It was with a heavy heart that the male led his children back to the Pridelands. He was completely lost, his body and mind ached with the realisation of what had happened. He couldn't cope with the loss. Though the adult was surrounded by his family, without Bakhti he felt suddenly lonely. His pace dropped as he broke into the border of the Pridelands. These lands would never be the same again. Memories interlaced with each glimpse of scenery. Each place had it's own story, it's own phrase and Bakhtis voice and smile was so clear in his mind.
Choking on a sob, he hid his eyes for a moment, though they were glistening as he raised his large chocolate-maned head. "Children, We're home."
At least for them, they would have no painful memories to stop them from enjoying these lands. They would move on as they grew, though sadness would still taint their early childhood, he knew they would enjoy their life to the full. Maybe he would never move on.
