One of my favourite Death Metal bands. I love how they use jazz elements in their music and all the musicians are very talented. The only album I have, sadly, is Unquestionable Presence... Tony Choy did a good job taking over Roger's Bass lines, but he is not Roger, nor will he ever be.

Atheist are one of my favourite bands, besides Cynic. Just about everything about them, instrumentals, vocals, lyrics, are awesome. Since their albums were all remastered and rereleased not too long ago, there is no excuse, you unwashed masses, to get them all!
Hmmmh, Shade, if you like 'Unquestionable Presence' a lot, prepare to be a little disappointed by 'Elements'. Whilst not a bad album by any stretch, it lacks the chaotic precision of UP, trading it for somewhat catchier mid tempo grooves. Still good though, I think 'Water' is one of my favourites Atheist songs.
It should go without saying that you must, must, must get 'Piece of Time'. 3nodding

I'm surprised (and somewhat saddened) this thread isn't a lot more popular than it is. People, familiarise yourself with Atheist! Buy 'Unquestionable Presence'! DO EEET NOW!
Seriously people, if you want an education in metal, you've got to try certain bands! Atheist is one of these bands.
