Obie sat out on the quad, wishing she had brought a coat with her. The sun was warm, but the fall wind was really quite chilly and blowing crazily. Running a hand through her still entirely too short hair, she sighed and glanced around for Ra. His class should have ended by now. Glancing down at her watch, she chewed on the inside of her lip and stood up to start heading in the direction of the building he would be coming from. Maybe she would meet him halfway.

Ra had gotten held up by one of his classmates.
Sylvia Westwood, a girl who had pretty much decided to take medicine to meet potentialy rich guys. Not that Ra or anyone else in the class knew this.
"So could you explain this one to me?" She asked sweetly, looking up at him with her big eyes whilst she flipped her light brown hair over her shoulder. Not a bad catch for the day, tall, attractive and she could tell there was a good body under that thick sweater.
Being the amiable guy he was Ra stopped to help her, sitting on the wall next to the bench and starting to explain the comlexities of what they had just learnt.

Obie stopped as she rounded a corner and saw Ra leaning over a girl's shoulder. Not that there was anything wrong with that, she just didn't like the girl's body language. Watching them for a few minutes, she brushed some dark hair out of her eyes and walked over, stopping next to Ra.
"Hey," she said to get his attention, her eyes sweeping over the other girl before she looked back at him. "I thought you were going to meet me in the quad."

"Hey." Ra said looking up with a smile. "I was just on my way. Sylvia asked me for some help." He turned to smile at Sylivia and got his pen from his bag.
"Sylvia, this is my girlfriend, Obsidian." He smiled correcting her diagram.
Sylvia heard the g word and looked up with a hint of irritation.
"Nice to meet you." She said nonchalently in her Southern belle Georgia accent. Turning her eyes to the prize she smiled sweetly to Ra and leaned closer to see what he was doing.
"Oh, see you explain it much easier." She laughed not really paying too much attention to what the hell he was telling her.

Obie smiled at Ra's explanation and looked back down at the girl, arching a brow slightly at her reaction to his introductions.
"Nice to meet you too," Obie replied flatly, narrowing her eyes slightly as the girl turned a flirty smile up to Ra. Hello... his girlfriend is standing right here, she thought as she leaned against the wall that Ra was perched on. He may be completely oblivious, but she sure as hell wasn't. She had spent too many years around Isabel to not see what was happening. She watched and listened to him for a moment then gave her head a small shake.
"Actually love, that's wrong," she cut in, reaching out to take the pen from him and making her own corrections, having taken the class already. "Though you were close," she said, looking up at him and then at the girl, giving her a warning look to back off.

Ra looked down at her correction and nodded.
"Ah, see I'm not the best person to be asking about this." He smirked to Sylvia as he watched Obie correct the paper.
"Thanks azizam." He smiled to Obie handing the paper back to Sylvia.
Sylvia glared at the girl.
Who the hell did this nothing think she was? She had taken on tougher girls.
"So Ra..." She started as she slipped the paper back in her bag. "Do you want to be study partners for the essay. What with us being on the same level and all." She said with a glare for Obie whom she guessed must be the year above.

Obie smiled again at Ra as he thanked her and then looked back at the girl, arching a brow with a small smirk at her glare. Did she honestly think she was just going to sit back and let her openly flirt with her boyfriend? Sighing a bit, she swept her hair back out of her eyes and glanced around as the girl addressed him again. At her comment about being on the same level, Obie smirked again and turned her eyes back to meet her glare.
"He's already got a study partner," she half lied as he knew that she would gladly help him if he needed it. "So you can go bat your eyelashes at someone else," she said frostily. She did have to give the girl some credit for having balls, but mostly for having no shame. It was really quite pathetic and irritating.

Ra looked at Obie in confusion as she went off at the girl. Sure she had been a bit much, but all she wanted was some help.
Sylvia gave Obie a nasty look and stood.
"Bye Ra." She said her smile returning. "Well, if you need someone other than ice queen here to work with you know where to find me." With a wink she was gone, her shiney hair bouncing behind her.
Ra frowned at her words and watched her as she stalked off.
"What the hell was that all about?" He asked turning back to Obie. "Wht was she so mean to you?"

Obie actually pushed herself away from the wall and took a step towards the girl then stopped as she flounced off. She was beyond irritated now. Turning back to face him at his -incredibly- stupid question, Obie glared as she eyed him for a moment.
"Are you serious?" she finally asked simply, putting her hands on her hips. "Are you seriously going to ask me that?" she demanded.

Ra looked at her and swung his bag on his shoulder.
"No. I just don't get why girls have to be such bitches. As if I was going to take her up on the offer." He said shoving his hands into his pockets and starting to walk back towards the quad.

Obie glared at his back for a moment and slowly started after him. Wrapping her arms tightly around herself, both out of anger and cold, she fell into step by his side. Of all the bloody guys in that stupid class, she -had- to single out her boyfriend.
"I don't know Rashne, you didn't exactly seem too aware of what was going on," she said with a bit of an edge in her voice as she looked out and away from him.

"Yeah, I wasn't. So go on, tell me how stupid I am." He sighed as they walked. All he did was help the girl. O.k so he actually hadn't realised that she was being a little flirty until Obie had walked up. But that was only because he wasn't really paying much attention to her.

Obie turned her eyes back to him, irritation melting quickly into anger. She couldn't believe how quickly he was brushing her off.
"Fine," she said, arching a brow. "You're a bloody blind idiot who sometimes makes me wonder how truly innocent your intentions are. You always take the moral high road, but that doesn't mean you aren't tempted to dip into the gutter," she said, turning sharply away from him to start towards the dorms. She was too cold and worked up to deal with this right now.

"Shut up." he said as she started going off on one. He really was not going to have this argument just because she was feeling like one. He had thought that Obie was different. "Just shut the ******** up." He muttered kicking a stone and watching her as she decided to storm off.

Obie stopped and turned back to him at his words.
"Where the hell do you get off telling me to shut up?" she said, walking back towards him and stopping a few feet away.
"Welcome to psych 101 Rashne. Telling someone to shut the ******** up just means that they've said something that's a truth you don't want to deal with. So I suggest you say something a little more useful to help you win your case," she said, glaring angrily up at him.
