Branwan 50%

Branwan was on the beach this afternoon. Well physically anyway. Mentally she was somewhere else entirely, but I’ll go more into that later. Her brown shorts had showed a fine view of her grayish, calloused legs and had a hole cut into them allowing her feathery tail to stick out. Feathered arms and a matching neck came out of a light green polo that covered her also feathered chest. The light of the sun reflected off her proto-beak and eyes that looked into the distance and-
-Did not. Sure, her eyes where pointed at the ocean, but she was not seeing it. Just as the sound of the surf reached her ears but she did not hear it. The world she was in was oh so much brighter.
There is a field full of tiny pastel flowers surrounded by a forest full of tall trees and no thorns. In the middle of the a little girl, almost a flower, dances. Wherever her feet touch the flowers fly like multicolored butterflies. The girl is accompanied by classical sounding music with violins, pianos, trumpets, flutes and trombones. The beauty of this is that she was unconsciously creating the music in her head. The music danced up and down and-
-Pushed reality to the periphery. Experts on dyslexia call this Disorientation, where all or most of the senses feel things that they actually are not feeling. In small amounts this can be good for thoughts as pictures can allow you to think faster then words but it is not good to the extremes that Branwan was experiencing it. But with what she was facing who could blame her? Branwan’s mutilated fingers twirled spirals in the sand absently.

Making his way along the beach, Erik was desperate for something to do, because lately, things were getting monotonous, he was doing the same things over and over. He needed a break from the ordinary, something to make today different.
Turning his head, he saw his girlfriend sitting by herself, and a smile formed on his face. Hoping she'd like some company, he casually strolled over to her, sat down next to her, and asked with a musical tone to his voice "Watcha' doing?". As he spoke, his tail curled around Branwan.
