@_@ Oh man. It was sub only. I didn't know they didn't do the voices in English. LOL. can see the gayness of hearing it in English. LOL. It'd make an impact. But why the devil no English dub? Not that I don't like subs but sheesh. Multitask during the subtitles is hard.

When I bought the DVDs a couple months ago, I was surprised there was no English dub.
However, I am also relieved. I was slightly curious to listen to a version in English, though only to see how much they screwed everyone up.
I do understand the difficulty of multitasking when you're watching subbed anime, though. That's why I make sure I'm not doing anything else, or have already watched it so many times I already know what's going on and what they're all saying without having to read the subtitles. 8D

watching it for the first time subs and trying to use a laptop is hard. @_@ expecially when the PC isn't facing the big screen at the library.

yeah, it is kinda hard, tho sometimes i pause it to read or rewind a bit. tho i do luv to listen to english dubs to see how they screw it up! xd sometimes funny, other times painful.

I don't bash some English dubs. :3 Me dreaming of being a voice actor as a job i guess. ADV does some good dubs. >.< Not all dubs suck. I just hate when dubs change lots of stuff they say,.

I'm really pessimistic and picky when it comes to English dubs. But there are a lot of series that I just don't think could be dubbed well in English, because of the (possible) weird translation of the dialogue, or, most often, I just don't think anyone else could voice a certain character as well as the original seiyuu.
In the case of Loveless, I don't think anyone else could voice Kio as well as Ken Takeuchi did. But that might be because I'm a total Kio fangirl, and I'm just afraid any English-speaking VA would ruin his voice/personality.
But, hey, it happened to Ryuichi in Gravitation. >>
I. Hated. His. Voice.

I think it's cool that you might wanna be a VA, though. ;3
If I had a good voice, I think it'd be an awesome thing to do.

:3 I seriously wanna voice act, but problems come with getting to the nearest studio to audition. @_@ Maybe one day when I can actually get there. mad But I've met tons of voice actors in person and get tips. 3nodding

I'm kind of glad that Loveless doesn't have English dubs. I don't try to be, but I judge English dubs for anime pretty harshly, especially after I've already watched the anime in Japanese. I think part of it has something to do with the language itself, but English just doesn't seem to be the best language for some anime.

i just can't see the english voices i've always heard it in the japanese and the english would just seem to different to me

there are some good dubs. ^_^ Loveless i can see harder to dub cause the voices are way different. Yuiko is high and annoying, and very young. it's hard to find a "young boy voice" for ritsuka too. young voices are harder for adults. American dubs often use adults and don't deal with younger actors like japan. Also, japan has talented females to do young males. English is harder for girls to sound boyish.

i kinda liked the ending of the anime cause it made youwant to go read the manga tosee what happens next but a lot of animes i find do that
