Am I? Do gamerpoints really matter? I feel so inferior with my 920 points when everyone else has 1100 at least. I haven't gotten live up but will soon (Supposely it take microsoft two months to put two papers in a letter and mail it back to me rolleyes ) But I don't want people thinking I'm a complete noob. I only own 2 games and 1 arcade game and I may be able to get 1000 points with all 3 that are achievable achievements for me. Am I just fairly new to 360s or do I just fail at life? It makes me feel a bit better when I see people have 6000/24000 points though.

Points do not matter.... well somewhat. I own but one game for my 360, Dead Rising. After I beat the game I used the achievements as a goal to make playing the game more enjoyable. Beyond that, I really don't care.

Yeah, they're replay value to me as well.
Mostly for Dead Rising and Saint's Row. All the rest are just from playing normally.

Gamerpoints don't matter. But I still try to get achievements, just for self accomplishment, not so much to beat others. People I know rent games solely to get gamerpoints. =(

Well, at least compare it to me.
I played about 17 games since March '06, and my gamerscore is 20% of what it could be.
I'm not rushing to get my score up anytime soon. But I have to admit, getting that "Achievement Unlocked" notice is like sweet music to my ears.

No one is a disgrace for not getting points. It just means you're a casual gamer compared to those of us who are damned crazy and spend 10 hours just to get a single 50 point achievement.
And yes, I rent games to get Achievements. Why? Because I love collecting s**t. Coins, cards, bottles, Pokemon, Achievements, etc. Just because you don't have Achievements it does not mean you're not a good gamer.

That, and all the games I have have hard acheivements (Except Kameo and Oblivion) that require mad skillz that I don't have (IGetting some of the higher stuff in PGR3 and PDZ is too hard =( ).

That stuff pales in comparison to Burnout Revenge. The ******** multiplayer achievements are easier than the single player ones. And in both groups, some are near-impossible. You'll die of old age before you get the True Elite and Celebrity Status achievements.
