I know this topic is somewhere in this guild. I am in a yahoo group... the kikyou guild and she says she does not know why people hate kikyou so here is what she is saying...
(1.Kikyou had hurt Kagome many times at the beginning of her rebirth!
Haven't you watched in completely??She took away shikon no tama from
Kagome,and then hurt her,and gave to Naraku.
2.Later,Kikyou began to know about Nalaku.50years ago ,the real murder
was Naraku, not, Inuyasha.
3.Do you hate Kikyou? why so many people hate her??¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ªI don't know
either.
Why so many people critized her??why so many??I understand that at the
period when Kikyou hurt Inuyasha and Kagome,at that time ,it's natural
to hate her.But how about later,she really changed to be kinder and
better.
though I love Kagome,but I don't hate Kikyou now, why can't so many
people stand in a fair way to consider Kikyou???
Oh,I've got it! Maybe the people who hate Kikyou haven't read the
comics of 465¡ª¡ªthe part Kikyou finally died!!)
Oh and the message I read why people hate kikyou is because she wear the same clothes... that person is stupid becasue they all wear the same clothes.

I think that listening to anti-Kikyo fans is stupid. mad There are people who are pro-Kikyo and people who are pro-Kagome. Then, there are those who say they like them both, just to avoid confrontation. stare I like Kikyo because, she's still trying to get Inuyasha back, no matter how impossible it seems. She is full of regret for what she did. She let her feelings control her, she felt as though she was cursed to be incomplete forever. She always had to deal with not being normal, and when Naraku disguised himself as Inuyasha and struck her down, her anger at herself and everyone else in her village who depended on her so much, was brought to the surface, but she felt guilt in the end, and still loving Inuyasha, didn't kill him, only sealed him and let herself die in attonement. cry Inuyasha forgave her right away. He was happy to die for her pain. He still loved her when he was unsealed. He thought of Kagome as an intruder to his love for Kikyo, but he couldn't help but feel some feelings for her, sharing the same soul as Kikyo and all. He just doesn't love her like he loves Kikyo, no matter what all you high girly girl, Kagome-supporters think. stare In the end, there is no future in Inuyasha and Kikyo's love, but in death or if Kikyo can be revived by the Shikon Jewel. I feel sorry for Kikyo AND Inuyasha. cry It's all so sad.

I love Kikyo. I look up to her like a big sister. I HATE it when people critisize her. They say Kikyo gets in the way of Kagome and InuYasha's relationship, when Kikyo was there first and Kagome is actually getting in the way of Kikyo and InuYasha's relationship.

I agree what both of you are saying. Even though Kikyou was the first girl Inuyasha loved and Kagome just came out of nowhere. Like an alien out of space. Kagome should just simply mind her ODB.

Okay, a thing to point out:
Kikyo is easy-going with Inuyasha and Kagome, but Kagome makes a big fuss about it. That's what I don't think is right. Kikyo cares, she just isn't the mother of Inuyasha's heart, and she knows that. But Kagome isn't so easy-going as Kikyo. She always tells him to sit.
And I'm not being Anti-Kagome, I'm just making a point...

Can't anyone see the conspiresies against Kikyo? I mean sure she did hurt Kagome but wouldn't you want to hurt the person that took the person you loved away? I mean some people just hate her becuase she is still in love with Inuyasha and they belive that Kagome should be with Inuyasha. I mean thinking that Kagome and Inuyasha is perfectly fine but to hate Kikyo just for still loving Inuyasha is just absured.

I think that the problem with both Kagome-haters and Kikyo-haters is that they're so set in their emotions that all they can do is say things like "Kikyo is a b***h" or "Kagome is a slut". Anyway, the people that say things like "Kikyo tried to kill Inuyasha" or "Kikyo hurt Kagome" aren't really taking into account the fact that it isn't really Kikyo. It's a clay doll without a soul. The only thing she has left is the emotion that she had right before dying, which is hatred. For a more accurate portrayal of who Kikyo really is, people should look at the flashback episodes about what life was like before Naraku. If Kagome went to hell and back, she probably wouldn't be all spunk and cheer either.

If Kikyo never died, Kagome wouldn't exist. And if that happened, those supposed-to-be-Kagome fans would like Kikyo if Naraku never interferred. That simple, but since it did, it still doesn't matter to me because Kikyo is an awesome character. 3nodding
She might've hurt Kagome and Inu-Yasha...then again she was just doing it for their own good in a way. Kikyo has a hard time to express her feelings, Kagome is a typical modern girl, so she is used to expressing her feelings, and that's why I think people like her that much because they know her more. As a result, people can assume things about Kikyo since not very much information is released from her personality, how she really feels and what's her real intention. For example, I've seen people who judged others who are shy to be rude...they are just shy to speak up what they think because they think you'll laugh at their ideas, in other words, they aren't being rude.
