okay. i don't know if you know this, but there are some clues in the series to why i knew L was going to die. (they might not be right, you know.) sweatdrop
but okay. yknow when the beatles were trying to fake paul mcCartney's death? in all of the pictures in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, paul was sitting with his knees tucked up to his chest, and in some he was barefoot (the popular pic of the four beatles walking down the street)
okay. THAT'S because...in england, people are BURRIED WITH THEIR KNEES TO THEIR CHEST AND BAREFOOT. scream
L sits with his knees up to his chest, and is almost always barefoot confused (except for when he gives a speech at To-Oh). and he's brittish.
so....that's why i kind of knew he was going to die before it happened. sweatdrop

Well, that MIGHT'VE been a clue, but I doubt it. I think that's just a coincidence...L just does those things because it's his personality.

That's extremely valuable information, though it's not exaclty a "clue" to know that he was going to die. The reason L sits like that is because he is diagnosed with the Asperger's Syndrome, and that's one of the symptoms.

L looks Japanese to me, nothing otherwise was mentioned in the manga. But he was brought up at the Wammy house right? So he'd be a Japanese boy brought up in England. Maybe his nationality was considered English? Just a guess. Also, I thought L having Asperger's Syndrome was just a theory? Because i've read an essay someone wrote about it, but it was just that, an essay. Unless its in the manga, in which case, tell me to shut up!

And though there where some subtle hints, I doubt that was one of them.. neutral

But how do you know L has Asperger's Syndrome...it doesn't say that in the manga does it?

well, after i read this, i looked up symptoms for Asperger's, and they all matched.
Examples:
-IQ of patient is often high
-Are particularly enthusiastic about certain subjects and intrets
-Excell in two or three main fields
-Absorb and process information at a high intelligence rate
-Socially disabled
-Teased by peers and doesn't have many friends
WHY IT ISN'T AUTISM:
-there are no language impairments
-the patient doesn't suffer from trouble reading or grasping language

wait, you've GOTTA be kidding me. sweatdrop raito can be friends with anyone he wants, and uses anyone he wants.
in the beginning he walk home with FRIENDS, and he has a lot of girlfriends throughout the series. people are just naturally drawn to him xd
he's just naturally intelligent, i highly doubt he has asperger's because the social disability is a HUGE part of it. otherwise you'd just be intelligent.
