Now one of the major things on my mind about my training, is how my schedule will be with all this crosstraining going on... I beleive this came up a long time ago too..

What kind of schedule do you have, how does it work, and what kind of toll does it take on you?

Do you train in an art for a certain period of time at a time? Or do a month of this and a month of that off and on? Or do you just pile all that stuff onto each month plus jobs, friends, R&R , other priorities, etc.

Tuesday: 7-4 University; 6-7 Teaching my class; 7-8:30 Chi Kung

is Chi Kung the art that's pronounced phonetically "she gong", i'm making it real easy to read. because if you do that i'd like to talk to you about some of the theories. i started learning a kata but i can't remember the whole thing, you might know it *fingers crossed*.

otherwise, my scedual:

mondays i don't get any dojo time in. 7-2 high school, 6-10 college. just enough time to eat, sleep, and play some games. in the class breaks i manage to run all of my kata.

tuesdays. school 7-2. help teach 5-7 kids class, basic review of all the simple katas. 7-8 i teach my own class, fun stuf. 8-9 adult class, i take part.

wed. (still can't spell it) school 7-2. help kids class 5-7. hour off. sometimes i go down the street to my community college to train with my old school tang soo do guys. 8-9 adult class.

thurs. see tues.

fridays, it's free right now, but we're starting up a book class again. since we do so many pressure points we have a book class going. it's incredibly complicated. if you're looking for stuf that's complicated in martial arts i don't think i've found anything deeper than pressure points under dillman. the class is just in general, they open the doors and come and go. last time i think it was around 7-8.

saterdays when i get up in time. 9:30-10, weapons training, 10-11, help with the kids class. 11-12 help with the adult class.

sunday free.

sometimes on mondays or wed. i'll go in for the day classes, 11-12, but i have to have my 4th hour fall in that time seeing as i don't have a 4th hour class.

My schedule is all over the place at the moment due to my shift pattern.

But this is a rough example of what I do in a week (at the moment):

1 and a half hours of submission wrestling.

4-6 hours of BJJ

2 hours of Judo

1-6 hours of stand up (boxing/muay thai)

1 hour of kali

4-8 hours of cycling

I've been thinking about my schedule as of late and i've decided to change what I do by cutting down on the BJJ and using that time to do more running and weights.

Nah, I'm normally at my dojo on Friday nights too. I don't really have that much of a life, but then I look at all the morons who go out on Friday nights, I have to wonder if being at the dojo is so bad.

I don't like going out after training - usually I like to relax and chill out watch a film - drink fluids - Never drink enough water when training - nice shower/bath and relax in front of the telly...Or i like to go home and practice practice practice..quite often I finish training and have just got into it and then have to stop so I go home and practice patterns and go over some theory - grading coming up soon.
Getting a big punch bag!

lol I never drink after training, I get a huge burning sensation in my throat and chest, and thats from NON alcoholic drinks, things like coke etc.

So I drink water throughout sparingly and then wait 45 mins or so afterwards, as for alcohol I rarely drink it, though I can do anything with Absinthe cool
