I have a confession to make.

I am a first year college student ( 18 )...and I realized something...

Ever since my 8th Grade year...i have put on a mask...I have hid my true self.

BUT NO LONGER!

Yeah, it creeps my family out, but i realize i'm 'goth' at heart. If you will. Rather...I am simply dark at heart.

smile I'm happy with who I am, no matter what anyone has to say about it. And yes, I go to a Private Christian College, but I dont' care what anyone has to say. I'm me!

I want to appologize to the community for hiding my true self. I may not need to, but I feel that for that period of time I failed you. I will make it up to the gothic community though! I promise! smile

My friends realize that it is the true me though, so they've accepted me. ^_^ ::ish happy::

i like that phrase smile mind if i steal it?

and congrats to the OP....as someone who came out of the closet twice (once for paganism and once for bisexuality.....it's very liberating to be who you are suppost to be

coffin would be more fitting and i remeber when i just couldn't take the fake,preppy,trying to be popular thing..yea..went strait from prep to goth..trying to form yourself to what the opular society is giving up you individuality..and thats not good

I know how difficult it is when you're trying to deny your heart and hide your soul... it is most certainly not a good way to live your life. sad

I never really 'came out of the coffin', but more or less gradually found my way in the world.
