This.. even i find incredibly hard to believe but it's true! Ok since there's alot of Americans here i'll explain first.

There's a Doctor Who trading card game called "Battles in Time" and with every 1000 issues (its a proximity sorta like shiny pokemon) there's a "Golden Ticket" card (Willy Wonka =D) which is the most godlike card to have ever existed in any TCG. It's called "Super Rose!" (Lol approved) and holy hell have you SEEN how much they're going for on ebay! Look how much this one went for: click!

Now for a peice of card thats a bit dramatic. And people are STILL buying them for that much! Some were going for £150-£190 earlier this week!

Not only that it's just a card, it's a Rose card, aswell.

O_o and I thought people who payed 20$'s for a TC were crazy. Thats insane, I never knew there was a DW TCG thank's, no sorry not insane worse than insane.

I'd never pay that much money for a Super Rose card. A Super Zoe, maybe...

Has anyone actually played this game? Is it any good?

Surely they could just subscribe to the comic? It would be cheaper. And you can order all the back issues anyway.

Yeah, but your odds of getting a Super Rose out of a single issue is only 1:1000. So you'd have to buy a lot of the comic in order to guarantee getting the silly thing. Probably cheaper to pay the £150-£190, as insane as it sounds...

It seems crazy, but then you've got people paying real money for digital weapons and stuff in online games like Ragnarok (or whatever). Not much different, if you ask me. And at least with Super Rose, you get the cheesy card...

Apparently the guy who bought it said it's better than paying £1500 which is the total of 1000 packets of cards.

And no it's not a very good TCG, the cards are just humerous things and it's a rip off of Top Trumps. Even though there are Doctor Who TT cards.

Heh, at least it's not like Magic: The Gathering. Then again, that game isn't the big deal like it used to be. Everyone is into VS... At least in Minnesota.
