. Her mind felt completely at ease and as she looked up at the stained glass window, she felt a sense of love. Suddenly, a strange feeling came over her and in her mind flashed the face of her beloved Michael, only he wasn't barried beneath the earth. He was living comfortably in the mountains with her past sensei. When the vision vanished she thought. 'Is this a vision of what is to come or of the past?' She sighed as she once again rose to her feet and left the church, on her way to the classrooms.

Not knowing where to turn, James raced into the church for comfort and guidance. For some odd reason she found comfort in the old church.

She looked up at the stain glass window that was the perfect reflection of her. James closed her eyes and concentrated on the demon within her. She connected to it, making sure to maintain her control of herself.

"Tell me, why can't I control you anymore?" "What you can't figure it out yourself? tsh tsh tsh. Idiot girl. If you let me have a little more control, then maybe I would help you out." "No, you WILL help me. Now tell me!" "Give me more power." "If I did that you would kill everyone and everything in your path." "No. I promise I wouldn't." "Your promises aren't worth a thing." "Maybe not, but it's all you have to go on." "No. I would rather figure it out myself. Good bye. Don't expect to see light again."

And with that she opened her eyes and left the church, insearch of an answer to her new question.

Neko Tiffie-chan

Moofles wandered into the church, glancing around the main hall. Giving a nod to the priestess what was attending the alter, she made her way to the first pew, brushing her fingertips against each wooden seat as she passed. The white haired deity removed her leather trench coat, setting it on the bench, and sat, head between her legs, her white hair flowing freely around her, all but drowning her body beneath. Her legs, bare against the cold wood, felt as cold as ice as she slipped her hands around her ankles, stretching out her back.

She prayed. She wasn't entirely sure what for, or even who to, but she knew that she wanted someone, one of her family members, or a friend or someone to hear her, and maybe pay her some attention. Tiffie was ignoring her, though, as a result of the spell or just plain distain, she wasn't quite sure. The deity had to admit she was missing the banter she had shared with the mortal neko, and was a bit worried, (though, she'd keep it to herself and kill anyone who found out), about the girl.

Apparently, while she had been off on her own, things had gone to ******** all at Tenshi, and Moofles had to admit she felt for Glissa, and made a mental note to herself that there should be some revenge exacted upon the boy that harmed her. After all, women demons and deities usually stuck together through things like this. At least, that's what her older sister always told her back in their mythical kingdom.

Maybe it would do her some good to pop down to wherever the demon headmistress was and check up on her. Maybe call in some otherworldly favors and aid the healing process.

She mused, summoning up her spiritual prowess, and began to meditate, hoping that no unfortunate soul distrubed her when she was releasing her native powers to the cosmos.

Kathlyn wanders in, feeling lost and confused. She sighed and sat down at a pew and felt her foot bump something...She heard it roll and curiously looked under the seat. There, by her foot was a bright blue egg, decorated with zigzags and dots. She picked it up and held it in her hand, "An easter egg?"

Trinity walked up to the Church door, placing a hand gingerly upon it. Smiling softly, she opened it and walked inside, looking all around in the school's House of God. She stopped to stare at the stain glass window of the demon and angel. She wondered if the humans would always paint these things in black and white, or if they would expand their minds to grasp the reality that surrounded them, the wars that were going on not between angels and demons, but angels and angels, and angels and humans. She stood to the side of the entrance as she flipped the page of her sketchpad over, drawing the inside of this church on the back of the exterior she'd drawn.

As she finally finished up her sketch, Trinity set her pencil back into her bag and looked at her surroundings. Though cliche it was, this place had a nice feel to it. She knew that she would enjoy returning to this place in the future. Smiling, she picked up her things and mumbled a prayer, then turned around to leave and go elsewhere. She smiled as she looked at the stained glass window a little longer, almost as if saying goodbye, but really saying hello.

After whatever a Luna Ray was, Kira had decided that an altar would be an easy object to find. She had located the church upon the map and marched right toward it. All the while, her mind was pondering over the other item's locations, but they would have to wait. She was fretting a little. She had actually stopped to pick up a hat from her room, and was wearing it over her head to hide her ears. They'd surely be more accepted here, but it wasn't that easy to get over unease she'd held forever. She let out a sigh as she reached up to adjust the hat lightly, making sure it fit snug. Meanwhile, she'd made sure to wrap her tail snugly around her waist, trying to make it less noticeable as well. It always made her so nervous...

After a while, Kira found her way to the church. She stood for a moment, staring awkwardly up at the doors over her head, and then let out a sigh before pushing them open. From then it was a quick walk to the altar, a click of her camera lens, and then the hurried footsteps carrying her back out of the building. Being in churches always made her skin crawl.
