How do you remove eye putty? My boy Shoji has it and I wanted to remove it. Everytime I try though it ends up like rolling into small pieces and I just want to pull the whole thing off. So I was wondering how you remove it and if it works without fail everytime,

Seeing as the only type of putty I've dealt with was luts brand, all I did was pull it away without a problem. What kind of stuff are you dealing with? confused

Hmm, well my best bet is to say just completely get it out of the dolls head. And then replace it with something like super sculpy. Thats what I use to keep in Ko's eyes and it works like a charm.

Thanks I'll try that. Now if Shoji would just sit still and not squirm.
Shoji: EEEE get away from me mad woman!
Me: Sit still emo kid.
Shoji: ::runs under bed:: Now you can't get me!
Me: ::Sigh:: Why must you make me deal with this?

Buy the Luts one. It's better. Keep the pack in an air tight container and don't over kneed (sp?) the putty as this drys it out.

I actually use Kneaded erasers in my doll's heads. They work fabulous, but you need to knead them till them are warm and soft first....it might take a couple tries to get it positioned correctly, but it stays and stays!
I know alot of people use Super Sculpey, but it can actually leave staining(oily looking splotch...leave a piece sit on a sheet of absorbant paper for a day...disturbing that people put that in a doll's head) on the head after an extended time.

Yep, kneeded erasers are awesome. Easy to obtain, super cheap, sticks good, comes out in one nice piece, never dries out, leaves no residue. Most awesome eye putty never intended for such a use. 3nodding

I wouldn't think that using super sculpy would be a big deal, even though I know it's a bit oily. It can't be all that bad because tons of people use it. I don't know anything from experience as Luts comes with a nice kind of putty that stays in one piece and has been with me since the beginning.
