IVE READ UP TO VOL.7 AND IVE HEARD ALL ABOUT VOL.13, BUT I STILL DONT KNOW WAHT RYUZAKI MEANS. EVERY JAPANESE NAME MEANS SOMETHING, RIGHT? ALL I KNOW IS THAT "RYU" MEANS DRAGON... PLEASE, GIVE ME A CLUE SOMEBODY!

While just about every name has a meaning in the language it's from. L chose Ryuzaki because he felt like it. It's not some clue to the series XP.

so what if it's not a clue. and ryuzaki doesn't mean dragon blossom, because "hana" is flower/blossom. that's a good question, really.

I guess it does not matter that badly but I'd have to agree with the idea that L chose that name randomly so that his character will not lose its sense of mystery that it had during the first few volumes.
Randomly like the time he choose "Ryuuga" then again, the purpose for posing as a decoy with that name was stated in the manga. Ah! Random thoughts in my head.... I guess anything goes to what "Ryuzaki" really means. It just depicts mystery to me... like "L".

sweatdrop it would be nice to know, but it's not even his real name. i'm not sure they should have revealed his real name...it kind of ruins his prestige sad kind of like "wow he really was just another boy... sweatdrop with a name...and a mind, and a heart...i dunno why, but i just thought L was above all that. and him actually having a name ruins it sweatdrop

My name is Lionel, and at school, all the anime people call me "L" because they claim I look like him... IDK... maybe my hair... Anyways, it sometimes bothers me but then I think of how cool a character he is, it doesn't bother me. sweatdrop

Yeah, but it isnt as good as you think it is... Everyones like "OMG Death Note this, Death Note that, Death Note with a baseball bat"! Am Im like, OMG shut it... And the worse part of it is that they dont know anything about it, yet they act like they gave birth to all manga/anime. scream
