Like Grubilman pointed out Maiden has influenced many current bands, so until I get more sub-forums up please keep all talk relative to this subject here.

Anyone here like Light This City? This one part of The Unwelcome Savior is obviously influenced by Maiden.

Iced Earth were influenced heavily by Maiden. The reason I mention this is because I notice you have our guild's banner in your sig. Thanks for flying the flag of the mighty Power Metal Guild!

Actually a lot of Black Metal bands are like Iron Maiden (epic,) but Iron Maiden has clear vocals, and Black Metal has screeched vocals. Bands like BERSERK (you wouldn't know them, because they're underground xd ) are really epic, and war-like, like Iron Maiden.

Iced Earth so good... The Glorious Burden is my favorite so far, mainly because I'm a history buff.

It was your guild that got me into them, so I thought the least I could do would be to put a banner in my sig.

I’m not a big fan of Trivium. All my friends are in love with them but no matter how hard I try I just can’t ‘see the light’. Also, their new stuff sounds too much like Metallica.

WizardOfNos-if you have not already seen it get on youtube and search ‘metal by numbers’, there is a reference to cookie monster vocals I imagine you will like.

I also like Iced Earth's earlier stuff as well. Hell, Iced Earth is just a great band!!!

And I'm glad that my guild helped you out 3nodding

I have yet to hear an album by Iced Earth I don’t like. Although, I only have a few albums so I’m hardly one to talk. I’m aiming to get the rest sometime this year.

History rocks, what history class are you in? World, U.S., or something else?

I'm in A.P. World History. That's really the only class I have left to take, actually. I'm a senior this year and I can't take anything else sad

Iced Earth is a great band, I've got everything by them. I can understand where you're coming from, they are amazingly awesome because they are consistent in their delivery. Even though their vocalists may change, they keep pounding out the same stuff every time heart
