Fall was settling in, Auri could feel it in her bones. It wasn't too cold yet, at least not for her, but she did enjoy the cooler air more then the warmer. She sat quietly on a not-so-comfortable bench at the park, a light and loose blue long-sleeved shirt graced her torso, accompanied with a long, grey velvet broomstick skirt. Perfect for this weather.

A light shone forth from somewhere beneath her hair, and only on closer inspection did it reveal to be her little sunshine Wethkin Cira, huddled beneath Auri's long blue, black and white locks. It was an odd color of hair for anyone, modeled strangely after a blue-jays' markings. While it wasn't -too- cold for Cira, it was a bit more chilly to her then to Auri. She didn't have the size and body heat that Auri did to keep her warm, added on to the fact that it just wasn't her season, literally.

"Y'know, Cira. People tend to warm up when they move around more. You'll just stay cold if you stay huddled up like that."

Cira merely cooed at her and huddled closer, and Auri shrugged her shoulders, abandoning the encouragement to get Cira to leave her place of warmth and safety to go play and explore.

((Albert's In-character's owner is Alphose, who's a guy. He's sorta conceited... xD))

Alphose strolled down the meandering cobblestone path that crossed the park, glancing back and forth in a rather nonchalant manner. He moved quietly along, appearing to be in deep thought, though whether if he was actually thinking of anything more important than how his new moustache looked, no one would know. Unconsciously the lanky young man fingered his tenounsly grown moustache, a habit he had picked up in recent days. A mild breeze blew past him, disturbing just slightly the perfectly groomed thin patch of brown hair resting atop his head. "Damn it..." he muttered, impatiently smoothing his hair back, "I knew I should have worn a hat today."

Not far behind him floated a small dot of whirling energy; a little blue dot to be exact. Eyeing his guardian curiously, the Wethkin floated cautiously along after Alphose at armslength. What a strange human... was Albert's general sentiment toward his guardian, for this Alphose was a strange creature alright, even seen from human eyes. Albert did not know why his guardian had cursed the wind; it was, to him, rather enjoyable actually. Albert felt one with the gentle breezes that had become more and more frequent in the recent days. He had often enjoyed letting it swirl about him, mingling just a bit with his own energies.

Though many were his curiosities, Albert never did voice them outloud. Neither Guardian nor wethkin was particular talkative, though with his intelligent eyes, Albert was quite the observer. And just at this moment, the Wethkin happened to look up, resuming his surveying of the park, and in his field of vision was a young women not far off. Albert glanced over to Alphose, who was still muttering a bit and struggling to reverse his hair into its previous pristeen position before the wind had had their fun, and waited for him to notice.

Fall was Kimi's favorite month. Lucky for her, her Wethkin, Nicco was a Wethkin of the fall and he enjoyed it too.

Kimi had recently started college and what with all the papers to write, homework to do, tests to study for, and languages to learn, Kimi was pooped. She hardly had time for herself anymore and was begining to feel upset. It was around this time that Nicco had a brilliant plan to get her out of the house and walk around in the park. He was in need of fresh air anyway. Also, the fact that it was fall motivated him to want to play more. He always felt more alive in the fall.

"Kimi, hurry up!" Nicco said huffily, floating a few feet infront of Kimi who was walking at a leisurely pace. "Geez, you old grandma!"

"See if I ever take you out again!" Kimi said, but she didn't mean it. She was actually enjoying herself and she could see that Nicco was too. "Besides, you're the one who was talking about savoring nature earlier!"

Nicco shot her a "Shut up, woman" look, but said nothing. He turned aroundin midair and floated over to her.

"Fine, I'll walk with you," he said. "Are you happy?"

"Quite."

Auri was happily oblivious to whatever was going on around her, she enjoyed Autumn immensely and had no problem staying out to enjoy the cool air. Of course, it did help that Cira put off a small amount of light heat that kept her neck warm, as much as her neck was keeping Cira warm. Either way, she let people come and go as they pleased without more then a first glance their way.

Cira, on the other hand, was bored, cold and looking around for anything to distract her from the cold. She shivered a little and turned her head to watch several people walking by. One was a man who seemed deep in though, and a little annoyed, she never did understand what people like that were always on about. But, a little tiny 'blob' floating a bit behind the man caught Cira's attention. Was that... another Wethkin? It didn't look familiar, but then again the only two that Cira had met were Toki and Regen. Gently she nudged Auri in the neck.

"Momma, Wethkin." Cira still didn't have a perfect grasp of the human English language, but she was beginning to get the hang of it.

"Hmm? Where?" Auri's grey eyes began scanning her surroundings, until she too caught sight of the man and his little companion. "Oh I see them. Do you want to go say hello?"

"Pease? Ca' we?" Cira tiny voice begged in response, and Auri couldn't resist. Hopefully this would be an opportunity to get Cira up and moving so she didn't get too cold.

"Alright, lets go say hello." She stood from the bench and made her way over, neither of them aware that there was yet a -third- Wethkin in the area. When they were only a few feet away, Auri waved warmly to the man and smiled. "Er, hello. I'm Auri and.. this is Cira." She gestured to the glowing light on her neck. "And we just noticed the two of you walking, so we thought we'd come say hello." She grimaced internally, she never was good at greeting people 'randomly'.

And Alphose just kept on walking, with his head down and chin tucked in, determined not to let the wind ruin his day. He was, therefore, completely and utterly oblivious of the girl that had now begun to approached, and, as Albert noted carefully and with curiosity, there was another one just like himself with this girl, except it was red in color. Albert was just about to alert his guardian to the approaching of the girl and the strange Wethkin, when, beating him to it, the girl spoke.

Alphose looked up immediately, with what most people would call a cautious look in his eyes. He wasn't approached by strangers much these days, not that he ever was; the disagreeable look that was habitually upon his face discouraged most would-be greeters. Though Alphonse had kept his head down today, and that might possibly explain why as to he now found himself frowning slightly, and staring into the face of a strange girl...

"Why, hello there miss," the young man made an effort to seem congenial. Alphose was aloof by nature, though he certainly was not rude. "How are you this pleasant afternoon?" He asked, bowing just a bit in Auri and Cira's direction.

In the meanwhile, the Wethkin that was Albert was hardly paying attention to his master anymore. He was, instead, concentrating his attention upon the floating blob of red energy that was Cira. Cira? a small echo rang through Albert's mind. Nope, he was sure he hadn't met her before... and that was not hard to establish, considering that he had met no other Wethkin since his relocation.

Albert blinked, and bobbed up and down playfully. "Hello there." He mumbled above a barely audible whisper, and nodded politely toward Cira's direction. Like master like child they say...

((sorry for the late response, busy weekend))

Kimi continued to walk at a leisurly pace, wrapped in a jacket. Nicco was floating above her head.

"Do that leaf trick again!" she said to him.

"Ok!"

The leaf trick was where he made himself look exactly like a falling leaf. It wasn't really a trick, so much as something he could innately do. He was, after all the Wethkin of Falling Leaves. However, being the show off that he was, he did it often and called it a trick.

"I'll never understand how you do that," Kimi said.

Nicco laughed mischeivously and floated over to her head and landed. He was a lazy Wethkin and would do this often.

"Hey lookit," he said, pointing. "I see people."

Kimi looked in the direction Nicco was pointing.

"Oh, look at that," she said. "Shall we go make friends?"

With sweater-clad arms wrapped around her stomach, Auri smiled to the man, Alphonse, and nodded her head gently in acknowledgment of his greeting. "I'm doing fairly well, it's a beautiful day out so we thought we'd come relax at the park. Though, I think it's a bit too cold for Cira." She shrugged her shoulders as if to say 'Eh, what can you do?' and smiled again. "What brings you two out?"

Cira practically mirrored Auri's smile, though hers was a bit more shy and reserved towards Albert. Slowly she floated over to him and bobbed gently in greeting. "Hi. M'Cira." She blinked those wide eyes of hers and bobbed again, excited to see another Wethkin besides her other two friends. At least this one hadn't grown without her too. "Name?" She still wasn't great with speaking, but she got by alright.

Both were still oblivious to the other keeper and Wethkin, so focused and excited they were to just see one set.

"Oh, we are just out for a little walk," Alphonse gestured toward Albert, who was now leaning slightly forward for a better look at the other Wethkin. "It is a rather nice day today," the young man spoke, doing his part to keep the conversation going, "though I can't say I'm too happy with how the wind is whipping around." Alphose gestured nonchalantly with his hand. He began pulling off the thin white gloves that protected his hands, and absent-mindedly stuffed them into his jacket pocket; they revealed pampered and pale hands, hands that rarely knew hard labor or the sun. "We haven't met before," Alphonse stated, and realizing that he had just stated the obvious, quickly added, "Do you come here often?"

"Albert", the Wethkin responded with a nod. "You are good?" He questioned with an accompanying tilt of his body. He wonder if Cira was also enjoying the playful breezes that was dancing around them. Albert was precocious for his age, already well acquainted with the human language, though at times he still felt alien and unable to express his thoughts. He always liked to speak in short and choppy sentences, prefering to communicate with his movements rather than speech. With his eyes still on Cira, Albert began swaying now back and forth, settling slowly into a comfortable rhythm.

Like Auri and Cira, Alphonse and Albert were also too enthralled in the moment to notice the other pair of Wethkin and guardian that was a way off, Alphonse because it was the gentlemanly thing to keep up the conversation, and Albert because he was genuinly fascinated with Cira.

"You're taking too long!" Nicco scolded. I'm going on ahead!"

"It'll take me, like what, 4 seconds to get there at the pace I'm going?" Kimi said.

"Four seconds too slow for me!" he said, and commenced in doing the leaf trick and floated over to the the people.

Nicco, being the mischeivous little Wethkin that he was, decided to play a little game. He chose the female human to mess with because the male human looked... well, he looked as if he wouldn't think the joke was funny. Nicco made sure he was exactly above her head, and then floated down like a leaf that had just fallen and landed exactly on the girl's face.

Not too far away, Kimi rolled her eyes.

"Showoff..."

"I've always enjoyed the wind, it.. has the taste of freedom and adventure on it. When it's not blowing trees down, of course." The woman grinned and shrugged her shoulders. She paused, allowing Alphonse to pose his question before she frowned lightly. "We used to come here alot, but Cira and I have been... too busy these past few months to really be able to get out much. But, now things have calmed down so we've started doing more things outside again. And.. I'm so sorry, but I don't think I asked your name?"

Another slight pause and Auri's nose wrinkled with a leaf seemed to fall down upon it. She appeared perplexed for a moment before she lifted up a hand to try to wave it away.

Cira unconciously began to follow Albert's movements with her own, a soft giggle breaking across her lips. It was relaxing, in an odd way, the rhythmic movement. "Cold." She muttered, her body giving a little shiver as if to emphasize this. She was a summer Wethkin, sunshine to be exact. The cold didn't always suit her well.

A look of surprise crossed Alphonse's face as he realized that he had forgotten to introduce himself. Where was his manners, really? I guess you sort of forget them after months of solitary life... "I'm Alphonse," he nodded, rather embarassed about the slip up. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Auri," Alphonse added as he extended a hand. A pleasure? Well, that's what they say, but he'll have to wait and see; so far the day hadn't gone half bad actually, and talking to someone, this Auri, hadn't been as painful as he would have imagined.

And just as he was about to go on with other chitter-chatter, a look of surprise, again, crossed his face, as a fallen autumn leaf sprinkled down Auri's face. Normal that would have been no cause for alarm, although today it was rather strange, as the leaf had popped out of nowhere, out of the clear blue sky you could say. "What...?" the man muttered, averting his eyes from Auri for a second to survey the surroundings. A barely discernable frown appeared upon his face as he registered another person strolling toward them. He looked on for a moment more, trying to decided whether or not he would call out a greeting. A busy day today...

Albert smiled as the soft giggles were emitted by Cira. He was feeling the same thrill as her, he imagine, but, well, Albert's not really the giggly type. So he just continued swaying, but this time, with a rather silly slime on his face. "Cold?" he questioned, for the first time noticing the patch of warmth that seemed to eminate from Cira. "You don't like wind?"

Nicco sniggered inwardly to himself and allowed himself to be swatted away. But of course, he floated down upon her head again. He knew he was interrupting a conversation, something which Kimi had told him many-a time was rude, but he couldnt help himself. He was a trouble maker.

Kimi saw what Nicco was doing and walked a little faster to reach them. He wasn't HURTING anyone, but she was sure he was being annoying. So it didn't credit a run. She was just as lazy as her Wethkin.

Another wrinkle of her nose and Auri swatted again, trying to figure out just what the heck was going on. Freak occurance? She wouldn't be surprised, and on Gaia this was an incredibly tame one. She stopped paying attention to Alphonse for a moment, but glad that she had picked up his name, while she focused on the 'leaf' that was currently assaulting her face. "Hey now, stop that." She muttered to the leaf, even though she knew whatever it was, leaf or not, probably wouldn't listen.

Cira shook her body lightly at Albert, in the same way that someone might shake their head before drooping lightly. "Like wind. Dun' like cold." She muttered, and shivered once more as if to give an example. Suddenly she missed Auri's warm neck. She turned to go hide in it, before noticing the leaf and blinking lightly. "Taa?"

A look that was a cross between amusement and annoyance crept upon Alphonse' face as he watched Auri swat away at the leaf that now seemed to have a life of its own. He would help, he really would, but it would be rather rude of him to join in on the swatting. That, and imaging how silly he would look himself stopped him from taking action. Alphonse watched on, and hoped that the problem, whatever it was, was small enough for Auri to handle alone.

The other Alphonse had observed earlier was now hurring toward him. He decided not to call out after all, and waited patiently for her to approach before nodding slightly in her direction.

Albert nodded after Cira's comment. "Good!" He was glad that wind did not both the other Wethkin; if it did, then their visit probably wouldn't be lasting very long. Directing his attention toward where Cira was looking, Albert also noticed the peculiar leaf that was now playing a game with Cira's human. "What that?" he questioned, leaning slightly for a closer look.

"Niccoooooooo," Kimi called out when she was close enough to the two who were being bothered. "Cut it ooooooooout!"

"Noooo!" shouted the leaf. "You're ruining my game!"

A talking leaf? WHAT?

Kimi finally got to where the two people were and she panted (she was out of shape): "Was... Nicco bothering... you?"
