The huntress lay content under the light of the moon by the "shade" of a scraggly tree, paws and muzzle long since cleaned of the blood from her hunt. She was satisfied, full and content, and at peace. Her other half was leaving her alone, letting the shy violet rest.
This star, she wondered if a certain king was resting well with the others in the sky above her. Ever since Mufasa's murder it had been hard to see the night sky and not wonder. He'd struck a plesant first impression with even her other half, that was a hard feat to accomplish, maybe it was only noteworthy but...
Tai exhaled softly, burying her face into her paws. Why did these types of things happen to good people like Mufasa...?

Daemon was getting situated now. Trying to remember where exactly everything was, where everyone usually stayed so he would not wake them. He was on a walk this night, under the moonlit sky. He loved it. His eyes traveled up to teh stars, the kings were their. His mother told him stories about them.
But he wondered where she was.
Perhaps she was within the moon's light, shinging down on him now. watching over her. She had to, she had given him the strength to decide to come back home. Yet he ahdn't met many since he arrived, he hoped that would change soon. Daemon was a gruff lion when he wanted to be, but he could be sweet as well.
His ice blue hues fell on a sleek white figure nestled beneath a tree before him. He padded slowly in that direction, the wind blew in his favor, a female, he wondered why she was alone on a night like this. "Excuse me miss...but isn't it late for such as one as you to be all alone?" he asked, tail flicking behind him. He was smiling at her, but he kicked himself in his mind, where were his manners?
"I'm Daemon," he said with a bow to her, raising his head again he smiled still, "I just got here recently. May I ask for your name miss?"

Taistartled a bit in surprise as she heard the other speak. She hadn't caught scent of him, and hadn't heard his approach for her distraction. The female grew just a bit uncertain, and who wouldn't? After what just happened with Mufasa's murderer-- suspect everyone...
Sad, really, how much influence her other side still had over her.
Her pale eyes took in the sight of the male, revealing her scarred eye. Who was he? What was he here for?
"Daimyn...?"
The name, and given the dark light her first glance had her mistaking him for her older brother! But no, not him. She looked sheepish, distressed a little bit, and embarassed.
"Oh, Daemon, I, I'm sorry. You look a lot like my brother, his name sounds a lot like yours. My name is Tai, are you new to the Pridelands?"

Her name was short and simple, quite nice compared to many he had heard that were two miles long and hard to remember. He mostly shortened names, easy for him to remember (he has such a horrible memory as is), or he called cubs 'kid' to make it even simpler. His memory wasn't the greatest, he knew that, he blamed it on the lack of knowing things of his past, his family.
Daemon smiled adn came a bit closer to her (but gave ehr space) and sat down upon the ground. The dew gathered on the tall grasses were cool against the bottom of his paws, he missed the feeling and it rushed all over him again.
His name relating to that of Tai's brother intrigued him, "No need to apologize Tai," he said with a nod, leaning back a bit to stretch his back, his shoulder were usually sore, probably from all the traveling he ahd done to get here.
"Well, yes and no, my mother gave birth to me here...but...well I lost ehr when I was young, and went to search for my father...I didn't find anything, so I decided to come back...I wanted to have a home again." IT was strange talking of his backstory, but Daemon guessed that he would have to do this a few times when he would meet someone. It was getting easier to tell though.
"What about you Tai? Have you and your brother lived here long?" he was curious, he had to be with someone like Tai.

"Us...? No." She replied quietly, shaking her head just so. "No. I actually haven't seen my brother in months. I came here hoping to find him. Our father took us from here when we were young too, I tracked him here, but so far I haven't found him. Maybe I'm just scared to."
After all, who would want to face the possibility that their only remaining family would try to chase them off?
Her eyes averted, leaving out mention of her other personality committing her to stay here. No need in making this guy think he was crazy.

Daemon thought it was a bit sad she hadn't seen her brother in so long, what he'd give to have living family...a sibling of his own. But he was the (surviving) cub of his litter, thus was an only child in a sense. "Least you knew your father ya?" he never knew his father, or his name. Only knew that his mother had to come here alone to give him a proper place to grow up and be happy.
Well look how that turned out...
Why was she afraid though? "Fear is something everyone experiences, I know it well, but you can't hide forever can you? I'm sure you will see your brother again," he knew fear. He was afraid to come back here, believing he might not make any friends with anyone, oh well. Everything was seeming to be going well as of now.
"Are you waiting, for him here?" Daemon asked, referring to this specific spot, perhaps thats why she was all alone..though he still wasn't quite sure.

Her gaze was already diverted, so she didn't have to do so then, but the mention of her at least knowing her father... He had no idea. Of course he couldn't have known, she thought nothing personal of it.
"Not really, I just haven't decided what to do yet, really..."
Her paws shifted, drawing the lioness' hind legs closer underneath her instead of lying out so comfortably. Considering they'd just met the conversation was going along rather openly, but that was the kind of girl that Tai was, friendly and easy going, trusting, and a touch naive. Well, very naive.
"He probably has his own family by now, I guess that's probably all that's really left for me to do. I don't really like to travel so, I'm not sure what else I would do."

Daemon nodded at her and her words. Sometimes situations had to be thought through thoroughly over a large span of time. He did that frequently, even with teh most simple things.
This was nice, it was a niec night under the moon, carefree talking with one other. Not having to worry about others thinking he was intruding on another when Tai just seemed so open. He hadn't seen that much with others. The words on her brother though made him think-is that what she wanted? To be like her brother and have what he has?
"If your brother has a family, that can be good, if you wish to have a family, you can, you don't have to have a family just because your brother might...it's your course, your life. Not his. Make it your own Tai. Do what you think is right..." All teh lessons he had learned from his mother were currently being rolled into one, he learned them so young but could still remember her words.
Perhaps those words would let Tai at ease as well.
"Family is nice, I don't have any siblings, someday I hope to start a family, someday..." he looked at her, she was looking to the side, perhaps he had said something wrong? "But that is for time to tell..." he stopped for a moment and just watched her silently. She seemed lost in thought, he wondered what she was thinking.
Maybe he had said too much?
"I'm sorry...if my words upset you at all Tai..." so it goes, perhaps another mistake he made.

Just then her eyes widened, and she looked to Daemon with another guilty expression, quick to verbally reassure.
"No, no, of course not! I'm sorry, I guess I'm just not really myself lately."
She shifted to rise to her paws then, but afterwards wasn't sure why she had done so at all. Why was she restless so suddenly?
She offered Daemon a snakey smile, then averted her gaze again uncertainly. ~Ever since we'd been seperated I've been -trying- to find my own way.~

Ice eyes watched as Tai suddenly moved up, he went to stand as well but felt as if it wasn't his place, he ahd just met her afterall, but he felt guilty if it really was his fault of bothering her that amde ehr want to leave.
"It's alright...just wanted to make sure, sometimes...I just get carried away," Daemon said with a smile, flicking his tail to the side. He had a habit of doing that, prying in deeper then he should, such a bad habit of his he had to break.
He watched her for a moment before standing himself and walking over to stand beside her, "It is getting late, perhaps Tai, would you like me to walk you back to your den?" he could at least offer that. Perhaps it would calm her, he really didn't think he would make anyone too not at ease. Perhaps if was just strange, or like Tai said, herself not being herself...or...something along those lines.
