Q: How many members are in a herd?
A: Three or more. There is no maximum.

Triton's Herd: Currently the only herd, Triton's Herd is the main herd (and the biggest) for the merhorses. Triton himself looks over them and they live in a beautiful set of underwater caves off the Greek Isles. The Children of Triton's Herd are currently in the process of choosing new leadership while a band of members goes off to find a fabled land herd. All new flatsale/auction/raffle/custom/etc. pets are listed as members of Triton's Herd by default. Please contact the mule if you have permission to change your herd and wish to have Darkmoon list you as a member of that herd.

As the herds grow there becomes a need for new herds, and many strong members of the Children with leadership qualities choose to set out on their own and make new herds. Any adult merhorse can choose to set out on their own and create a new herd, but there are some rules:

1-You have to be actively roleplaying. Herds are for roleplaying purposes so this is important.
2-You need to have at least three members in a herd before it can get the okay. Herds need at least two leaders and at least one other member. They can either be all your pets or a mix.
3-You have to be willing to work with within the roleplay as to why you are leaving. If you can't come up with a reason, don't worry, Sunny will work with you to figure something out!
4-You may change your herd from open to closed at any time you wish. However, you must post here to let Sunny know to change your herds status.
5-If you are looking to join a herd other than the Triton Herd, please approach the herd leaders with respect both in and out of character, and please respect the members of a closed herd by not harassing them about opening it back up.
