Adia walked along the shore of the lake of the Rose Petal Pride lands on her usual patrol. Her normal happy trot that she tended to use during patrols was replaced with a slow lumber as her eyes were unfocused and a concern was written on her face. She seemed to be thinking and any who knew her would know that her thoughts were directed towards the current events between her two children Daveigh and Arsenic. The two had been getting in very fercious fights and over the same thing theirs friends. She didn't know what to do with them or how to control the situation. With a slight sigh Adia sat down on an rock outcropping over the water and stared at the rippling water as her thoughts wandered over it all.

The dark red teen layed not far from his mother, but didn't notice her. He ran a striped paw through the water and stared at the wake it made. His mind was haulted on one thought, the recent fights he was getting into. It wasn't in his normal personality to snarl and growl and threaten people. He wasn't sure why he did it. "Why does everything have to be so confusing?" he sighed and rest his head on his paws.

Adia glanced over as she heard the voice of another and perked up her ears as she spotted her son. Standing up she headed over to Arsenic and sat down next to him. "Arsenic honey what's wrong? I'm worried about you and your sister. I've never seen you two fight so badly. Is there something you're not telling us? Something bothering you?"

At his mother's voice he stiffened. "It's nothing Mom," he looked away out of the corners of his eyes, making eye contact would show the confusion. She couldn't know, because she wouldn't understand. Are you sure of that? A voice challenged his thought. Was he sure? He honestly didn't know.

Adia peered at her son noticing him stiffen and almost seem to withdraw. She sighed at this and tried to make eye contact with him. "Arsenic you should know by now I can see when you are upset. I can read you like I read your father. If you don't want to tell me though it's alright but I may be able to help you feel even just a little better." She said trying to give one of Santos' amusing happy expressions to lighten Arsenic up.

Arsenic forced himself to look into his mother's eyes. That was when the tear finally flowed. Clear drops fell around his paws and he buried his face into the grass. "Mom I don't unterstand," his voice was softer than usually, almost unheard. "I don't understand. I don't get it," he repeated over and over again.

Adia instantly hit mother mode seeing her son cry and moved closer to him, placing a paw over his shoulders and nuzzled her muzzle against his neck. "What is it honey? What don't you understand?" She asked while keeping up her nuzzling.

He shook his head, burying his face deeper into the ground. "I don't understand a lot of things," he shook violently. "I don't get why you always hate my friends. I don't get why you're fine with Daveigh's. I don't get why everything has to fall onto me. I JUST DON'T GET IT!" his voices was muffled by the ground but he was still understandable.

Adia was taken aback by her sons words. How could she respond to this? "Honey I... I don't always hate your friends. The friends I have met of yours have been so rude and hurtful to others they have interacted with I don't want then to turn on you and be that hurtful to you. ...Daveigh only has two actual friends. Though one I am still a little weary of one he has shown no aggression towards her and has even protected her." Adia stopped for a moment took in a deep breath and looked at her son. How long had he been holding in all these feelings? "Arsenic, you're the heir of the Rose Petal Pride. Someday you will take over for your father, you will find a mate and everything is going to fall on you as king. I know it is hard but we want you to be ready when the time comes to become king. We love you, me and your father both. Sometimes I know it doesn't feel like that but we do, trully we do."

"I only have 2 friends as well mother and you seem to dislike both of them," he bit into his paw to stop him from saying anything more. He had gotten into a habit of inflicting pain upon himself when stressed. "If I can befriend these lions who could be the greatest threats, and turn them into allies, that's a good thing. There's only been one on-going case of rudeness~" he stopped himself and looked away, tears still flowing steadily. They seemed to want to never end. All the tears built up from the beginnin of the quarrels, all flowing at the same time.

Adia frowned something that gave her an older and more of a moody mother look. "Your right honey. I don't like them but it's a very good thing that you can befriend possible enemies..." She replied hoping she was choosing her words extra carefully. "That one case of rudeness is what upsets me though..." Adia stopped as she spotted her sons tears. She bit her bottom lip. No matter what was said or what she said there was only really one thing that could possibly have a good effect. "Arsenic I'm sorry... This is my fault for being so hard on you. If you can make friends with these cubs then do it. I won't say anymore. You have my ok to make friends with whoever you want. I promise." With that Adia leaned down and began to clean Arsenic's face of his tears.

Arsenic froze again and thought this all over in his mind. He had just been given permission to keep his friends, his mother had apologized.. there was only one thing that he needed to get off his chest. "Mom.. I'm.. I'm sorry for fighting with Daveigh, I shouldn't have taken my anger out on her. It was foolish. I'm so sorry," he nuzzled her cheek gently and then looked around. "I need to apologize to her.. do you know where she is?"

Adia managed to clean Arsenic's face of all his tears while he was froze and then returned his nuzzle. "The last I saw of her she was torturing a lizard back at the den. You might go check there." She said and stepped back so Arsenic could stand.
Daveigh sat on the flat rocks just outside the den with a lizard trapt just beneath her paw. She peered down on her paw with only the wiggling tail of the lizard visible. She snarled at the tail and dropped her other paw down upon the wiggling tail.

Arsenic nodded and got up. Stretching he nuzzled his mom a second time. "I really am sorry," he whispered. With that he was on his way to the den. He ran the whole way, wanting to get this all over with. At his sisters snarl his slowed down and roared softly to announce his presence. It was a lot easier than think up a way to start the conversation.
