The Jedi Temple
 The central Temple Spire rises a kilometer above the surrounding cityscape, and is surrounded by four individual Council towers. All five towers are supported by the main building, which sunk its roots deep into Coruscant's crust. The ziggurat shape of the main building, coupled with the five spires, is meant to symbolize a Padawan's path to enlightment through the Force. It is also meant to focus the energies of the Force, allowing those within to have a near-continual connection to the mystical energy field. There were several contemplation stations located on each of the four smaller towers, where a Jedi could go be alone with their thoughts. Each of the four towers face one of the ordinal directions, and they bristled with antennae and sensors that provided the Jedi with continual information from across the galaxy. Many Jedi historians wondered at the placement of the Temple on Coruscant, where all native life had been swept from the planet by the millennia-long urbanization, and yet more than a trillion beings lived out their lifes.

Rankings and Promotions Explained
This post is to help all Jedi help understand their role in the Jedi Temple, as well as guildlines to help on promotions. At this point, I would to stress the time it takes to get promoted, especially to Knight level. Training as a Jedi takes many years, so please do not complain if you do not get promoted in this RP. You will eventually.
Initiate: This is probably the shortest of all ranks. Initiates are taught the basic skills of a Jedi, as well as being granted a single training lightsaber. This lightsaber does very little damage and cannot give much more than a little "zap" to an opponent. At this rank, you are not expected to go on missions.
Padawan: In contrast to Initiate, this is certainly the longest of all the ranks. Though you can be promoted to a Padawan once you have completed your basic training, you cannot advance anymore without a master to train you. This may take a while. Once you have a master, you will begin your advanced Jedi training. With your master's permission, you will be allowed to craft a single lightsaber, as well as expected to run dangerous mission, accompanied by your master of course.
Knight: Now a fully fledged Jedi, a Knight as mastered their advanced training and now trusted with the task of training another. However, it is encouraged that Knights to do not take a Padawan straight way until they are used to their rank. They are also expected now to run missions solo. They are still limited to the use of a single lightsaber, however they can craft a new one instead of the one they used at Padawan. Knights continue to learn about the Force from the Jedi archieves to furthur advance their knowledge and skills.
Guardian: These are one of the most elite Jedi in the temple. Their skills with the Force and a lightsaber are almost unmatchable. At this rank, Jedi can ask the Jedi Council to further increase their skills with a lightsaber by learning a new style, either Dual Lightsabers or Doublebladed Lightsaber. However, it is encouraged that Jedi stick to a single lightsaber, as the other styles are much more aggressive and, if learned, should only be used in the most extreme circumstances.
Master: These are the best and the most wise Jedi in the whole Jedi Temple. They sit on the Jedi Council and discuss the best actions for the Jedi to take when aiding the Repubic, as well as advising the Republic on contraversial decisions. These are the only Jedi that can decide when they think other Jedi are ready for promotion, and any choice made by a Jedi Master should be respected by all the other Jedi. Masters are still expected to take missions, but rarely take a Padawan, as they are often growing old in life. Very few Jedi ever make it to Jedi Master.

Rules
1. Please stick to Gaia's ToS. Though this may be obvious, occasionally some members do forget. Anyone you see breaking the ToS, please report to a Guild Moderator, not to a Gaia Moderator.
2. Another obvious rule, but please stick to the Guild rules too. They can be found in the stickies.
3. There are to be NO NPC Jedi. As Jedi/Dark Jedi are generally the most popular choices for characters, we should have enough people to make up the Jedi numbers. You can have NPC Jedi in your character history, but they cannot be used in the actual RP.
4. RP in this thread may be slow. Do not spam the thread, or any other thread, up if no one replies straight away. Someone should eventually interact with you. If not, then you interact with someone, but make sure you are not interfering them during something important.
5. Another obvious, but often overlooked rule. Initates and Padawans cannot train or teach another student. They are free to train with them, but they cannot teach each other, that is their master's job. This also applies to other Jedi. You cannot teach another's Padawan. That, again, is their job, not yours.

It was early in the morning, the sun had only just risen, but the streets of Coruscant was already packed with people setting up the decorations for the upcoming festival. Sephiroth sat on the steps of the Jedi Temple, watching the people prepare. For the first time in many years, Sephiroth felt that the Jedi would finally be able to furfill their true role in the New-Republic, especially once the temple was finally opened at the main event of the celebration.

*He walks threw the hallways, thinking of all the years that this building was closed. Al the knowledge that might be still inside. The event that leed to the closing of that temple, too many years ago and the reopening now. What a joy. This day was event more special for him. It was first time he was seen in public has a Knight. It was just two days before the reopening that the masters gave him the title. This last year, he had constructed his new lightsaber, with a cristal from Ruusan. It color was a dark blue tone. He continued walking threw the ways uop to the front door where the event was celebrating.*

Sephiroth looked to the man who had just approached him. He was very cinfused by what the man had said, but all Sephiroth could do was shake his head disappointingly. It was not within his power to grant such access.
I am sorry, but no one is allowed to enter the Jedi Temple right now, not even a Jedi. We have to wait until the New-Republic declares it open. Perhaps you could try one of Coruscant's many medical centers....
Sephiroth could do nothing else. He ws just as eagar as anyone to get into the Jedi Temple and being their work, but he had to wait just a little longer.

Sephiroth shook his head sadly, looking away from the man.
The past few years have been horrific for the Jedi. Though we have aided the New-Republic, we still have to show the citizens that we are worthy to be back, as mnay are still sceptical of us. By entering now, it make put at risk all that we have done.
Sephiroth stood up and straightened his robes, then turned to the man, smiling slightly.
If you can wait until the New-Republic leader shows up, I'll ask if special arragements can be made. Until that time, nothing else can be done. I am sorry.
Sephiroth looked back out at the streets. More people were gradually showing up for the festival, but it would still be many hours before the Temple would be re-opened.

Sephiroth was slowing becoming frustrated. He looked Kack directly in the eyes, the spoke, raising his voice slightly.
And does the well-being of the New-Republic mean nothing to you? You'd risk getting the Jedi expelled again? You'd rather put at risk the lives of many, simply to save one life? Well then, as I said, you'll have to wait.
Sephiroth turned and took several steps away from Zack and took up his spot back on the steps of the Jedi Temple.

Kyle had come back from his latest mission on Tatoonie. He promised himself that that last mission would be his last, and with that, he wanted to become a real Jedi, though he seems to be a bit old. He wondered, no he was hoping that though he is old, that what he learned from his uncle would be good enough to make him at least a Jedi Knight, if not that, a padawan.
As he walked up the stairs of the Jedi Temple, he sees that the doors were still closed.
"Oh that's right, they're waiting until the Republic say that it's open. Darn.." He said as he turned around and went back down the stairs and into the streets.
He was not in his usual attire of a dark cloak and scarf. He was wearing what seemed to be regular clothes.
As he walked, he sensed someone was watching him. He turned around, but no one was there. He shook it off and continued to walk back to his hotel.
