Celendria listened to the wind as the coming winter followed closely behind fall as she parted ways. Days of frost were decending as was the song of the winter's guise that she so sadly missed. Walking slowly she listened to the wind, excitement lingered like a wisp of proud parents and joyous times of preparation. How she missed her mate and sons dearly walking among the quiet valley.

Ohh snap. Was that a familiar scent he smelled? Something like comfort, something like shelter... something like... -"Mother?" Crap. Oh, what a bad time for him to run into her. Still, it would be best if he squared his shoulders and confronted her. Kohana felt a twinge of guilt at the thought of how he had avoided even her in this last season. He walked towards Celendria, somewhat loathe to face the (potential) wrath of his mom.

Her head turned slowly capturing the rippling muscles tinted in golden blue hues which she recognized well. Kohana- Where had he been all this time she wondered letting teal orbs rest lightly upon him. Her disposistion serene, like falling snow upon the ground. A river of silver while cascading like frozen falls, tumbling silken over her shoulders.
She paused for a moment with only breaths upon the wind somber and calm before she finally spoke, "Ages that travel with the seasons come full turn to present themselves once more. For the winter calls to us like a lost child roaming the land."
Her words like a daze spoke yet listened to the wind as it blew by. Only when the wind did cease had she become more coherent to her son before her. "Kohana. My son how have you fared on your own?"

How do you respond to that sort of greeting? Kohana had nowhere near the depth of his mother who, aside from being one of the more beautiful mares around (in his humble opinion), was also deeply intune with the world around her. Perhaps it was her calm, steady nature that had made him rebel so much. "Mother. I've been well." He tried to think of how to break the news to her, shifting from one foot to the other uncomfortably.

Her eyes never wavered yet she felt a sense of complication from the way her son was reacting. Something was purely amiss by the senses she was intaking from his strange behavior. Could something be hidden deep within that strong fiestiness he always carried? She paused with a smile remembering the first encounter with Chepi, which in Kohana's eyes was like nearing the demons hidden in the ground. Snorting with ears pulled back he looked like vicious little creature threatening Chepi never to touch him. Celendria seen no harn in the tew o-leggers but her son seen them overall in a different light.
But no, that couldn't be it she finally concluded.
"Kohana. What seems to change the wintery wind about you? Are you encountering some sort of complication you're unsure about?" she queried standing as still as a statue shining with her blue escence.

It wouldn't kill him to be straightforward just this once, would it? Hell, she was his mother, and she deserved to know that she was going to have little blue grandchildren running about eventually. "Mother, I'm going to be a father." Oh God. There, he'd said it. The stallion retreated back behind the slightly unconcerned feral air that had served him so well over the passing months. He needed to shape up for his future foals, but for this moment, he also needed to keep his calm in from of Celendria.

She didn't breathe hearing those words as they entered her mind and thoughts. Her bloodline was soon to move on as would her mate's in due time. Her thoughts flickered to Safi wondering what he was doing, and if the same occurance repeated in siblings. Still a bit speechless her eyes like cold ice bore into his , yet gentle and understanding.
"Indeed as seasons pass so do our youth grow and depart. It makes my heart fill with joy knowing another generation sdhall live and grow in the depths of my wintery home." she responded with a soft smile warming her expression as the icy stare melted fully.
