i was seriously disappointed when i saw rock lee lose to gaara...but then i got to thinking...
Remember when everyone said gaara had never been hurt before? if that's true, he's never felt pain then.
Now, if gaara has never felt pain before, that means the pain will hurt even more.
Rock lee upped his strength AND speed to the maximum levels when he used the hidden lotus...
now, rock lee was hitting gaara like, 1000 times a second(when he opened the 5 chakra gates). So, if gaara has never felt pain before, all those 1000's of hits rock lee was giving him should have hurt even MORE. ya get what i'm saying now? discuss i guess...

true but Gaara had umm i forgot what it's called he had a layer of sand over his skin.

Yeah, Lee moved really fast and Gaara's sand couldn't keep up. Also, he hit him so hard that the sand that was covering his whole body crumbled. I think Lee should hav won aswell.

The only thing is is that the sand cusioned all the blows and the falls so Gaara was never actually hit.Lee just thought he was hitting Gaara.
(I also have something else I want to say but that would ruin it for those watching it in english rofl )

Only one hit actually got through and 'hurt' Gaara enough to make him bleed. The sand armor was cushioning the other blows so they didn't actually seem to do much. Lee didn't so much 'get around it' as he did just keep hitting it to weaken it. But Gaara found a way around that by using a sand substitution type jutsu and replacing himself with that after the first hidden lotus. The second time he was cushioned by his gourd turning to sand. And technically Lee was unconcious when he got up again, so I think it's only right to have declared Gaara the winner. Might not seem fair, but it follows the rules that are in place, doesn't it?
Though I havn't seen this episodes for a while, so I might have mistaken something or whatnot.
I do admit that Lee fought rather well. I doubt anyone else could have done as much against Gaara without knowing more about him.

true..lee shud've won
but it looked like gaara wasn't at his best of his ability
lee however. used his best technique and yet he wasnt strong enough to last thorughout the battle heart heart wahmbulance

evern if his thing on his back turned to sand to coushin his blow lees 5 gates hidden lotus should still kill him or knock him out.it was a small layer of sand under him so that should coushin most of the blow

gaara wins you see those hit were regular hits and gaaras sand armor blocked then then the final hit al of his sand saved him
