Bobby didn't want to wake up... but the hunger pains were getting worse and interrupting her dreams. The woman woke up, worse for wear she got to her feet -hooves. Swaying, she needed to grab a branch to stay upright.... but she couldn't grasp anymore....
She went over, over... down, down, down.... thunk. Her hooved hand made contact with the tree's trunk. Bobby took a deep sigh. When she released her breath, a deep-throated grunt echoed through the woods. After, though...a different sound echoed. Mumbling, the pig poked her own bulging stomach with a hoof, "Hush up, down there... I'm going, I'm going."
Bobby could have stayed in the woods, in her little make-shift house, but she need food.... and yesterday. Probably more than the forest could provide. So, she made her way to the cafeteria. Single-mindedly, the pig walked. She was incredibly unbalanced, using every passing tree -and later building- as a brace. Stupid legs, stupid feet... stupid Island!
Many swears came from her mouth, whenever berries or mushrooms weren't occupying it of course.
Finally, Bobby made it.... and rightly ate everything at the buffet. Her stomach finally relented, it was happy -for now. It gave her new energy. The pig was back on her way to her duplex when she saw the note for the first time.
A Halloween party? And costumes? Well, she'd have to find Pyroth! At her house, they always went all-out. She couldn't do that here... but she could at least have some Halloween fun! Now... to find that handsome coyote!
Bobby smiled, it had been awhile since she last saw him....
But Pyroth wasn't at his duplex, and Bobby's now ultra-sensitive nose told her he hadn't been for awhile. That probably meant he was in the jungle, so she'd have to go find him. The pig smirked a bit to herself, tusks flashing, she was just a Grade-A bloodhound now!

Pyroth had forgotten.
That was not to say he had forgotten his past or what he was, it was just that, for now, most of those things had been gently placed aside in favour of instinct and other things that helped to sustain him out here. He hadn't been back to the village in weeks, living out here on what he could catch and going hungry when he didn't catch anything.
He slunk through the undergrowth, in his element, tail swishing at his feet, every now and then pausing to test the air with his nose, picking up the faintest of scents, readable if he looked hard enough.
There was one scent out of place. It made him freeze and perk his ears, damn it was familiar, and just scenting it made the instinct ebb away replaced with sheer joy at finding something that he'd been missing all this time and had never noticed.
He bounded towards the scent of Bobby, ignorant of the difference in his current shape to when he last saw her.

Bobby was not 'sneaking' very well. Anything in her way was trompled without thought. She simply didn't care...
A sound in the brush caught her attention, but only for a moment. She figured after a moment that it was indeed just her. Then, a faint smell wafted toward her. Did she know it? Instantly the pig stopped and looked around. Was it? Was he? Sniffing the air harder, a few piggish grunts erupted from nose.

Pyroth didn't even pause to assess the danger as he'd normally have done, instead he charged from the underbrush to skid to a halt at Bobby's feet, tail wagging happily. He didn't even notice how different she appeared, her scent hadn't changed /excessively/ so to him it was all the same.
"Bobby!" he called out with a grin. "It's been too long"

Bobby had jumped when the coyote broke out of the brush. Good thing there was a tree trunk there to stop her from falling over. The pig watched, and a broad grin opened up on her face. She noticed Pyroth's changes... though they /had/ been expecting it. Did he look even more cuter now?
The pig chuckled, "Mah PUPPY!"
She bent over to tickle the coyote's chin, but instead fell over -and on top- of him. "Eee-oops!" Bobby smirked, a sparkle in her eyes, "I guess I just couldn't wait...." She tried not to squish him under her massive body.

Pyroth was already thrown off balance by the shift from instinctual thoughts to nice, logical human ones, so could only grin happily for a few moments at finding such a dear friend out here in the jungle. Speaking of which, his logical thoughts added, why was Bobby out here anyway?
Anyone else would have gotten a faceful of teeth for calling him a puppy but Bobby could call him whatever the hell she liked, he figured. He was about to hop up onto his back legs and try to lick her face in canine greeting when with an oops, he was trapped.
He cackled aloud, even after having the air knocked out of his lungs by the topple. At least here he could give her a happy lick, his tail still making a valiant attempt at wagging. "As elegant as ever I see." he joked. "What brings you out here?"

Like she was the only one to call him her 'puppy', he was probably the only one who could call her 'elegant' or the like..... even though he was probably the only who would want to.
Her face was licked clean with coyote lick, and when he was done, she was content to just lie next to him, her face resting on his furry shoulder. A few piggish grunts of happiness came from her throat. "You know you like it!" Bobby reached over her head to itch an ear as she referred to his 'seeing her'.
It took her awhile to respond to the question. The pig just wanted to rest for awhile while she overcame her workout. "Mmmmm... they're having a Halloween party... and I thought...." Bobby snuggled further into his fur, "we should get matching costumes." She added the last bit under her breath.

Pyroth gave Bobby a toothy grin for her comment on his objections, resting his head on one of his forepaws, deciding that he wasn't going anywhere for the moment.
He blinked though at the realisation of what month Halloween would make it.
"It's October already?" he said with evident surprise. "I've been out here for a long time." Indeed, he felt like he had lost a month simply living on instinct. It was a good thing Bobby showed up when she did, he figured.
Of course, this close his large ears picked up her comment on costumes and his mood once again brightened. "Yes, that'd give everyone something to talk about." he cackled in a mock-evil manner. "And at the same time I'd really enjoy the break from the daily grind out here." And a chance to spend time with the one person on the island he really didn't want to be without was yet another perk, one he left unsaid, hoping that Bobby just knew implicitly what he meant.
"Any ideas what costumes? I'll wear anything so long as you give me a hand putting it on, lack of opposable thumbs is a pain."

Bobby sniffed, "I guess so.... I cannot believe how-" Her words choked off while she tried not to think about that. This was her life now, here with Pyroth. He made it more tolerable.
"You think?" The pig giggled-gurgled. She wondered what people would say about them -- maybe similar to what her parents would have thought if she had brought home a blond, blue-eyed white boy instead of Trevor? Or... a coyote-man! The thought made Bobby's smile broaden.
"To be honest, you may have more luck than me," she lifted her hands, two large cloven hooves with some digits just sticking out. Bobby snorted, "We could experiment together...." the tone in her voice didn't leave for any imagination as she pig-grunted with 'suspicion'.
"Well," she said after awhile, "there are many pairs I think. There is Bow-Peep and her sheep. Then Antony and Cleopatra. John Smith and Pocohantus. Superman and Louis...."

Pyroth eyed Bobby's hands with concern, seeing she hadn't gotten off lightly either. "How are we supposed to deal with stupid things like cans, zips and books now?" he laughed, as always making light of heavy situations so no one got mired in emotion too often. "But yeah, you are right, we can deal as a team. Four misshapen sets of digits are better than two." he winked, with a grin.
But it was the list of costumes that made him laugh out loud, they were sheer genius, bound to turn heads and make people laugh, something the island sorely needed. He managed to stop laughing long enough to say.
"Oh my god, Antony and Cleopatra, can you /imagine/ me dressed in roman garb?" the mental image would normally have depressed him, but since it would be the two of them it did nothing but made him laugh out loud.

Bobby pet-scratched Pyroth's flank in demonstration, "Not off lightly, no... but they are very hard and not likely to 'break a nail' now." She snorted in sarcasm, "As to cans, I can just pommel it.... zippers... erm.. we'll see... and books.... hold it down and carefully turn a page?"
The pet-scratched turned to tickles, "The misshapen shall take over the world -erm" Bobby kidded, "Island...." Not like she had the ambition for any plans. The pig was very very very VERY lazy.
"Tooooga for Pyroth! You'll be the sexiest coyote at the ball!" Bobby smiled. Now... her in a scantily-clad Egyptian costume... she almost pitied the other guests.

He grinned at Bobby's comment, agreeing with that much. "Hands were always really delicate, flexible but delicate. Losing the mobility was a pain but it does mean that now I can run /fast/." he wagged his tail, or tried to anyway. The runnning around effortlessly was what made it all seem very worthwhile.
He laughed "Eventually Moreau will fill it so full of people that'd be inevitable anyway."
The idea of a toga amused him greatly and he smirked "Damn right." he went on jokingly "I mean with a shape like mine, how can I not look good?"

Bobby looked down at her hooves. She still had a little bit of movement with them... spreading them and bringing them together. No lateral, though. "Well..." she prodded Pyroth lightly, "I am not graced with high-speed chases anymore. I'll just have to talk them to surrender... or threaten them...." The pig looked at the coyote with a malicious grin on her face. Her teeth and tusks sparkled in the molted sunlight.
"Naaaah," she waved him off. "I lived in New York City, remember... if there isn't enough room you simply build higher and deeper.... make room. He could probably hollow out parts of the volcano-mountain for more rooms and stuff." Not like she wanted to give the /good/ doctor any ideas.
"Mmmm.... exactly...." Bobby tackled Pyroth and started to nuzzle-eat his neck playfully.

Pyroth shook his head "Nah, you don't need to get invoved in high speed chases any more, you are part of the canine corps now." he smirked "Just sic me on them and then make them talk when they are downed, after all, your skills of persuasion are unrivalled" clearly the powers of persuasion he spoke of weren't that different from the threats Bobby'd mentioned only moments before.
But he did agree with the space comment "You are probably right, with the amount of cash that crackpot has to throw around, he could reclaim the sea around the island."
He mock-yelped as he was pounced but clearly didn't mind the attention, out on his own there'd been no one to talk to, mess around with, even just lean on, silly things you forgot about until you didn't have them.
Nuzzling Bobby back, careful of her tusks he added in a more level tone. "We have to order the costumes fro the lab, right?" He wondered how they'd ever find his size.
