Kurt Godel, I'm sure some of you have heard of his incompleteness theroems, but this is about another thing he's done in his life. In 1940 he demonstrated the existence of paradoxical solutions to Albert Einstein's field equations in general relativity, involving rotating universes. These "rotating universes" would allow time travel and caused Einstein to have doubts about his own theory. Now as far as I know these solution haven't gotten much attention, and would compeletly throw away our origional ideas of what General Relativity explained. I'm trying to find the actual solutions, but for now discuss how this could be possible and why hasn't it had much attention?

EDIT: Heres a link to the solution that I'm talking about solution

According to the Wiki, Gödel's solution does not describe an expanding universe. Given that we have observed the universe to expand, Gödel's solution would appear to be a curiosity, but not a physical description of the universe.
