Yup... inspired by this pretty piccie, I wanna bring up the subject of the unconventional/underrated/etc. fanpairings ^o^ The following are ones that I've seen fanart/fiction for once of twice, or at least, not very often: Hakkai/Goku Goku/Gojyo Homura/Goku Shien/Nataku Chin Iisou/Hakkai Nii/Lirin Dokugakuji(Jien)/Gojyo Nii/Kamisama Ukoku/Kamisama Ukoku/Komyou Sanzo Shuuei/Koryuu Tenpou/Gojun Sanzo/Yaone gonk People, if you EVER come across something called "AnimeFiction", avoid it, for your own sanity...I'm sure there are others, but I can't be bothered to think of more XD. Anyone else seen others? What do you think of them? Which ones do you like? blaugh I thought it'd be a pretty interesting topic 3nodding .

The strangest one I've seen would be the doujinshi I found on ebay who's pairing was a love triangle between Sanzo, Gojyo, and Homura.

I find the Hakkai/Goku ones really strange... How would that work? I mean- Hakkai cooks monkey food, monkey likes it, Hakkai's pants get tight? XD;;

Let's see.. as far as I gather, the only canon pairings that were in Saiyuki, past and present:
Gonou/Kanan
Homura/Rinrei
Nii/Gyokumen
I think Zenon had a wife or something, too... sweatdrop

Yeah- the ones the show sort of insinuates.... Like Sanzo x Goku and Gojyo x Hakkai. I guess people think its more exciting to mix it up a bit... [myself included].
Yeah, Zenon did have a wife...don't know if they ever say her name... I think they pair Gojyo with some girl that dies later on in Gunlock... Also Gojyo got paired with Houran from the movie.
And remember that weird ep. with the girls that were sent by the parasite to kill the sanzo group? That sort of implied that they liked each other...

It is interesting to see HhakkaiXSanzo pairings, because they're never really at each other's throats, though watching them in Reload was hilarious! smile
