Oni awoke, looking around. The lighting was dimn, but darkness never faded Oni's vision. Shackles held Oni's arms down, pinning him within about five feet of the wall. He tried to remember how he got there, but doing so only gave him a headache.

After straining, his memory returned. He was drinking at a local pub, and remembered an odd taste in his drink, then his vision became blurry, and he eventually awoke in this stone room, which looked to be a dungeon.

"Oh great," He said, spitting a bad taste out of his mouth. He reached for his Shadow Blade, and found it not at his waist. He'd have to find an alternative method of escape. Oni focused, and almost effortlessly ripped the shackles right out from the wall. He took a stand, and heard an odd, murking sound.

Turning around, Oni saw nothing but the normal dungeon. That is, until a gate at the far end opened, and a heavy-breathing sound echoed from it. A large, almost bear-like beast wabbled out, thick with muscle and fur, it's yellow, bloodstained teeth gaped open, leading to an enormous mouth. Oni couldn't tell whether it was of this world or not. Either way, it was hungry.

(OOC: It could probably do with a more detailed, better introduction, but hey its not like we're doing an epic tale here, are we?)

*he phases out of a shadowed corner holding the severed head of a mummy that assaulted him upon his entry from the shadow world* If this is the best competition this place has to offer I might as well wipe everything out quickly so that an actual challenge might be attracted. That and it's fun watching the weak squirm* *he shakes his head a little bit giveing off a small and light chuckle* *he looks around to see if anyone might be a fighter that lives up to his standards*

"Huh," Jalexer was staring out his window. "That is interesting, look at all that slaughter and chaos," he was gazing in ammusement at the death of man and monster alike, he wanted chaos and fear, and it was clear he did not care who it came from. Jalexer summoned up a ghost," Go to my dungeon now and tell me more on those warriors, I want death." Jalexer started over to a newly aquired sword," This is the famed 'Shadow Blade' huh? Seems like such a joke to me, I just wanted the person that came with it. I hope he does a better job escaping, he got there easily enough."

Oni was bent down low, ready for the beast to attack. It lunged at Oni, but he jumped over it, smacking it across the head with the long chains that rattled off his wrists. Without his Shadow Blade, Oni would have to do with what he had.

As the thing passed, Oni landed and spun, whipping the chain around it's hind leg and pulling. The beast fell over hard, slamming it's head into the ground. It was down, but far from finished. The beast got up, and glared at Oni. He watched as it slowly approached. Apparently this beast wasn't all that dumb, because it seemed to be studying Oni, watching for sneak attacks, or possibly searching for a week point. Either way, it wasn't going down hard.

Oni prepared to take the hit, but when it actually happened, it was more than he had realized. The beast shoulder-rammed him hard, knocking him into a wall. Oni was dazed and stunned, but had no time for that. Because the next thing he realized was a large, muscular arm was thrown at him. Oni rolled to the left and avoided the hit, only to see the beasts fist go elbow deep into the wall. Had that been Oni's face, he wouldn't even have a skull anymore.

Oni looked around in the one spare moment he had, looking for anything that he could use to defeat this creature. He found a knights sword lain astrew, rusted in it's place from what seemed like years ago. Picking it up, he watched the monster retract it's arm from the wall, and try for another slash. Oni blocked it with the sword, watching in horror as one hit shattered the weakened blade.

"Oh great," He said to himself, tossing the broken handle aside. It wasn't of much use at all. Oni decided he'd have to use what he had, and was determined to take this beast down. Not like he had any other choice.
