For those of you unfamiliar with the Darwin Awards, I'll refer you hereAnyway, here's the story: Quote: 5 September 1999, Jerusalem In most parts of the world, the switch away from Daylight Saving Time proceeds smoothly. But the time change raised havoc with Palestinian terrorists this year. Israel insisted on a premature switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time to accommodate a week of pre-sunrise prayers. Palestinians refused to live on "Zionist Time." Two weeks of scheduling havoc ensued. Nobody knew the "correct" time. At precisely 5:30pm on Sunday, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs. A closer look revealed the truth behind the explosions. The bombs had been prepared in a Palestine-controlled area, and set to detonate on Daylight Saving Time. But the confused drivers had already switched to Standard Time. When they picked up the bombs, they neglected to ask whose watch was used to set the timing mechanism. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, delivering the terrorists to their untimely demises.

Wow. Just... Wow. The reasoning behind the daylight savings time stuff is weird to begin with. Not being willing to follow the same time as the rest of the country is weirder. But blowing yourself up due to not knowing what time it was? That's totally deserving of the Darwin Award. Thanks for the amusing article.

to me this is a perfect example of why hatred of race, religion, sex, or age is stupid.

Kiashana Not being willing to follow the same time as the rest of the country is weirder. They're not part of the country. That'd require right of return and/or voting rights. Kiashana But blowing yourself up due to not knowing what time it was? That's totally deserving of the Darwin Award. Thanks for the amusing article. Word. Yvette to me this is a perfect example of why hatred of race, religion, sex, or age is stupid. Double word.

Well, I meant more in terms of following the time of the country where you live. I mean, if you're in a country that follows Daylight Savings Time, you use Daylight Savings Time. I look at this like... If I were to visit Israel, but keep my watch set on EST, and follow the time according to that instead of Israeli time. It's just stupid.

It would all just be easier if we could all get along or at least deal with eachtoher, but no as a human being we are to lazy to see the easy way to fix things instead we deside "oh i need go throw a nuclear bomb at you because you are being mean to me" or "i'll just bomb them because they aren't my friend" it's all stupid and i'm not talking about everyone just most people

Its all very confusing , I just hope not so many people were killed.

I'm a big fan of the Darwin awards, and that is one of the most deserving ones I've yet to see. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face.
