No, she didnt die, at the last episode...Nyu was the one at the door. And when her horns grow back(in 3 years) Lucy will also be back....

Ummmm......in case you didn't know..... Lucy SPOILERS dies SPOILERS in the manga. So even if she WAS the person at the door she'd still reach the part in the manga where she was SPOILERS killed SPOILERS.

This is just a thread to theorise so it doenst really matter what happens in the manga. I like Lucy's idea.

I like the idea too. And I agree with Deschaine its real fun just to theorise sometimes, even if the manga disagrees with it.

I think that it was Lucy at the door. But with all the evil and pent up rage blown out of her. She would be able to live a normal life since she has no horns and Kouta loves her! Lol. I am a sucker for happy endings.

My friends and I are RPing a second season thing to Elfen Lied starting because that scene by the door. We made it so it was Nyuu, well Lucy because she had all her memories. In the last scene she sent two of her vectors up, ne? Well we figured she used the other two to push herslef off of the ground and survived. =D Anyway, in our theory we have her living back with Kouta and Yuka. Since Yuka is a little.. *Insert bad words here.* she's worried about Lucy going all psycho killer on everyone again. So, they go off and find a shrink to help her to suppress any blood thirsty feelings she might have. We then have the shrink use Lucy because he wants to watch the evolution, he awakens the killer in Lucy that had been sleeping during her peaceful life with Kouta. Just like the double personality thing, then, the dark side takes over one night and breaks into the facility. =D She then breaks out my friends and I before escaping and making her way back to bed. xD Awesome, ne? I still like the ending of the manga, with the end of the manga there is no room to theorize, its pretty straight forward, the only way there would be a sequel would be with someone else as the main character.
The anime ends too ambiguously for me. I like the closure of the manga's ending, and personally thats the ending I feel is canon with the storyline.
