Sure-footed light steps crushed the small blades of grass beneath his hooves as the oddly-colored stallion made his way across the dark wasteland, flaming tail lighting his way as golden hues surveyed the hillsides curiously. He had no idea where he was, quite honestly, and although he wasn't one to worry a lot, this significant change in scenery was starting to concern him.

Cualtzin made his way slowly. He had to get something to drink. Leaving Tally alseep in her teepee. He hurt. His leg had stopped bleeding, though it wasn't wrapped yet. Dry blood made his coat around his leg stick in clumps. It wasn't as bad as it looked, but it was really hard to walk on it.
Every few steps he limped or hopped trying not to use his leg. He snorted as he stopped. It would take him forever to get to the lake. He heard rumors about healing powers from uni and alicorns. Where was Jeevita when he needed her? Though, what he didn't know, was she didn't have the healing power.
He continued on, he really needed something to drink. The weather was better then it was a day ago. The storm had past. He stopped again. This one almost falling on his but. "Gosh, I'm useless" he said to himself. How could Tally like someone so stupid like himself. He hung his head low as he stood there. His left back leg up in the air. He felt hopeless.

The familiar scent of blood came to his attention as it tainted the air around him, and his nose wrinkled slightly as flamed tail waved and curled around his side so he could see the path ahead of him better. The curious sight of another stallion, a strangely colored black and white one, with... was that flowers in his mane? Nevermind that, he shook the thought from his head with a toss of his head.
Careful steps took him closer to the other male as he lowered his head in what he hoped was a placating gesture, offering a small, disarming grin as he approached. "Salutations, friend." He took note of the blood that stained his back leg and the grass beneath it, grimacing as his tail moved forward to illuminate it better. "Is there something I can do to help you?"

A light came in view. Strangly it was a tail of another Stallion. Brightly colored, Cualtzin would have normally oogled at it. Tonight was just not the time. Worrying about weather Tally was ok or not. He didn't know if she was dieing or living. He gave a confushed look at the stallion at first. He didn't quite understand the first thing he said. But then shook his head.
"Unless you have healing powers, no." He didn't say why he needed healing powers. Perhaps the stallion would think it was for him. It wasn't. He could careless about himself. He looked as if he had cried a bit earlier. He was depressed. "But thanks for offering, friend" He said. He didn't even state his name. Strange for him indeed.
But seeing this was a new soquili, he wouldn't know if this was really how he acted. He gave a fake smile at the stallion. He didn't want to seem rude, even though his life wasn't going as plan. His mate was hanging for her life and he couldn't do anything about it.

He returned the smile, however fake it was, and took note of the fact that there was obviously something else wrong, whether he said it or not. Still, he was right, there was really nothing that he could do about it, and he offered an apologetic look to the other with a small sigh. "Forgive my rudeness, I just seem to have gotten myself lost... my name is Nanaki," he dipped his head in a brief, curt but polite greeting to the dappled male, casting a curious glance towards the teepee behind him, but said nothing about it.

He looked at the Stallion. Nanaki was it? He smiled, this time it wasn't fake. "Well, you are in the land of soquili, or do you not know where your teepee is?" He didn't know which he ment. Which most the time he made a fool of himself.
"But right now, your in the village." He nodded towards the teepee. Tally's to be exact. It was silent. Both two-leggers inside where sleeping and Tally wasn't awake for an hour now. He hung his head again. "Your new around here, aren't you? I'm not too sure. I haven't been out and about for a while"

"Is it that obvious?" he grinned sheepishly, shifting his weight from one hoof to another. "I'm new in both senses, really... I've come across a few two-leggers, but you're the first of our kind I've seen around." He glanced up at the night sky with a small sigh, letting golden hues slide closed briefly before he turned his attention back to the other stallion. "Ah, may I ask your name?"

Cualtzin nodded. Makes sence. "I see." he looked back at Nanaki. "Sorry for my rudeness. It's Cualtzin." Did he dare say what has been bothering him, or let this stallion wonder? It wasn't any of his busness but it felt nice getting it out.
"I'm not myself right now. Excuse my unhappy additude." He added looking back at the ground. He didn't want this to end bad, so he had to say that he wasn't being himself. Perhaps the other stallion would understand.

"It's quite alright, I do understand," he nodded sagely. There was obviously something else wrong that he wasn't saying, but it wasn't his place to question or meddle in the other's affairs, so he simply kept his mouth shut. There wasn't much he could do to help, anyway, despite how much he would've liked to. "I'd like to say it's nice to meet you, Cualtzin, but under the circumstances, that wouldn't be entirely appropriate."

He gave a smirk. "Sorry. It's just been a rough night." He said again nodding towards the teepee. He tried to cheer up a little bit more. She was fine. Yes. With Alsoomse in there, she was going to live. No reason to be upset. He sighed. "I guess sometimes some can't always be happy"
He watched Nanaki's tail for a minute. Curious on how it glow and what a strange tail. He'd never seen anything like it. He heard Unicorns had them, but Cualtzin didn't see any horn. "How does one get a tail that glows?" He asks still oogling at the tail.

He blinked for a moment at the unexpected question, but realized that it was probably an odd sight to a normal soquili. Glancing back at the said appendage, he offered a small grin to the dappled stallion. "I suppose you could say I inherited it... it is a bit strange among soquili, isn't it? I never really considered it." His thoughts wandered to his father not for the first time, and undoubtedly not the last. He shook his head again to clear it, however- now was not the time to be reminiscing about the past.
"My mother and father were the last of our kind... they passed that title on to me, but I'm not really the same creature I was before..."

He chuckled. He didn't know what was strange. This place was strange in it's self. "Well, nothing's strange here. I just though your tail looked different. I heard that Unicorns had those tails, but never glowing." He said trying to keep his mind off of Tally.
"What happened to them? Your parents, I mean?" he really wasn't a stallion that stayed out of other's buisness. Curiousity would get him into trouble one of these days. It almost got him in a pickle before. With a bounch of Kalonas. To him they looked quite friendly, in a strange way, and wanted to introduce himself.

A small smile was offered to the other stallion to assure him that he was not treading on unwelcome ground, despite the fact that he didn't seem deterred by it, anyway. The subject of his parents- his father in particular- was no longer a sensitive one... in fact, now that he had come to terms with it, he was proud to think of and share the noble sacrifice his father had made for their village.
"My father's name was Seto... he and my mother and I lived in a small, peaceful village, but when it came under attack, my mother hid me away while they fought. I was only a cub, so I couldn't do anything, but my parents fought bravely- especially my father. He saved the village, and became a hero... but the enemys' poison spears turned his body to stone. My mother died shortly afterwards of her own wounds, but my fathers' statue still stands proudly where he died."
His voice had trailed off to a slightly wistful tone, golden eyes glazed over in reminiscence, but he shook it off as his story came to an end.

Cualtzin looked down at the ground. "Oh... I'm... I'm sorry to hear that" Cualtzin didn't know his parents. He was taken away from them when he was a cult. A village, not this one, much worse. Though, he escaped with a little girl. Now he's here with that girl still.
"I'm sure one day, he'll be unstoned" he said. Not really sure if that was the right thing to say. He gave another smile to him. This stallion had been though alot more then he had, now his life would change. Mostly for the better, unless he ran into some Kalonas.
