The mists of early morning curled around the large stormy paws of the great beast, half shielding the walking shadow amongst the fog of a new day. He was a ghost among the abyss of transparent white, the golden spikes among the storm of his coat barely even noticed through the veil. His form was larger than many that littered the area, built strong with a curtain of muscles rippling beneath the flesh of his furred bodice. Yet, those eyes told of a younger age, even primed to ways of battle and strength as they were. He was an unusual creature of his race - and yet, a magestic beast all at the same time.

It had been during the days of his childhood that his paws had last graced these lands, days filled with a confusion of memory and the mystery of a creature that was so polar opposite from anything he knew of himself that she stuck out like sore thumb amongst the vault of his mind. He knew, deep down, that she was someone of some importance - but the months and days of Stray's training had left his mind with a dim memory of the times between the massacre and his introduction to the traveling world of his new family.

Across the lands he had been, seeking, learning, fighting - many things accomplished by such a young age. No matter where the pack had lead him, his mind strayed constantly to the wolf he knew to go by the name of Kin. How long he had spent with her was unknown to him, and how close they had been was yet another, but here he was - trying to find a ghost in his past.

She was curled up in a ball like she usually was from early puphood. From the time she had begun to break the shell she had so much had been accustomed too, it was instantly reinstated at the disappearance of the one she had come to befriend, her protector. Hazel eyes shut as questions raced through hier mind. Where had Bados gone? Why didn't he invite her to go with him! They were family!

The sounds of footsteps barely registered in her mind, as did the scent of the familiar body. It seemed so long ago since he had disappeared. Did she even remember his scent? Did she even remember his looks?

A certain degree of surprise jumped into the depths of those dual lime optics, surprise that he had even found the temporary home of his childhood. He had, though, known in the general direction to which he should head - and then he had smelt the familiar scent of granite and dirt, mixed with the caked on scent of the wolf that travelled the path to and from the den quite regularly.

As he peered past the overgrown brush of the cave mouth, his eyes perked at the sight - a young female, pink of color, curled into a ball so tightly that he could barely tell her head from her feet. He took a deep breath, tail flickering slowly behind him as a tell tale sign of his sudden unnerve. His body did not tense, but neither did it relax, he just remained as he was - a large wolf, a size of which could scare any soul.

"You're still here," came his quiet words, spoken softly, but with a deepness he had never carried as a pup. It was not so much lyrical as it was wise, a gentle voice that told of hidden strength, of mysteries held deep within himself. The mere sight of her had been enough to flood his mind with tales of their time together, and he couldn't help the smile that twitched the corner of his maw.

An ear flicked as a nose twitched when the male stopped just before her. Swiveling the hearing limb towards teh sound of the deep voice, the female began to curl tightly around herself again. Who was this? Should she dare look up to see a face of a potential harmful character? Why did it matter if she was still here, what was this one talking about?

It took moments to register that this newcomer wasn't going to hurt her, and that was when she was able to peek up at the other. Large...grey...yellow? Familiar yet...so not. Could it possible be? Kin's tail slid between her two hind legs as her head lower to between her shoulders. Then, a short meek whisper left her maw.

"Bados?"

Barbados smiled weakly at the young adult before him, staring down at the bodice she still curled in around herself, the way she hardly moved her tiny frame at all. He could remember her the last day he saw her, full of life, full of energy, but now she seemed less of an independent soul than she had been that day they had met - a day that seemed so very long ago.

"Yes, Kin, I'm home," he muttered, unable to pinpoint why it hurt to see her this way. She had always been his family during those months, his only family, and when he had left (he no longer really remembered the terms on which he had actually been taken, it was now in his mind that he had gone almost willingly) he had always thought she'd be better off without the danger of his existence. Maybe he was wrong.

He moved forward slowly, leaning down almost as if he might nuzzle her, but pulled himself back with a sigh, "I never meant to leave you alone like this." Guilt had not been part of his heart for a very long time..

At his words, hazel eyes glanced towards the ground. Only little sentence seemed to escape her maw. A soft spoken, barely audible "...Why did you then?" She sighed mentally, wanting the last few months to be forgotten, and having Bados at her side again. Or...perhaps the last months needed to stay here, and Bados should've never come across her again. Either way, she wouldn't have seem him, or wouldn't have worried about him. Kinny hated worrying, especially about those she cared about.

The fragile little teen uncurled herself, standing shakily on her paws. Her tail continued to stay inbetween her legs, as her chin almost laid on the ground. She just watched him though, almost frightend at his appearance.
