Tell me who is the best from those listed in the poll and why.
And I want a serious answer other than "He/She is soo cute!"
Yes, we know 'he'/'she' is cute.
That is why we have fallen in love with this series.

4.) Bump if you want! This is a free world. Don't advertise though. If you want to advertise, go to the Chatterbox in the main forums or whatever.
5.) Follow Gaia ToS. That is a stipulation everyone has to do. I'm just reminding you.

In my opinion, Hakkai is the best, simply because I can best relate to him. He's almost always speaking a foriegn language (being better 'educated') to Gojyo and Goku (though I love them, too). He's also the most dependable. I'm dependable to a fault... it's a failing of mine.
Not only that, but I am a sucker for green eyes, tragic pasts, and dragons.
And he's got all of that.
Anyway... Hakkai is the best because he's the emotional support everyone needs. Sanzo depends on him because he is similar to the priest. Gojyo needs him for his dependability. Goku needs him for his acceptance and love. And not the love that one would associate with yaoi. I'm talking about actual familial love, something that Goku completely missed out on thanks to 'Those Up-Stairs'.

Works for me...that's usually why I like a character...Y.Y;; I mean, if Goku were ugly...then I'd probably find him annoying...it's his cuteness that makes his attitude work. : D Like when he's sad...Y.Y;; The sad face...it's just...SO KAWAII!! ^.^ I do like Goku's sensibility! : D So adorable...he's got a child-like innocence...yet, he's a strong "adult" too!! 2.) definitely Gojyo... I mean... the guy has a bad past with no lovin' what-so-ever... and still manages to be hte big brother of the group. Plus the personality that isn't really explored tends to be like me the more and more I know about him..... and just to get it in... b/c I'm his biggest fan.
and well... all the characters are the best though just b/c it wouldn't be a great Saiyuki without them! ^_^ heart

The best? I can't decide! The only character I trully dislike is Dr. Nii. I love all four protagonists, and have come to love the reluctant antagonists as well.

Why do I love Goku you ask. Well thats easy. I dont quite know what it was a first that mad me fall for the monkey. I know now that it is probably Gokus story and history in Gaiden that makes me like him so much. I am so bosesed with Goku and his story its not funny... okay so maybe it is a little bit funny.

Yes I do quite like Nii. He is quite evil. He does need to work on that evil laugh though.... its kinda weak. I am kinda embarased to say thing but... I think Nii is kinda hot at time redface Am I the only one that thinks this. I have a pic of him in an art book where he is in his black Sanzo robes and he looks really atractive... its true!!

I can definately say that while I do love all of them, I have a soft spot for Kougaiji-sama
Why?
I can relate to him. My mother died from emphysema in Feb of 05, and I was very sadden by this. I would've done anything for her, just as Kougaiji will do anything to help his mother, even if it means doing something wrong for hope. But he does regret doing some of the things for his evil step-mommie. And he said to her that he's only doing this for his mother. And even though him and Lirin are half-siblings, he still treats her with the love and affection she needs and deserves. Whereas my older sister and I are half-sisters (same mom, different dads), but yet we don't care. biggrin

Okay i came up with another reason why Goku rocks.... He rocks because he is so much fun to cosplay as. xd You get the cap and the limiter and a staff and food and a Sanzo to drag around with you while your buying Saiyuki merchandise. Goku is the best to cosplay as.

Hakkai rocks. A perfect friend, polite, caring, brotherly, not perverted, kind, funny (though not as funny as Gojyo), and intelligent.
If Sanzo is the head, Hakkai would be the brain and/or backbone. His trying to be funny, ultimately makes him funny.
It's not just because Hakkai's good looking. (though that makes for +30.)
Order of my fandom:
#1: Hakkai (50%)
#2: Gojyo (30%)
#3: Goku (15%)
#4: Sanzo (5%) kakainis kasi siya eh... masungit pa.

Impulsive Priestess ... No one seems to like poor Sanzo crying Though Sanzo is the one with the coolest attitude, he's also the most irritating to me... Always grumpy... Irreverent... Grumpy... hates jokes... Hates everyone... Grr.

Alanna79 The best? I can't decide! The only character I trully dislike is Dr. Nii. I love all four protagonists, and have come to love the reluctant antagonists as well. I don't like Nii either. I find him kinda irritating at times. Mysterious, weird-humored, yes, but irritating. One thing I like, though, is in the Saiyuki Reload manga vol.1, he dressed up Kou-tachi excluding Lirin in cabaret girl outfits and matching bunny ears. Yaone was shamed...

I like Goku the best. He's funny, loyal, and his fights with Gojyo are priceless. Kougaiji's awesome too.
