Of all the celebrities I've seen in plays, I have to say that the most unique ones have got to be Milton Berle in Goodnight, Grandpa and Macaulay Culkin in Madame Melville. Uncle Milty is a TV icon and Culkin was making his acting comeback. I would never have thought I'd see them in a play.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Patti Lupone, Betty buckley, Eric Stoltz, Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Anthony Rapp were in plays. They've done several.
christina Applegate and Madonna are others I wouldn't expect to see onstage in a play. Have you ever seen a celebrity in a play you never thought you'd ever see onstage?

Although I realize he's been onstage before, after so many years of "3rd Rock From the Sun", it was a bit unusual to hear that John Lithgow was back onstage.

Nathan Lane's been in shows so many times, I think it's right to consider him more of a Broadway actor than anything else.

Years ago I saw the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast and got to go backstage (I met the actors playing Belle, the Beast, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and possibly others). This year I found out that the actor who played Lumiere was Gary Beach and that Erin Dilly (who played Belle) is the main female character in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Yeah.I met Jenna Leigh Green twice. She was on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and she is now in the musical WICKED. She is so nice it is so funny to see her from when she played Libby. I also have met the rest of the LA cast of WICKED.

I saw the little girl from "Jersey Girl" in White Christmas 2 years ago (though I still don't care...). Then there was Miss America (Kate Shindle) in Legally Blonde, who was a pretty good belter. Of course, the biggest star I saw was Molly Ringwald in the tour of Sweet Charity. Not good. Definitely not good.

Two summers ago I saw Liev Schreiber as Macbeth at Shakespeare in the Park, that was pretty surprising. especially as he was the best Macbeth I have EVER seen. Turns out his original training was Shakespearian, but I had only ever seen him in the movie Manchurian Candidate razz

I've seen Corey Glover (Lead singer of Living Colour, a band that went platinum and won loads of awards) play as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. That was somewhat surprising.
