Apple prances around the fields hearing the crunching of the fall leaves that have fallen off of the trees underneath him. He looked at all the beautiful colorings of fall the oranges the reds and the yellows. He walked over to the river happily and bent his head down to take a sip of the cool refreshing water. He loved the fall because of the cool water and the fresh air. Taking a deep breath he looked across the fields.

It was early fall and the beautiful leaves had begun to fall off the graceful trees. Nalani had been galloping across the fields, loving the now cool breeze sweeping over her and through her wavy mane. She came to a stop under a great oak tree to catch her breath. The mare didn't know why, but where ever she went there always seemed to be butterflies around and they loved to rest on her.

While looking across the fields he noticed a mare that had butterflies upon her. He then saw her wings that were different from the other mare's that he had met. They looked as if she was part butterfly herself. He looked up at her horn so far he had met another horse with a horn herself. He smiled and walked over to the mare noticing it was Nalani! He happily whinnied a hello to the mare and trotted over to her quickly.

She quickly turned her head at the greeting. "Mr. Delicious!" It was as if she commanded them, the butterflies took off and flew towards Apple. Nanali couldn't help but chuckle as they covered the poor stallion. The mare walked over to nuzzle him. "How have you been dear friend?" He had been one of the stallions she had met the other day, but she felt as if she knew him longer. His name suited him, for he was sweet and kind.

He smiled at the mare and looked around at all the butterflies. "I'm great and how are you?" He nuzzled her softly. He liked meeting other horses but so far she was the second mare he had met. He was happy to say that she was his friend.

"I'm happy as can be." She gave him a girlish grin. "So, what have you been up to lately?" Some of the butterflies came back to her, but the rest stayed on Apple. She chuckled, "I hope you don't mind my little friends, they tend to do a lot of weird things around others."

His eyes crossed a little as one landed on his nose. "I'm good with them.... as long as they don't bite." He smiled and laughed a little at his eyes crossing. He then uncrossed his eyes and looked at the mare. "I've met your "mother." she is very nice." He smiled then watched the butterflies fly around. He started to sort of like them.

Nalani chuckled as one of her butterfly friends landed on his nose and made him go cross-eyed. "Don't worry, they don't bite. They're harmless." She smiled at the mention of Jeevita. "She is a wonderful alicorn. I'd give my life for her. Jeevita has always been there for me." The wavy-haired mare whinnied and the butterflies came back to her.

Apple smiled and watched all the butterflies leave him and fly over towards the mare. "She really is a wonderful mare, and so are you." He smiled at Nalani and watched the slowest butterfly land on her side.

Nalani grinned at his sweet comment of her and her "mother". "Yes she is, isn't she?" She looked at the butterflies and laughed innocently. "I must look silly covered in these tiny creatures. They won't leave my side. I must be like their queen or something."

He smiled. "Well you look like a queen. Plus they look very nice on you." He looked at all the little butterflies how beautiful they all looked.

His comment made her blush. "Oh stop that, I don't look like a queen. I'm just a normal alicorn...flutter....well, whatever it is that I am." She made a funny face after realizing that she still had trouble figuring out what she really was.

He smiled at the mare. "You do look like a queen though." He thought about what she was. "You are a queen/alicorn/flutter." He nodded his head and smiled at the mare.

She chuckled, "Fine, I look like a queen and you look like a queen's knight." She smiled kindly at the sweet stallion. "Hey, you want to go exploring? I have an urge for that. There are still a lot of places I haven't seen yet."
