So how many of you have it? What do you guys think of it? I think AMOLAD is one of the best albums they've come out with in a good while.

No, I can't say I liked it. They tried to make each song entirely too epic, the intros take too long building up to the climax, so that by the time it hits it you're already tired of the song. The only memorable songs have to be 'The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg' and 'For The Greater Good of God.' 'Different Worlds' is okay for a radio-friendly song, but this album just doesn't measure up to the rest of the albums. The rest of the songs are just dissapointing.
On second thought, if it weren't for the killer solos in 'The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg' I would hate that song as well, on account of an over long intro.

Ume Makoto I personally loved the new album. Theres not a song on there I don't like ^_^. Yeah I second that. You are right soul about them making the songs epic, but I dont have a problem with that. Their first album was made 26 years ago, and they are bound to have changed a bit by then. Their music has changed, but it is still definately still Maiden.

I quite enjoy the album myself. I personally believe it's the best one since Seventh Son of a Seventh Son was released in 1988. Bruce Dickinson has definitely grown into his more matured vocals, and with two previous albums using it, has certainly perfected it. "Different World" was a great way to start the album, and the song "These Colours Don't Run" is yet another song that stands out. Hell, the whole album stands out. What can I say?

This album is definitely Maiden. Unfortunately, when I say that, I mean it sounds like almost all those Maiden songs that I'm not keen on and always skip.

Nice to see ya Bryan wink
I really liked the new album, the style they went for really appealed to me and although I didn't like Out of the Shadows that much, I loved all the other songs. Just the whole darkness and negativity surrounding war just appealed to me and "These Colours Don't Run" makes me feel really proud, as if I've just been challenged to a fight and I am NOT going to back down. I just really liked the new album, it was one of my preferred Maiden styles. I also like the style they took with Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and The Number of the Beast alot 3nodding

That's one of the things i like about maiden. When you've just sat through a epic ride like; "The lonelyness of the long distance runner" you feel complete. And even though you like the whole song, you just can't hear it again for atleast a half hour. Maybe thats just me but those 3 min. songs most bands make just leave ya wanting more so you replay it 20 times in a row...
